$81K for a pickup truck. Are they the same consumers who complain about gas prices? 🤷🏾‍♂️

Of course that’s why they have those bullshit v6 turbo engines.

No, people who pay $81k for a vehicle don’t care at all about gas prices lol, politicians made them go with the v6 turbo. The consumer of this truck doesn’t care at all

@@mustang9549 the fact that they’re offering rebates is a sign they do care - about their bottom line. Trucks are sitting on lots longer than they like.

2023 Ram 1500 Classic is now rated more reliable than Toyota Tundra by Consumer Reports, for the first time ever in history. This is due to Tundra's new 3.4L twin-turbo V6 with direct-injection. Ram 1500 only comes with 3.6L non-turbo V6 with fuel-injection only.

For bed access all trucks need to be doing what Chevy/GMC has been doing with the bumper steps. Very surprising none of the other trucks offer that other than the super duty

I just bought the 2024 Platinum Edition with the iforce hybrid driveline. My understanding was that the first generation 2023 had turbo issues so I feel comfortable with the new model. Coming from a 2014 1794 edition leaving it at the dealer with only 126k miles on it I’m just loving all the new features of the new Platinum Edition. After comparing the Platinum Edition with the Capstone Edition I personally don’t see another $10k for the heads up display and white interior trim since the Platinum Edition has everything else that the capstone has, at least in the one that I purchased. This being my sixth Tundra and being a Toyota/ Lexus family for over 25 years I have total faith in the brands dependability and performance, not to mention the residuals, IMHO, being superior to other brands. Sticker price for my 2014 1794 was $52k and 10 years later it still sells for around $28k and I feel the generation 3 will hold great residuals as well. For me it’s 👍👍 for Toyotas innovation, design and dependability.

The rear head room because of the sunroof is so bad for anyone 6’0” and over. Bad design. And the storage issues under the seat. Beautiful truck but still not as good as the Ram interior.

It’s a bit misleading. First the new Tundra is a close second just in its second year of production of the new gen 3 Tundra. CR is saying this is on perceived reliability for 2023. Since the Ram hasn’t changed a lot on the Ram for a long time CR is saying they should be reliable since it’s been around so many years. Btw I like Ram trucks and have owned 3 of them. Also for 2023 CR said overall #1 Lexus and #2 Toyota make the most reliable vehicles overall. Which is pretty much the norm for many years now

I'm glad they have this thing a facelift; they've always been good pickups, but helluva ugly, and all shortbeds. We had a 2018 and it was outstanding compared to the Ridgeline we traded it for... dumb, dumb, dumb.
Price is a problem. The whole shtick behind Japanese/Japanese-based makes was more bang for your buck with solid-state engineering. I understand they wanted a Denali competitor... but few people want a Toyota Denali, that's not their brand. Add all the dealership BS to the sticker... you're talking $90-100k, easy... toss this into the Lexus lineup or something.
All that needed to be done was a better looking body, longer bed, and updated infotainment... that's it.
Hybrid for performance? No one's going to believe that crap, turbo maybe, but hybrid? The first thing that comes to mind with 'hybrid' is Larry David in his Prius.
In the meantime, the F-series is going to continue to knock it out if the park. I'm not a Ford fanboy, it's just a realistically affordable, utilitarian truck... especially used.

The frame of this 3rd gen Tundra is very rigid and is over build/engineering. I was shock to discovered that the new Tundra frame is fully boxed and the tube size is same when compared to 2024 ford Super Duty F250 3/4 ton. With all that said, i would pick 2024 Ford Super Duty F250 6.8L V8 4x4 crew cab 6.5’ bed over this 3rd gen fancy looking thin metal sheet Tundra any day for easy maintenance and repair. Screw the toyota V6 turbo.

CR has the Tundra a close second to the old design Ram in 2023 and that’s only in its second year with the 3rd gen tundra. Already substantial ahead of ford and GM trucks in reliability and I’m guessing the Tundra will take the top spot for reliability once the new Ram redesign hits the market. Also CR has Lexus and Toyotas the top 2 most reliable vehicles to buy in 2023. So you tell yourself Toyotas are no longer reliable. Maybe not as much as they were but they’re still ahead of the competition.
