I was stationed at DM, AFB in Summer 1966. Experienced the most awesome thunderstorms there. Stronger and more abrupt than those I have seen anywhere else, except off the coast of Vietnam.
Thanks for posting this. That was quite a deluge, but this storm would not be considered severe. To be classified as severe you need winds in excess of 58mph and/or hail. From what I can tell this storm had neither.
@@carclimate honestly, i can’t do the wind, it’s scary lol,, but yes!! i really do hope we get another storm that’s a big rain producer! it was pretty relaxing that day
@@miinrla I didn't like the powerful wind, so i was basically inside for this storm except going out to check out to see if my phone was ok. It had a bunch of water on it and cleaned it with my shirt. But other then that. It was good to go!!

Im actually from germany and i was in Phoenix for vacation when this storm happened. Deffinetly the strongest storm ive been in.

thought i saw some green hue to the sky! this storm was insane, brought some damage but also a lot of much needed rain
Yeah, we didn't have damage but a bit of flooding. Hopefully we get another good storm like that.
