@@Random_Roliii that's odd, you can't audition for high school region as a 7/8 grader, but you can use it to practice. but personally i'd work on 4 mallet because you have a lot coming your way in high school.
A couple small pieces of advice: don’t access a rolls/trill/ unless it’s marked, rolls and drills, and rolls/trills do not need to be super fast (most young percussionists try to play the fastest single stroke role they can, which is usually not smooth and causes overall tempo issues). I hope that helps, best of luck on your preparation!
@@rocinanteferox4267 Yes, I do that so people playing along with my video(s) have a perfect (or as close as possible) version to play with. Best of luck on your audition!
You’ll do great! Just take it one bar at a time, and like I recommend: take it at half the speed written (or slower) until you get the whole thing learned, and then start to slowly speeding it up 3-4 BPM at a time. Have fun, and do the best you can!
where can I get that purple shirt
Amazon!! :)
You need to become a pimp first
Learning this as a middle schooler to try out for high school region!
Funny thing is you can't because this is only for high schoolers and the etudes change every year, focus on the middle school etudes.
@@Xaniiz Really? that's weird my band director gave me the sheet music for it.
