I far prefer the 'Doktor Who' look of the original Synare drumpad on the left, although it would be hard to get one in a good used condition after 40 years.
It sounds the part but there is something particularly appealing about the look of the original one for me that is the reason I even noticed this thing that yours certainly doesn't have and for that reason I probably would have obliviously skipped past it.
