you could make a comment for your viewers to reply with stories related to whats going on and then cherry pick your favorites to narrate or get someone to narrate them for you or something like that.

Log: Andre Van de merwe, head of damage control Div 2 abored the Hades.
I have joined the Jupiter's expedition. Mostly to keep our space birds purring and ready to blow up alian fokers.
The tech abord the Hades is state of the art. Nothing ever breaks, it's a boring job when the computers do most of the work. I have no idea what to expect hopefully we get to kill some alian fokers
      Log: date 21/02/2039
I'd never thought I'd see the day. Just heard that the alians are coming for us. Like a swarm of bees all headed for Jupiter. No idea what we did to cause this but I'm here for it. Hopefully we can have a lekker fight and bliksim them to dust.
      Log: date 07/03/2039
BF- Jupiter- Scourge , Hades and Botany. Today was our first engagement. The two alian fokers did not know what hit them. They had both vreked, still no work for me. I guess that's a good thing. Everyone is happy don't know if it's relief or just the enjoyment of killing the aliens. I don't really care as long as they do thier jobs I won't have to do mine.
      Log: date 26/03/2039
It has been three weeks of constant hard burning and fighting. Dokter has given us a concoction of meds to keep us all going. The longer this gose on the more mistakes are made and the more die. Just the other day we lost the civi, Botany alians got her. It was a massive shock as we keep on cleaving through the alian fokers like they are butter.
But today I had to do my job. Patching holes and fixing damage from the fight. Mistakes are being made. I don't know for how much longer the crew can keep this up.
      Log: date 31/02/2039
Today was a mess. We had taken several losses and I had to do my job again. The PD shot and the armor scuffed. I fear that week can't keep this up for much longer.
The continus pounding on the hull from the alian fokers guns sent the sound of constant knocking through the ship. Like death knocking on ur door. The armor held. Me ? I'm in bad shape like the rest. Lack of sleep and high G's has been taking its toll. I thought of writing to someone but there is no one back home to write to.
Earth fleet and Mars fleet should be hear soon hopefully we will still be here when they finally decide to show up.
      Signed- Andre

I remember those days, the first days of the real war. Of course to us we’d been at war since that first ship had crashed on our world but this was real war, where humanity could stand toe-to-toe with the xeno scum.
The Jovian campaign was hell, I was serving aboard the hades as a lieutenant. I remeber the panic of those days, held back only by our discipline and our wills. Every day the captains plotted potential intercepts, engineers would repair breeches and damages, gunners would run simulated battles to test their skill. It was a hard time, most of us didn’t sleep, though hades bunks were never the most comfortable to begin with, instead we imagined our next victory, blowing open another Hydra ship and throwing them off our colonies.
The battles were hard things but those first days of the campaign, we were glorious, stranded and awaiting reinforcements command decided attack was the best defence, we sortied daily, blew up ships daily, our friends died daily. I never got to thank the boys and girls of IO fortress, we’d have been scrap in the void had it not been for them. But in those days there just wasn’t the time, we had a war to win. - interview with Rear Admiral Issac Druganov, 2055

Somewhere in the USNA, cameras roll for a Late Night TV Show. We see the host jovially baner with his guests as they take their seats, easily recognizeable to us as Kamya and Max.
Host: "...now, ma'am I understand the conflict with the invader has come to an unprecedented level of escalation over assets nearby Jupiter, am I correct?"
Kamya: "Yes, Johnny. We've prepared a long time for this, and I would be remiss to not mention that the people of this great country have been behind us in this matter for a long time, too."
    *a smattering of applause*
Host: "So, it's all out war now... what's changed? What have you learned?"
Kamya: "Well, Johnny, we've told people about the Hydras pheromone tricks for a while, warning them how certain people's ambitions to negotiate or even submit to them on some kind of term are nothing but a pipedream... but really, what a lot of people don't know is, when the Hydra 'speak' their pheromonal language.... they make fart noises, Johnny."
    Host: "Excuse me?"
Kamya: "Fart noises, Johnny. They make farty sounds when they speak. Serving them would be among the least dignified thinks anyone can imagine."
Host: "That really is... I mean... really? Like 'pprrrrtt'?
Kamya: "Yes, Johnny. In fact, we've managed to record a meeting between the Hydra and the leader of the Servants in which the aliens stated 'ffffffrrrrrrtt-- pppbbbbbrrrrt', to which the Servants responded with 'ppppllllrrrrrrrrt'."
Host: "... what did she say?"
Kamya: "We're not quite sure, Johnny, but the aliens seemed to think it was a real stinker."
*sparse audience laughter rings out as the Host takes a moment to regain his composure, then turns to the second guest, Max, who has remained quiet so far*
Host: "Now, sir, I've been told you have a message to give to the Invaders, here, tonight? Why don't you go ahead?"
*The man he addressed fixes his gaze straight into the camera. His hand beckons closer and the shot gradually zooms in until his face fills the entire shot, his eyes staring forward unmovingly*
    Max: "Run."

