3 days to go before flying to Tokyo. This Japanese from zero series has helped me tremendously, and when I get back, I will buy the shit out of your books and study till my eyes drop. For the first time ever I feel like I have conquered a very tough challenge, which is learning Japanese - yet I have so much to go still, but I enjoy every minute of it ^^
Hello Georges, i am Joël and i am french. Georges, i want to say you that you are very important to me. I could not learn japanese without you, because you are some kind of....magic. Thank you Georges, i hope that you will continue because learn japanese with you is one of the most enjoyable thing on Earth :)
Learn Japanese From Zero! I think your books are more popular in European countries than you know, haha. I'm from Belgium and we together with The Netherlands have a huge online store (like amazon), the top 5 best sold items in the Japanese language category are all books from JFZ :D
I started my Japanese journey back at the beginning of the pandemic and gave up. i stopped learning as i kept becoming overwhelmed and sad. id do one lesson then forget basics because of the time gap i left it... like i know all jlpt n5 and 4 kanji but i kept forgetting basics like yon and shi and when to use them when i never did before. very disheartening but I'm slowly getting back into learning again. I've put in almost 3 years off and on intensely so i might as well become fluent and not give up. I bought ur website subscription to support you and to motivate me, i keep forgetting how far ive come in my japanese journey! i have much to go but your lessons and websites are amazing, they honestly motivate me and keep me going everytime i dont feel like it because ur not just teaching, you're engaging and talking to us. i just need my adhd brain to remember and not be scared of failing
In my language, diacritic is a very common word, but it's only because we use diacritic marks on a daily basis and we need this word to distinguish between using them (official language) and not (FB messanger, quick writing etc).
Yikes.. First example, america and japan is different, I was sounding out the sentence and I was accidentally saying "Mei-Guo".. chinese for america. instead of americana-go
Thank you so much for doing this. I bought the books and use your videos and am learning and able to apply what I know to other situations. It is hugely helpful. ❤️
Has this book been revised yet because if so mine definitely does not have a revision number and it still says YesJapan.com at the top with quite a bit of spelling errors.
I was wondering why I didn't remember "revised" part and the word "Aji" in the livestream... turns out it was the music. Fortunately, the music is not recorded in this video or else you would have to remake it haha.
This is three years late and you might not even be learning Japanese anymore but in this sentence あじ is the topic of the sentence not the object. We can’t use を since it’s the object marker
@@dragonman1495 Looking back I understand this. And speaking of my Japanese I'm not at fluent level but I have gone through the 5 books in JFZ. I haven't practiced as much since I've also wanted in person interaction with Japanese people and I'm back in school right now, but in short I have made lots of progress since I made this comment. Thank you. Oh and yeah I should have said を rather than お.
Japanese don't say これたち and これら is used mostly in English classes to check their student can distinguish these form this. so これらはちがいますか sounds direct translation from English.
- Floppy - Well, if someone told you, "it's different/wrong," and you wanted to tell them it wasn't, I'd assume you wouldn't tell them, "it's different/wrong," and would say, "it's not different/wrong." So yeah, you'd use 違わない
Just as your books, this clip also needs revision. You make so many irrelevant (and often inappropriate) remarks. Who cares about your fascination for girls ten years ago, or about the song you sang about it. Display your experience and sense of humour on another channel. As a teacher you should be more focused and to the point. The whole content of this video could have easily be compressed to 8 minutes.
Power up your Japanese on FromZero.com (lessons, quizzes, games, ask-a-teacher)

How's your Japanese now, since it's been 5 years already?

Learning language is truly an enjoyable experience despite the minor setbacks that sometimes pop up!
Thanks! Glad to get some love from France. Maybe I should visit France again when I go to the UK in February.
Great! Then let me know if you come in south, i'll be so glad to welcome you and maybe make you discover Marseille!

