Fantastic finish in the final! So glad for Sail GP with final in San Francisco, especially after Larry Ellison snubbed SF following that epic America's Cup win
What an incredible season. So many teams improving and competing so hard every single race. THANKYOU @SailGP, the teams and especially to all of the hard working people in the background that have brought us such an amazing sport. So very excited for Season 4.
Tommy Slingsby and team pull off the three peat!! We’ll done guys!! Woot woot! 🎉🍾🍾🇦🇺⛵️ what a race, what a season - by far the most competitive yet. What a competition SailGP! Love it.
What a great final and kiwis getting great pressure on aussies. Down under sailing are best! Kiwis thogheter with aussies are unbeatable in AC if they getting a great boat. Also boatbuilders down are so great innovative.
Great Drama! Great Action! Hope they come back to SF. Unfortunately perfect weather was before and after their arrival. I think if they advertised a bit better at the local Yacht Clubs even more would attend. Although at The Richmond Yacht Club (shout out RYC) it was well known.
I didn't realize this is the end of the season. Your calendar and the points along the way need to be clearer in all the broadcasts. I love the boats and the competition! Though the fleet racing really is the star and the 3 boat finals always feel like a letdown to me; if you want to have 3 boat races they should be in some sort of heat system that builds up to the fleet later on, or just do all fleets please. These feel like some pretty easy fixes when you're getting so much of the big stuff right. I'm sure I'll be back in Season 4...hopefully seeing speed in knots 🤞
GIVE IT UP. He's got a second in race 3. He won the whole NZ tournament altogether. Got a fifth oveerall in Canada's first season. Compare him against Jimmy Spithill and he beat the NZ team (the second rated team this season) every race at this event. Who would you replace him with? You say it should be a Canadian. WHO? Good luck with someone of that caliber. The Canadian team is learning and doing very well. They finished just undeer the French and the Brits. Not a bad showing at all.
Weird audio track on the RUclips video streaming on the RUclips app on my TV for this that didn’t align with the visuals. This same video on my RUclips app on my iPad is fine and aligns with the audio track. I even exited and restarted the RUclips TV app but it was the same. On my TV, the audio track had all the prerecorded pre-race interviews that went on for about the usual 30 minutes or so and then they started talking about the Race 4 prestart and the weather. HOWEVER, the visual track didn’t have ANY of the pre-race interviews but instead had them crossing the Race 4 start line at 7:21 into the video. So, none of what I was hearing was what I was seeing. This SailGP technical issue ruined this season finale video for me.
So sad that the camera angles chance so often & so fast that the sailing strategies of the boats in the racing are lost in my opinion🥴❗ Kind of so much hype / drama and not enough chatter on strategies during the racing. Cameras are just waiting for crashes it seams?
Throughout this and certainly the previous season, GB have lost most of the races at the start, and then have to play catchup. Not a great system to win races.
Yeah, I’d say it’s the best team that works seamlessly together will get the best results. As we’ve seen, if the person at the helm makes a bad mistake it can lead to a loss very quickly. They get the accolades but also fired when they don’t do a good job. France, Spain, Japan etc
@@JamesWilson-ts5xk even then outside of the start it’s rarely the skipper that’s at fault. Bad tacks, falling off foils, pitchpoling, having foils pop out of the water, etc. Is all wrongly attributed to skippers by the commentary team for the sake of simplicity and narrative when most often it’s the flight controller and trimmer.
To be honest, feels a lot like aus has a golden ticket in these, the whole show was upping Ben and how he was so great, talking about how nzl was sandbagging making out that it’s a real race, then nah total dominance from aus. Love the sport but much like f1 it’s far too predictable doesn’t matter how poor start aus has to a regatta they will win.
SailGP should get more recognition, this is good stuff! Looking forward to the next one, and congrats to the winners.
I love this sport! What a great performance by AUS and all the nations that competed throughout the season. That final race was a nailbiter!
Fantastic SailGP Season 3, they somehow just keep getting better. Thank you!!!
Camera cuts away at the most important times missing a lot of action on the heli view. Amazing racing. Love it.
A great season and a great final event! Thank you, SailGP! We’ll see you in Chicago!

Crazy fun to watch here in San Francisco BAY !!!
Big Ben got hooked. Great season though. Looks like it will be 10 boats next season - but sadly no race in UK.
Very exciting final race! Congrats to the winners and also to the other teams that kept it combative.
Great Coverage, Congrats Aus
50:48 My plumber said he was sick, but I see he is watching the race from the shores.
Great Race..Congratulations Australia....Congratulations New Zealand ..as a Kiwi Im so proud of you boyz...

Time for USA to look at wholesale changes across the board I think. For such a hugely represented nation their season results should be top 4.
Great Drama! Great Action!
Hope they come back to SF.

Great sportsmen Great result .thanks for the coverage
Well done Aussies and New Zealand.

How do they paint the lines on the water like that?? Science is amazing!
Spray can do it

Robertson likes to sail the longest route and the idea of coming first is nothing but a dream! Get him a rocking chair and retire him!

Team USA needs a new Australian

Ainslee got totally bossed. Burling not quite good enough. Slingsby is the best of the best.
Can you at least write great Britain on the scoreboard? These are meant to be national franchises but the British boat is named after another country.
The good news is, we fans don’t have to say ANY sponsor names- we can just call ‘em GBR!
Really enjoyed it except for the constant chatter.
Why was spittal not black flagged for that ? Oh it’s USA and not Spain or the Swiss

The 3 boat finals are always anti-climatic. The fleet racing is 10x better.
All we need are the Grid Girls and you will have the F1 followers following too.... Just saying!

Fricking US Captain. Biggest mistake to keep him the whole year
It’s not all Jimmy’s fault. It’s the team. They’ll get there next year.
Skippers are way overrated in sailGP the flight controller and trimmer are who really win these events.

Predicted Ainslie's start before it happened.. WHY??? 🤡💩