Yeah I was thinking throughout most of the episode how great a series about Terra Invictas plot or just the Jovian War in particular could be. The tense weeks of waiting for the reinforcing fleet, pronounced at times by watching the time-delayed data coming from BF Jupiter duking it out. The cheers through HF 1 after every won engagement, the painful sting of the loss of the Botany, the horrid revelation that the Victors started fitting Plasma weaponry, and throughout it all Castile sitting on a control base on Earth, directing efforts. And that is JUST the space aspect, not to say anything of the thrilling stories to be told dirtside.

The Jovian war led to daily medical innovations in micro-g and short term high g environments.
In fact, the crews begged the medics to chemically "augment" them. They would burn out due to their biology being pushed to the limit and possibly never be able to survive in a sustained g environment again, but they knew what was at stake.
People before them sacrificed themselves as a distraction so that Earth would avoid bombardment. Here, they were no mere distraction, they were fighting.
For the homeworld, for Humanity and for the sacrifice of those who died as nothing more than a distraction, they *had* to make it count.
If that meant never returning to the thing that they loved so dearly, so be it.

The following excerpt is from the Broken convoy mission report
    Report 16-03-39-3J
    Operation: Broken convoy
    Time of engagement 19:51 GMT
    Captain of the HF-Auspost
    [...]
We intercepted four of the alien craft as ordered by command, however in the chase my ship had separated from the main battle group. This put us dangerously close to the alien battery fire overwhelming our PD, luckily the ship sustained minimal damage in the opening salvo. The admiral ordered we, as he put "Tokyo drift" ourselves around their ships. During this maneuver both the hades and scourge began to open fire upon the alien vessels. Approximal 9 minutes into the battle the alien vessel codenamed Lonely Protector had entered inside the kill zone and was able to fire its high energy LASER into the HF-Botany. The LASER melted though the lightly armored science vessel and began a catastrophic failure in her fuel tanks. None of her life boats even had time to launch.

"So, what do you think happened back on Earth?" Petty Officer Celia Dunn slurped her protein paste, strapped to the mess hall chair on the Hades as she awaited an answer. She hated this moment, when the Battlecruiser would incrementaly slow down as it approched the end of its transfer, messing with the felt gravity of the ship.
"Probably nothing much. It's not like the transfer back to the Jovian system took that long." Petty Officer Jules Vance, sitting with her, answered absent-mindedly. The two of them spent much of their time together lately, due to their battle stations being near one another. Celia was one of the gunners for the Phaser Cannon, while Jules manned one of the Mag Cannons. While the Phaser Cannon was a prow-mounted weapon, it wasn't convenient to have the gunners so far out in front of the ship, and so both types of gunners were placed in a single space.
The Hades itself was coming back to Io Fortress after intercepting a couple Eternal-Storm class Destroyers hailing from the asteroid belt and which were inbound for the Jovian system.
"You think High Command was serious? About the whole Alien Administration thing?" Celia was clearly not about to drop the subject.
"Yeah, why? Last time I heard, Battlefleet Terra was doing a great job stopping the Aliens from landing on Earth, but it's not like they can stop the Mothership fleet. The army beat the aliens back a few times already, but if the aliens land again and start bombing our armies from orbit instead of letting their guys die unsupported, they'll eventually establish their beach head. We're gaining time, not stopping it." Jules remarked bitterly, resentment bubbling just under his calm exterior.
"Damn, someone is cranky. I thought I was the one who hated this part of the journey." Celia stopped for a moment, and then bent closer to him before adding, in a lower voice. "Is it about that thing you said the other day? The shagging?"
Communications Officer Ekaterina Kozlova, who was sitting with the two, and had been doing her best to remain forgotten by the pair, almost choked to death on her nutrient paste at Celia's words. Still, neither NCOs seemed to notice.
"Fuck it. Yeah, you know what? It IS weird! Right before the departure? Shagging. Mid-Transfer? Shagging? Right after we blew up those two Destroyers? Half the enlisted took five minutes off for some shagging while the rest salvaged what we could out of the enemy ships. It's weird, man. There's something in the walls, I swear." Jules blew off, his own stress still high from the battle.
Celia couldn't help to laugh at her companion's outburst, but opted to lay off the teasing for a bit. "It's not the walls, Jules, it's the stress. I had this friend in the entertainment industry a few years back. Everytime the production was getting rough, people let off some steam like that. It's natural. God, I wonder what happened to her. Poor girl was a pacifist, the Ukraine conflict happened while she was a kid and it really stayed with her. Last time I heard about her, she was making pro-Academy videos in Brazil or something..." Celia's voice trailed off. This subject did nothing for Jules' mood, nor hers. She stole a glance at the Frenchman in front of her. Unlike the rest of the crew, the man did not join Humanity First. Or at least, not at first. He used to be part of the Vercingetorix station, a Resistance Hab which defected to Humanity First some time ago. It had been surprising for him to be chosen for the crew of the Hades. Celia wanted to say that it was because he was an excellent shot, but Mag Gunners couldn't hit the broadside of a barn, most of the time. When Celia remembered how defensive Jules had been the last time the subject came up, she couldn't help but chuckle.
The mood was getting better for the pair, but Celia noticed Ekaterina was still stealing glances at Jules. She hated the guy, or at least found each and every one of his actions prickly. Due to the risk of him being a spy, she had to double check everything, each communication, each little thing he forgot somewhere, monitor his use of his private computer. It was a lot of ungrateful work being dropped on her plate, and it made her see everything he did as a possible security threat. Still, Eka and Celia had been friends for a while and so the unlikely trio had stuck together. Even though the had become a bit weird after the rate of alien attacks started intensifying. The three remained like that, in silence, for a bit.
Said silence was broken suddenly, as Ekaterina's radio came to life, panicking her, and leading to her fumbling with the radio for a bit before answering. The conversation was short, and once it was over, Ekaterina glanced at the crew inside the mess hall. By their expression, she knew they had heard too much for her to just brush the matter off. She might as well break the news to them now before it became an unchecked rumor.
"We received a transmission from Io Fortress. The two bases on Ganymede were attacked... and annihilated."