ジョージさん、ありがとうございます。
I skipped most lessons though I want to return and binge watch all. Still I clapped like an idiot at myself for getting amari chigaimasen right 🙏🏻
Just heard that song on soundcloud... buahahaha!
OMG PLEASE MAKE A MUSIC VIDEO FOR THAT SONG .. but also your other soundcloud songs, real good stuff :)
The ending comes and the musics starts and I was like, "Huh, new ourtro music, this could be cool" .........
BAHAHAHA I should request that song at school when my teacher plays music😁😂 (that is unless of course you don't want me to) LOL.
I am so proud I got the あまりちがいません.
In my language, diacritic is a very common word, but it's only because we use diacritic marks on a daily basis and we need this word to distinguish between using them (official language) and not (FB messanger, quick writing etc).

dude, these lessons are fantastic. keep up the good work. bosh.
Best channel to learn Japanese.
I was a bit down that i didn't get the last sentence right but that song cheered me right up lol.
Thank you so much for doing this. I bought the books and use your videos and am learning and able to apply what I know to other situations. It is hugely helpful. ❤️
How do i make it into "in that regard"?
"A and B are the same/different in that regard"
Not sure what Regard in Japanese means but jisho.org has the translation. If it ain't a verb and you say Chigaimasu, regard would go before the topic.
15:06 This song needs to be in an anime!
凄く滑稽だよ!
that song made me smile so hard thank u
That song is literally simultaneously hilarious and catchy
ジョージさん、どうもありがとうございました!
Has this book been revised yet because if so mine definitely does not have a revision number and it still says YesJapan.com at the top with quite a bit of spelling errors.
Could you use なんと instead of どう in the sentence 味波動違いますか?
You said my name right there, senpai!
Hahaha, much love!
I was wondering why I didn't remember "revised" part and the word "Aji" in the livestream... turns out it was the music. Fortunately, the music is not recorded in this video or else you would have to remake it haha.
for the これとこれは違いますか example, why wouldn't you use こっち if there's two things? Is it just because これとこれは is a saying?
The song is stuck in my brain now! Heeelp! 😂😂😂
top 10 rap icons
That song is something else...
thumbs up for your song
That fade away into the song tho! Nice.
Is "あまりちがいません" double negative?
For the example at 12:07 am I also able to say "いいえ, あじおちがいます" where は is just replaced with お?
This is three years late and you might not even be learning Japanese anymore but in this sentence あじ is the topic of the sentence not the object. We can’t use を since it’s the object marker

10:00 Would これら or これたち also work here? Or would you certainly want the と particle in there?
Japanese don't say これたち and これら is used mostly in English classes to check their student can distinguish these form this.
so これらはちがいますか sounds direct translation from English.
「これらは違うものですか?」なら意味は通じるけど、「これらは違いますか?」はなにを聞かれたのか判らないよ。コンテキストが無いと一つの物に対して違うかどうか聞かれたように感じる。指差しすれば複数のものを指してる事が判るけど。コンテキスト無しに「これら」と聞くと複数を束ねた単数として感じます。
I was listening to this on a bus. Crazy he started talking about how he say things on a bus
shit... that was so creepy, George, in the end!!! LOL
OMG your song is the best lol
Could you also say: どうやって違いますか?
Mark Patena yet but you're asking specifically 'why'
You probably already know this
my response to the last line of the of the song, 私も
Love the ending 😂❤
Why is と after [B]? Can someone answer that for me
Why the song at the end though? Hahahaha.
Well, that song did STICK to my head for one whole hour. Hahaha.
my book three is 2nd edition 2008 my book 4 is 1st edition 2013 and my book 5 is 1st edition 2019

Lolitacon I know... But when I wrote the comment I didn't.
Bogdan Skout I had a feeling you'd reply with that lol
I'm starting from the Middle.
To the people who said とても違いません.. Hopefully we are not wrong..
bruh that song was amazing
I think if someone says diacritic whatever that is, you have to suplex them.
Lol there is a ghost messing with the order of his slide animations in ALL of his videos
that's george itself
damn its getting harder for me. i keep on forgetting the things i learned for the past few days.
Would どちも同じです。 work to answer "Which is a better pet, dog or cat?"
JAAAAPAAANEEESSSSEEEE GIIIIIIIRRRRRRLLLLLLLSSSSSS!!!!!!😂❤
Since 違う is a very common phrase, if someone told you that something is 違う, would you react by saying it's 違ない おr just say 違う again? lol
- Floppy - Well, if someone told you, "it's different/wrong," and you wanted to tell them it wasn't, I'd assume you wouldn't tell them, "it's different/wrong," and would say, "it's not different/wrong." So yeah, you'd use 違わない

That song is so cheesy🤣🤣🤣

Stfu men can like ladies, ladies are lesser being than men so it's okay for them to like girls 😊
Man your song is awful. My ears were bleeding. Great lesson as always though.
LOL. Glad you at least listened. More horrible songs to come.
