I feel like as an average hitter, you throw me 100 knuckleballs and I could get lucky and hit one. If you throw me 100 fastball coming in at like 105mph, there's 0 chance I'd catch up to it.

I agree with your reasoning, but I think if you saw 90 straight 100mph pitches, you would have a chance at squaring up one or two of the last 10.

Fun fact: at 60’6”, your reaction time to hitting a 105mph fastball is .39 seconds (it will be less, given a pitcher’s release point)
