Thank you for sharing your fun day out.
My mother bought that same book and now I have it.
Hi I am happy to hear you have the same book. Thank you so much for watching❤️Grandma👩🏻
Grandma that was so nice to see I enjoyed that. Glad you and Grandpa had fun. And that pudding I will make soon with fresh corn. 🌽🥣💟
Hope you enjoy and thank you for watching❤️Grandma👩🏻
Taste good Ma! Thanks!
Glad you liked it❤️Grandma👩🏻
Thanks for taking us out for the day. That was fun. Corn pudding looks delicious. This is the time of year for you to get good corn. If I was going to add anything to it ,it would be green chilies. Thanks Grandma, Grandpa, and your cameraman Daughter!❤❤❤❤
Hi Marty Rose we are glad we could take you along with us. The weather was perfect nice and sunny. We have local grown corn so I will be making the corn pudding again. Have a nice Labor Day❤️Grandma👩🏻& Grandpa👨🍳
I'm pleased to see you're warm to the native peoples culture. American history goes back way longer then when the first settlers arrived. Interesting recipe, i like Grandpa's idea of adding nutmeg.
We agree! Thank you so much for watching and have a great day.❤️Grandma👩🏻& Grandpa👨🍳
No remotely intelligent person thinks American history started with the settlers.
Thank you very much for bringing us along with you to the pow wow. I've always loved the Native American people. Corn wasn't native here so we never had cornbread as a staple. I've only had cornbread a few times, one was filled with corn kernels and nice and sweet. Hope you and grandpa are well
Glad you enjoyed it. It is a great event that they have every year. It was a perfect day to be outside. Take Care!❤️Grandma👩🏻& Grandpa👨🍳
My new favorite channel.
You’re a very young grandma & grandpa- but I guess you’re around the same age as my Italian grandma from New York was. She’s been gone almost 30 years and you remind me of her 🥰. She was also a great cook & would take over the house when she’d make her annual visit: I just remember giant ravioli drying in the kitchen & her with a cup of coffee & a cigarette guarding the turkey while it cooked on thanksgiving morning.
Hi enjoyed hearing about your Grandma. Thank you so much for watching❤️Grandma👩🏻
Thank you for a recipe that does NOT have cheese :) Glad you enjoyed yourselves !
Hope you enjoy❤️Grandma👩🏻
Thank you so much for sharing this event! I enjoyed it very much.😊❤
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you so much for watching❤️Grandma👩🏻
I've always enjoyed going to Pow Wow's and seeing the dances and drummers. We have several tribes here in MN. I haven't seen this recipe before so thanks for sharing.
Our pleasure and thank you so much for watching❤️Grandma👩🏻
Looks lovely! Here in western Canada, we have many oportunities to enjoy Indigenous culture and food. I used to make fry bread about once a month for my kids when they were home. We put butter, sugar and cinnamon on it. The corn pudding looks delicious!
Hi thank you for sharing that you made the fry bread about once a month. It must be delicious with butter, sugar and cinnamon on it. We had the leftover corn pudding as a side dish with dinner. It was so good. Thank you so much for watching❤️Grandma👩🏻
I've never been to a pow wow but like to watch them online. I have Cherokee Indian in my blood on my Mother's side. I love listening to their music too. Looks like a nice event.
It was a very nice day out. I also enjoy their music.❤️Grandma👩🏻
I love how you and grandpa enjoy going to festivals and visiting historic places. You two are so sweet together. Im going to try the corn pudding for Thanksgiving using frozen corn.
Thank you for your kind words. The corn pudding is perfect to make for Thanksgiving. We wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving👩🏻Grandma👩🏻& Grandpa🎃
This is a fantastic outing Grandma and Grandpa. I love to go to things like this. I would have really went straight for the wood carvings, that sea turtle had my name on it! As well as the baskets for purchase. And then I would have loved to have sampled that array of food offerings. that corn pudding is really different and I bet would be a nice side dish for Thanksgiving for sure. The corn was so very sweet this year and I made corn chowder twice and I cut off two dozen corn for the freezer. Looks like you have a great Labor Day weekend and I am happy for you both. God Bless! ….Brian
Hi Brian glad you liked this outing. The sea turtle wood carving was amazing plus some of the other items that they were selling. We only purchased a few items as it would have been a lot to carry around. You definitely would have enjoyed all the food. When we left we ended up walking to the car because the shuttle carts were full. We were happy we did not have many items to carry. We had the rest of the corn pudding as a side dish today with dinner and it was delicious. It would be great to make for Thanksgiving. Have a good week and take care❤️Grandma👩🏻& Grandpa👨🍳
I loved that pow wow footage! Thanks for sharing the recipe from the cookbook. I love how it uses fresh corn, and not canned corn. 💛
Our pleasure! Thank you for watching❤️Grandma👩🏻

Hi Diane Everyone who was selling had so many lovely items. It was a very enjoyable day and the weather was nice and sunny.
