Thanks for the detailed review. Recently did yacht club on the Virtuosa and was looking at Seaview out of Rio next year. Thanks for highlighting the smoking areas.

This was our first YC experience so can’t compare it to anything else but we loved it. The ship is great and the staff are fantastic. Have a great time if you book that cruise out of Rio!

It was our first YC and we certainly enjoyed it! We were very impressed with what they have to offer but it’s the staff that really make it. They were fantastic!
To have priority access when using the lifts / elevators- simply scan your yacht club wrist band or key card on the black fob box below the panel of numbers for each deck and press your required deck. You will then over ride everyone else's deck choice (standard guest categories) and the lift will take you before them.

This didn’t work on our cruise on any of the lifts. Even when we had the butler escorting us on we stopped at all of the other decks. Every time we scanned our cards or bands we got an error message and couldn’t put our deck number in. Thank you for confirming though. We wondered if we were doing something wrong!
@CruisingColemans Must have been broken 😢. As that's usually one of the great aspects about YC.
@@Podgey25 it’s one thing we thought we would make a lot of use of 😂 never mind. At least the lifts worked which is the main thing
The Seaside Class MSC Ships (Seaside and Seashore) are our favorite ships. I especially prefer their Yacht Club over the Meraviglia's. We hope to try out the Seaview when it comes to the US. Great video 😁👍

This was our first YC experience but it won’t be our last! We had a great cruise and couldn’t have asked for more. We’re sailing on Meraviglia next year and considered YC but decided not to. Can I ask what makes the others better than Meraviglia?
@@CruisingColemans It's the subtle changes. In Yacht Club the topsail lounge is not connected to the resturant. The Atrium is not as tall as the Meraviglia. The Meraviglia has the lighted roof instead. It's changes like that. Most people prefer the Meraviglia to the Seaside.

Yes children are allowed in YC. We haven’t got children ourselves but we found that the children in YC have been very respectful
At my the time the Concierge Service was great.
It might just be that we were unlucky but that was our experience
