Alan got me to switch from high bar to low bar and from Titan to Rogue. Hopefully, I'll get to check out the gym one day since I only live about 40-60 minutes away.
This makes me nostalgic for the homemade weights we had in high school weightlifting, made of 2” steel pipe and Yuban coffee cans filled with concrete on each end. Good times! Actually there’s no reason why I can’t make a few now.
The best part was Alan never mentioned any discount code or way to profit of the video via customers buying crash pads. For this reason I got stoic sleeves and a few other recommendations he has made. Great buys. Whether I need gear/ lifting advice or reassurance that I’m not injured to bad. He is the Goto.
5:35 For a couple of years now I have used a foam camping pad which I cut up into 2'x2' squares and stacked with a section of 3/4" rubber stall mat on top. Yes they compress still but if you're weak like me and don't have a 200+ lbs log they work great. Better yet I got the pad on my local classifieds for $10. So IMO this is a viable option for folks that aren't pressing serious weight. Also mine haven't deteriorated at all so no mess

Alan, can you please please do a video addressing hiatal hernia and bodybuilding? I've recently got it and I paused from gym for a while. I'd really love to return back soon...
I do this weekly and have probably had the log go flying 2-5% of the time. (Like 2-5% of my sessions not 2-5% of my reps) I use one on each end with a rubber Matt on top of each, that way it creates an air cushion as well. The log sometimes just go rolling forward and lands on the ground. Not a huge deal if you’re not worried about the finish of it
You could make a video of yourself telling everyone to be careful and showing how to put things away and then play it on a tv in the gym that loops the video. Lol (yes you can Alan!) xD

I’m sick of my regular training I wanna implement more powerlifting/strongman exercises, I train mostly at home these days but the 2-3 days at the gym when working in town (live in the mountains in Alaska) any tips, pointers, maybe DIY suggestions! 🤘🏽thanks, Death to false Metal and Hail Satan!!
