Thanks for your Vid. 4:43 you were in Drumcondra, first urban village after leaving the motorway. 5:07 Drumcondra train station and you pass under the bridge for the train. 5:26 Whitworth Road, passing over sunken train line and parallel canal. If you had looked the other way you would have seen Croke Park. You then turn left off Drumcondra Road and at 5:58 you are entering the northern Georgian Quarter, centred on Mountjoy Square. 6:24 you pass Findlater's Church at the top of Parnell Square At. 6:30 what you see as a park, is the National Garden of Renembrance a tribute to fallen Irish heros, where the late Queen Elizabeth laid a wreath during her visit to Ireland in 2012. The garden is at the rear of the Rotunda Hospital, from 6:35 one of the earliest maternity hospitals founded in 1745. At 6:42 you pass the Gate theatre and Amabasador Cinema, both originally built as part of entertainment rooms at the entrance to a pleasure garden all to raise funds for the hospital, which you can see in the background at 6:54, and again at 6:57 after you pass the Parnell Monument. You are now in O'Connell Street. 8:41 crossing the river Liffey on O'Connell Bridge. Hope you enjoy your stay.

I have been to the fortune terrace buffet, it’s good with nice views. The Temple bar area is popular, but in my opinion not so nice in the daytime and that whole area down by the river has lots of graffiti and even open drug use, beggars etc that is very very unusual in Ireland. I hope I don’t, get too much hate for saying this, but get out of Dublin for a much much nicer experience and you really don’t need to go far. Generally the people are great wherever you are, but again don’t hate me for saying but as a visitor you will find people generally much more friendly outside of Dublin. This is all just my opinion based on the 7 years I have lived here and travelled extensively. I typically do not like big cities anyway, to be fair Dublin is cleaner and safer than most capitol cities.

Lovely video. I agree with you about the e-gates at passport control - they're ok until they don't work! The Aircoach is a very comfortable bus. The Dublin Express service is also very good. I hope you enjoyed your time in Dublin. You got us on a very sunny day! I understand if you're feeling a holiday vibe - Dublin is a very popular tourist destination. I have eaten at the Fortune Chinese buffet once - it's ok for a quick meal, but I didn't find it very relaxing. I think people just go in, eat and go. Temple Bar is ok, very touristy, but there are some nice restaurants there. I would recommend anyone visiting Dublin to spend some time at one of the nice seaside suburbs - Howth or Dún Laoghaire, or go a little further to Bray or Greystones - all served by the DART train routes from Connolly Station. The National Botanic Gardens is a good place to spend a day, too.

The air coach service is brilliant as there is a service to Cork every hour 24 hours of the day from 28 euros return ( online booking) Takes 3.5 hours, except for flying to Cork from Dublin, you can’t get a faster service than this. There’s a coach goes to Galway as well and to Belfast. Not sure of the timetable for those destinations. I would be lost without this service.