I definitely will be making the corn pudding again. Have a nice Labor Day❤️Grandma👩🏻Grandpa👨🍳and the kitty’s 🐈🐈⬛
Wow, Grandma and Grandpa Feral and Lady Feral, thank y'all so much for shining a light and sharing this. Our Native communities and ancestors bring so much to the table. I hope for better ties, better sharing. we are all Americans.
When I was still in high school, my parents and I were on summer vacation to see relatives, and one trip was in or near Cherokee, NC. (It was starting to be commercialized even then.) My parents bought me a really great turquoise ring, greenish with flecks of brown and gold, rounded but roughly triangular. Sometime before moving to my apt. several years ago, I lost the ring somehow, and never found it again. I still miss it. It was gorgeous and had great sentimental value after all those years. It was not made by Cherokee, but by another Native American nation's craftsman or woman.
Hi Our pleasure! Thank you so much for watching❤️Grandma👩🏻Grandpa👨🍳& Lucky👱🏻♀️
Wow you must be heartbroken to have lost the ring your parents bought you when you were in high school. At the Powwow they had many turquoise rings for sale. It can never be replaced but they might have sold something very similar. Have a nice Labor Day❤️Grandma👩🏻
wonderful to see!!
Thanks for visiting❤️Grandma👩🏻& Grandpa👨🍳
@@GrandmaFeral I have actually met the gentleman with the grey/white mohawk hairdo and black shirt with floral designs. He is a major figure nationally in Indian country.
I really enjoy watching you two attend events and places in your community! It’s fun to see what types of things go on in Long Island. I am also excited about trying the corn pudding recipe - it looked delicious! Thank you for sharing this with us.
Hi Glad you enjoyed it! We still have local corn in the stores so I will be making the corn pudding again. Thank you so much for watching.❤️Grandma👩🏻& Grandpa👨🍳
Thanks so much for sharing this with us. I wasn't aware that Tacos are Indigenous in origin, it would appear that Indigenous cooking had a very strong influence on Mexican cuisine. I hope you and Grandpa have been enjoying the Labor Day weekend.
Yes, we learned that most popular foods are based on indigenous cooking. Remember that the early settlers learned how to survive by eating, cooking, growing, hunting, etc. what they were taught from the indigenous people.
Mexicans are native Americans
Mexicans are not Native Americans. Mexico was a Spanish colony in the 1500s. It was settled by explorers from Spain. The Aztec people are the Native Americans from the area of land that we now call Mexico. That was explained to us by Aztec people at the Pow Wow. They are the indigenous culture in Mexico.
Great Video!
Glad you enjoyed it.❤️Grandma👩🏻
Thanks for sharing this amazing event! Indian fry bread is so delicious! Now I want to try samp and corn pudding! I enjoy your videos very much.

Hi I hope you enjoy the corn pudding❤️Grandma👩🏻
Hi Grandma and Grandpa,
I really enjoyed this.
I too don’t cook with salt or jump on the cheese bandwagon. I love food in its natural state.
Looking forward emotionally the next episode ❤
Hi we are so happy that we could take you along with us. We are delighted to hear that you love food in its natural state. Thank you so much for watching.❤️Grandma👩🏻& Grandpa👨🍳
Nice to see RI ‘s Sly Fox Den there ❤
The best! ❤️Grandma👩🏻
That corn pudding looks good. Just purchased the cookbook through the link you provided. Got the last one. Will probably cut the recipe in half for just hubby and I. I think using 2 whole eggs might make it less runny. Maybe the next time you make it, try using 4 eggs instead of 3. Or add a spoonful of cornmeal. I usually make the jiffy mix version of corn pudding for hubby and I. I bake half for Thanksgiving and freeze the other half to bake later. Usually Christmas.
We here in the PNW have a large native American population and have a few pow wows each year.
Hi Grandpa and I enjoyed the corn pudding and we will finish the rest off tomorrow having it as a side dish for dinner. The liquid came from the fresh corn as I was taking it off the cob. Next time I make it I will drain the liquid from the corn. I am glad to hear you were able to purchase the cookbook. Thank you so much for watching❤️Grandma👩🏻
I'm from the PNW, too, and my favorite native delicacy there is the alder-smoked salmon.
This was my Dad's favorite! They called it "Squaw Corn" Mom added crushed saltines, and baked it in that same Corningware casserole you have😂❤
Hi thank you for sharing that it was your Dad’s favorite and your Mom added crushed saltines.❤️Grandma👩🏻
My Grandma had that same Corningware dish too! Maybe it is required equipment for Grandmas 😊
Very nice to see the Pow Wow! The corn pudding looks simple to do and sounds good. Thanks
Our pleasure! Thank you so much for watching❤️Grandma👩🏻
I will definitely go next year!
Glad to hear you will be going next year. Thank you so much for watching❤️Grandma👩🏻