When the melatonin alarm rang it was as if the ship was saying what we all were thinking.
The engineer said that the ship's system clock had a glitch as he reset her speakers. Maybe she too was being run ragged like us, no longer knowing, or even caring if it was supposed to be day or night on our little blue ball of a home. Maybe she wanted rest.
For weeks we have hid our exhaustion from our fellow spacers. We said the pills worked. That we felt fine. We said we didn't mind not being allowed to turn off the bright blue lights that illuminated every bunk and every station. We agreed that we'd never miss that alarm, or how the gummies tasted. We said that not feeling hungry or tired was a pleasant change of pace. Unlike the melatonin gummies, we didn't need to be reminded to take this new regimen. The splitting headaches, chills and anxiety were enough of a signal to pop two or three more.
None of us dared to say anything that contradicted our facade of contentment. Complaining about what we wanted, or what we needed would have made our campaign feel even longer.
We felt that we were becoming more and more like the ship. More like a machine. We didn't act human anymore. We didn't complain. We didn't stop to rest. We no longer feared anything. We gave it our all to keep our vessel in the fight. We did it for ourselves. We did it for all humanity. We did it because we looked forward to a good night's sleep when humanity prevailed.

Since the test of the elite marines went so well, I would suggest to try and anticipate where the Victor-80 will refuel(or just beat them to the station), and then quickly take over the station before Victor-80 arrives. Since Victor-80 should have spent most of their remaining deltaV getting to the asteroid, they will need a _very_ long transfer window to the next asteroid station. Long enough that you might be able to assault that one as well, which would leave Victor-80 effectively stranded in the asteroid belt and just a drain on the alien's economy.

Well I'm not a native English but I hope this sounds good enough :
I still remember the day when the command warned us of the imminent approach of a multitude of alien flotillas. The serious looks, the clenched fists, the discreet tears at the back of the briefing room...
The HQ had promised us a reinforcement fleet which was to arrive a few months later but until then our only protection was our two BC "Hades" and "Scourge".
After observing the enemy's movements, their commanders came up with an idea: attack the fleets on the way before they had gathered, use the superior stamina of our ships to create local superiority and pick them off one by one , a good old Napoleonic classic. This would have allowed us to decrease the number of enemies and buy time for building defenses and receive the reinforcements from Earth.
Although this plan might have seemed ambitious, it was not foolish: we had spent a lot of time studying alien ships and were compensating for our technological inferiority by developing custom countermeasures.
A good example of this was the mobilization of the non-combat ships "Bathony" and "Auspost". Although they had no real firepower their PDs did wonders against the projectiles the aliens were relying on.
It was just as our Ganymede outposts began to be bombarded by the first arrivals that the Battlefleet Jupiter left the station.
At first everything was fine, the fleet came back unscathed with reports of several enemy flottilas destroyed and we only had to refuel before sending them back.
But the ease quickly disappeared when the new alien weapons appeared and the tragedy with them: Gunships equipped with a laser cannon were no real threat to our armored BCs, but the Bathony was instantly vaporized with her crew.
Then the appearance of plasma cannons nearly costed us the Hades: in addition to having damaged her armor they had destroyed her PD, making her vulnerable to projectiles fired by others. Despite this she managed to get back to the station where we repaired her with what we could.
We were all exhausted. The fighting crew, of course, which accumulated the raids sometimes for weeks before returning to refuel, and with a few rare hours of rest.
But also the staff of the station, who in addition to taking care of the fleet also had to build the new defense platforms ASAP and supplied all this with the mining operations on the moons of Jupiter which caused many incidents such as radiation poisoning.
But all this had ended up being worth it because on April 11, 2039 the reinforcements finally arrived...

