Kawhi has that aura where you can tell he's coasting in the regular season, but deep in your heart you know he's the best player in the NBA because no one can match his output in the playoffs.

That's because He's averaging 31 min a night, everybody else playing 34 to 38 min, that's 1 to 2 less minutes a quarter, it adds up. He's playing 3 less minutes a night then he did last season putting up nearly the same numbers but with far more ast.

hjaurigue nah, it’s just he doesn’t run as many pick and rolls as those other guys and isn’t as ball dominant. Whoever runs more pick and rolls will get more assists, but Kawhi knows that doing too much of that makes the offense too predictable so he runs more varied offense with isolations, post ups, playing off the ball, catch and shoot 3s, etc. Don’t equate assists to passing, guys like Larry Bird and Bill Walton didn’t exactly average monster assists numbers but anyone who’s watched basketball for a long time knows that those guys were way better passers than most guys who get high assists.

this game is by far the most explosive ive seen him play this season. his drives and jumpers have more force he have more bounce than all the games he played in this year he seems to move a lot swiftly in this game as well . he is getting more n more acclimated to coach docs schemes mkes quicker decision n reacting more naturally his rounding into form physically n conditioning wise. should be more fun going forward.

I still think the clippers need a defensive big to win a chip but when leonard is is on his A game it’s hard to beat them.
Zubac is that defensive big. He is a very good defensive big, just check his defense at the rim. He is also just 22.
Zubac is sneaky good on defense. Very big and athletic, don't let the looks fool you.
They're top 10 in Rim defense though, and Lakers with 3 Defensive bigs are only 0.5% better in Paint Points allowed per game then the Clippers. You don't need to block shots to protect the Paint my guy. They Pack the paint and cover the pasing lanes and they have the speed to recover to the 3 and Rotate and switch. And when Harrell tries he's Good Rim protecter.
I would go after Gasol though, but for Spacing purposes not Defensive.

I don't think we Need to make a trade but we will need zu to be far better on defense.

My boy makes it look so easy. I agree that Lebron is the player of the decade but Khawi has had a pretty good 7 year run 3 finals 2 finals MVP's with 2 different teams 2 defensive player of the year awards and beat Bron dominated Gianns and if not for his injury against the Warriors we will never know what else he could have done in that postseason. His FMVP with the Spurs means nothing. He got it for holding LeHelp to 35 ppg. Duncan, Parker and Ginnobli are the reason the Spurs won the chip, not mister 16 ppg.
Keep Hating. He was the spurs leading scorer in 3 games in that finals and played defense, unlike Lebron. He was averaging 17.8 ppg and Lebron was averaging 27.8 ppg, not 35 ppg. In games 3,4,5 where Spurs won Kawhi was averaging 23.6 points and Spurs leading scorer in those games. Btw, Kawhi was 22 and Lebron was in his prime (29)

I think this game showed why hes the best defender in the game when he feels like it.There was even one possesion when he picked Derozen from half court and then guarded another 3 spurs's players , harassing all 4 of them them till the clock run out ,forcing an offbalance three.

JaMychal returns but no Kawhi and Pat (sore groin) today. Kawhi has missed both meetings when we faced the Thunder. Not 100% sure we win today but very confident for the Christmas game even if LeBron plays.

It was a huge misunderstanding. The spurs could have applied load management as per Kawhi's request. It paid dividends for the Raptors. In the spurs defense, they are paying Kawhi a load of money and he wasn't even appearing in the arena anymore.
