Some items went up double and more during COVID.
Due to production and supply chain issues. Which would've returned to pre CCPflu levels if not for the billions of dollars the government threw into the economy. Too much money chasing too few things.

Grocery companies operate on margins of around 3%. Force them to lower prices by 4% and they go out of business. The biggest price gouger is the government. Pay a lot in taxes for govt services. Get very few services.