There’s a ridiculously cool moment in the Honor Harrington series where civilian controllers send an entire battle fleet through a series of wormholes in less than a day in order to deal with an imminent battle (A comparable scenario might be the entire US Atlantic fleet transiting the Panama Canal as fast as possible). The Jovian reinforcements remind me of that.

Australia Post was no damn combat ship. Half her crew was civvies, the other half glorified security guards on a space taxi to destination Jovian Rock. Though I'll be damned we didn't all jump to the call when the Victors started burning to Jupiter.
We trained on an operational tempo so hard that it would make Special Forces sweat. We spent hundreds of hours on fire simulations for our phasers, on refresher training for our cannon, on engine tests and checks for our burners.
When it was time for our battle, we burned in so hot and bright we tripped a safety switch and ended up out of formation. Had to burn right back around. Botany got hit moments later and was blasted clean in half.
We burned hot and bright, firing our phasers and cannon continuously at the incoming enemy fire. We manuvered at gee's we didn't even know our engines could make. We took hits, we took casualties, we had good people die. In the end, we got the final blow, finishing off the last Victor that was limping away from our formation.
In the end, though, that's all we got to do in the Jovian War before our Terran reinforcements arrived. We took bad hits to our engines, and had to detach from formation to limp back to Io as the Battlecruisers burned to intercept another fleet. The comedown was depressing- we had four weeks to stoop in how much we all really lost as our comrades burned to fight on their own.
I'm now writing this after the First Fleet finished their rendezvous to Io. I do not know what will be the future use for our little colony ship, but I'm certain at this point we cannot lose.

Little did those brave crews know that their defensive battles would turn into one of the great asymmetric victories that humanity has had, i wrote a little blurb below. Trying to make it more personal. It could certainly be better fleshed out.
Captain Scott of the Hades was a man known as a strident student of history. He pored over old battlemaps in his quarters and was a particular fan of Stonewall Jackson's legendary campaigns in the American Civil war. He looked at the screens laid before him and formulated a plan.
In the morning he rose and floated to his control screen, saluted by the sailors around him. He braced against a bulkhead in the CIC, and the general alert sounded. He thought of the mission he had been given, the task impressed upon him. He took a deep breath and began.
"Comrades, we stand at a crossroads, support has been sent from earth, 5 of the finest battleships that Colonel Castillo could manage to scrounge, but this is space, and space is big. They are weeks away. In the coming days you will embark on one of the Greatest journeys mankind has ever imagined. A defeat in detail of an enemy we've known for only 15 short years"
No-one dared correct the Captain, all were resolute in their duty to save humanity, they had seen loved ones manipulated, strange creatures build awkward epitaphs to their dominance on their home and none could forget what the tabloid press called "The Rumble in the Jungle". It would almost be quaint, but all know what it means, all knew why these aliens were here. Some could barely remember a time when they weren't around, and their threat of dominance not ever-present.
"In these coming weeks we will campaign, and train, maintain and test. And when you see those purple bastards on the monitor, you will know what it means to face a true enemy. I won't lie, this will not be easy, we will be tired, we will hurt and be tested. But we will not fail, those dirty Ayys can go back to whatever wretched hole they came from. This solar system belongs to humanity, and Humanity First."
Several weeks later, while convalescing in Io orbit, Captain Scott pressed the button for the on-call nurse.
"Have we done it sailor, has the fleet arrived"
"Yes Captain, Admiral Maniapoto of the Melbourne requests an after action report, and will see you shortly"
Captain Scott closed his eyes, the reports would wait, right now, he needed rest.

