Description
Based on the world behind League of Legends, Arcane dives into the delicate balance between the rich, utopian city of Piltover Crest icon.png Piltover and the seedy, oppressed underground of Zaun Crest icon.png Zaun. Known across Runeterra as the "city of progress," many of the most brilliant minds call these cities home. But the creation of hextech, a way for any person to control magical energy, threatens that balance. The story follows the origins of two iconic League champions-and the power that will tear them apart. Like the game on which it is based, Arcane is aimed at a "14+" audience and will deal with some more adult subject matter.

That was a really poor editing choice in that scene.
Two things we learned this year:
1. Tobias Fate is canon in the Pentakill universe.
2. Imagine Dragons is canon.

I think whats also really cool is how the scene changes to Marcus and it looks like "Enemy" is played not only as a backround music for us viewers but also in his place in a radio or something. The same thing happened in act 1 when in one scene with Vander in his bar we could hear "Playground" being played in a radio. Its like Arcane soundrack is not only made of songs that fit the scene but also songs that are popular in a world of Arcane itself. I think its a really cool detail.
This is called Diegetic music or source music. Is music in a drama (film or video game) that is part of the fictional setting and so, presumably, is heard by the characters. The term refers to diegesis, a style of storytelling.
I also like the fact that the reverb effect makes it seem like the song being played in the slums is so powerful that even the wealthier districts can hear it. Almost gives that effect of the slums being a problem that can't be ignored.

As soon as I heard the opening downbeat in this scene I began to lose my shit. I fully lost it once Imagine Dragons came on screen.

Honestly tho yeah. Like usually the trope is the friend doesn’t find out about their other friend being in some kinda trouble till like wayyyy later then it’s too late. Granted it progressed pretty bad for victor but jayce still went to him.
I actually really like this scene. They are setting up the bar, and switching between characters and the bar, building anticipation and the song has a different, but relevant, meaning for each character. And Vi's walk just from the way she is moving shows her pure rage, but in that bar they are just playing music or doing their thing unaware someone is coming wanting expressly to wreck the SHIT out of some people.

You know.. I never did listen to Imagine Dragons and I always skipped the intro, but this scene changed how I feel about the song and I came to respect Imagine Dragon for delivering an amazing song to an even more amazing series.

My favourite part of this scene was the camera just keeping focus on Vi's glare at 0:58 and you can palpably feel the seething rage in her eyes. The animators absolutely outdid themselves on the facial expressions, how they make an animated character seem so humanly emotive as if it was live action

I’m pretty meh about Imagine Dragons. Like they are decent, but not exactly playlist worthy in my opinion. Enemy though… Enemy is something special and is a really standout song from them in my opinion

I think one of the best things this does is set up what Zaun is like now. Playground set up Zaun in Act 1 and Enemy sets up Zaun in act 2. There very distinct, and this scene does a great job of showing that I feel
People think this is random, but EVERYONE who is a league fan loves and appreciates this shit. Totally worth it, Riot made the right decision to include this.

Just seeing Vi hunting Sevika in time with Enemy is really badass. This’ll sound dumb, but this scene made wish there’s an Arkham like game where you play as Vi, fighting through the streets of Zaun

How are people complaining about the fact the song doesn't make sense because Viktor is dying when the song LITERALLY ends when he's on the screen? The song was good for the surroundings that Vi was walking through to get to Sevika.

I love when Vi walks into the bar and sees the group of those boys in the back of the bar. then later, they are actually playing music at the bar. i think it’s cool how even though vi is at the bar they are also at the bar playing music to us and everyone at the bar! amazing work the imagine dragons!

I love how the artists are physically present next to the zaunites while in Piltover the song sounds like it’s being played on a radio.
To the undercity this song is a expression of the pain and outrage they have to live with everyday, while to the topsiders it would just be some passing entertainment.