    @PerunGamingAU
Loading 2717 tons of water, ~1600 pounds of volatiles (food for the crew, presumably), 3.3 tons of regular metal and 4.1 tons of noble metals in ~7 hours is totally doable with current ground-based pumping and loading technologies: the only trick they would need is to be able to produce that kind of speed in zero-G, although I would expect a specialized space dock/shipyard would be able to have the kind of facilities to make that happen.
Heck, the fact that it's *only* 2717 tons of water speaks a lot for the mass efficiencies of nuclear fusion.
    On a more fluff-related side:
I would like to imagine that each of these ships are still nominally controlled by the Earth-based nations, so EAUSS Аид (Hades) and USNASS Scourge sounds probably more appropriate for the two main warships of BF Jupiter.
Edit: At 47:15, don't you have a space dock in orbit around Mars? Wouldn't having TF ANZAC replenish at Mars be faster than taking it all the way back to Earth...?

    March 27th, 2039
Foxtrot was agitated throughout the Hydrogen exchange. Lima-Actual, yes, but her team as well. None of the usual Low Orbit drama gossip, and one of their techs nearly punched Tetsuo's teeth in when he joked about long hours. Asked Lima-Actual to reign in her boys and she nearly did the same to me. Here's the interesting bit - they seemed to be especially pissed about Navy being in LEO. Something about them not giving us all this fuel just for us to sip whisky in orbit. A little bit of HF Machismo, I'm sure, but something else, too. Think they want us up there with them.
Gives credence to those signatures we're seeing in the Jovian system. What's more, I'm pretty sure Victor scored something and shoved a bee in their collective bonnets. Recommend a gentle touch with Hanse for the next little while. Might be good to have fleet pluck the next Victor that comes in system... if we can beat the Sydney to it. Not just for PR, Fiona. Some of the chest-thumping got the blood up in my boys. Recommend we get some redundant personnel in in the next little while. I'm of the opinion we're going to need them.

We kept winning even when the xeno bastards threw plasma at one of our best, the Hades. My friend, a Eurasian cosmonaut I once knew dirtside from Mars, was only an airlock away from those men in the center of the Hades. He saw his friends covered in the blue plasma, and exposed to the vacuum of space, all that was left was sizzling goop burning holes into the hull.
I remember vividly the news of the arrival of the HF01, I was aboard that ship Hades assisting with rescue efforts. I saw my Eurasian friend. He could do nothing but shake his head and cry. Those bastard reptilian scoundrels give no mercy and they will receive none from us.

For all it's attention to detail, I think there are some glaring simplifications:
    - Fuel/ammo depots in space/ground stations. That would make space combat strategy more interesting (especially since you'd need resupply ships)
    - Auto-wreck gathering - a dedicated ship to analyze and gather wrecks (human and alien). A credible way to boost science gain also.

Those hopes were dashed when we began hearing from other HF operatives about them and my country was under there goverments control. We held out for as long as we could while begging for help but none came. South Africa was always a diveded nation on some level but some of us wanted to fight back. So we used some old guerilla tactics like we used against the Brits back 2 centuries ago. It worked for some time but those xenos dug deep. When moves were being made to join us back up with the UK as a new commonwealth we felt a bit hessitant but anything was better than being under the xeno foot. Audio recording of a crew member abourd the Hades:
"After our first engagement with the Hydra scum in march of '38 had gone so well the crew was jovial. We had gotten out of the engagement with nary a scratch on the paint. In a testament to our victory over the Hydra fleet someone (and I won't mention who *Jack*) fashioned an effigy of the Hades out of some spare pipe and a gray sock with the word HF-Hades written on the side in red paint. Crude. But effective. Everyone spent time tossing around the cabins handing it off to the next watch. It was a simple symbol of our odds. A rag-tag ship in an alien sea. However a few days ago we had a minor electrical fire on board I say minor as no one was hurt but it could have been way worse. The whole crew was distressed when we had seen the that effigy of the Hades had been burnt. I hear seamen are some of the most superstitious lads in the world but what of space sailors? I myself couldn't help but think of the burnt ship as the bolts of plasma banged agginst the hull of the HF-HADES making a whooshing sound that echoed up and down the Battle cruiser. Each time I thought "This is the one. This one will get us. I'll be sucked out into space and not even have time to scream" I am reliefed to hear that I'll be relieved soon. Im going to need some time to get over that. But I'll at least be able to keep HF-HADES mini with me. You know, for safe keeping..."

That's the problem the aliens have, aside from the gunships you've met, I've barely seen anything not fitting primarily missiles. I usually have 4 dedicated pd boats in my fleet which basically means I have barely taken any casualties in the whole Jovian campaign.
Although mine happens some years later in game time, so I have dreadnoughts in my fleet.
