People forget that he scored in the final in 2020. As a united fan i can honestly say Luke has always been a big game player strong mentally and will offer alot in pressured situtations. I think its because he plays alot of poker that mental aspect of it during 1v1s is so crucial hes going to do well for the remaining games.
We’ve been linked with chillwell 😂 Between him, Luke and malacia we may get through a single season without having to play right backs (that’s right, plural) at left back.
Luke Shaw starting would blow my mind, he's miles better than anyone we have that could play LB but only being fully fit during the tournament. I know once he starts England will play better.
Anybody that can come back from a broken leg and stay playing for years afterwards. this man deserves his chance even if it was a bad decision from Gareth
@JohnSander-dg1rb what you on about the man had his leg snapped in a game years ago.. to carry on playing at his level and make it to the national team can't of been easy wtf you on about I'm just stating something that I think needs to be remembered
@JohnSander-dg1rb I totes understand that you’d have been a better manager of the English football team than Gareth Southgate ! It’s just such a shame that they didn’t take your CV seriously and invite you for that job !? Not even an interview ?? Ffs
Best left back in the world is abit far there are plenty better than him that actually stay fit. He's massively valuable to England as they aren't blessed with great lbs and trippier has been dreadful playing there but if you consider all nations and lbs he's no way the best in the world.
@@SN-ig2ml I mean both Mourinho and Ten Hag have called him the best lb in the world. When he’s in form and fully fit, there isn’t a more well rounded LB in the world.
great job luke shaw , took all questions on very well and came across quietly confident , so he has to start, he is not the only recognised left back, but he is englands best and when on form the tournament's best , if he has a good game IF he starts tonight you all be in ore , and calling him shawberto carlos ;p
Of course players love Southgate! It’s boy scouts, getting together, having fun, singing Kumbaya around the fire with Ed Sheeran… It’s not about hard work and bollocking. No pressure of the season. It’s just fun and interviews. Who wouldn’t love that
And now we are rumoured to want to sign Chilwell, good player, but an even more dodgy injury record than Shaw and Malacia - and we let Alvaro Fernandez and Reguilon go....
We are looking at a left Centerback that can cover as leftback. We missed on caliafiori. So we are looking David jancko, jorrel Hato, Hincapie and even brandwaithe.
Hope he plays. He will change our style moving forward and brjng balance and make us a threat down the left. We just need gareth to get palmer into the starting lineup and also get gordon in ahead of eze because he is a far better player. I also think england might be good moving to two up top. I think rice and bellingham can play in a two. Maybe you sacrifice foden and get Gordon and palmer or saka on wingers and play kane and toney or watkins. I think that will be a good way to start or move to later in the game if we are still unable to create chances. It will also help kane a lot becase he looks lost without wingera and other runners who can create space and link up with him. Right now we look solid and hard to beat which is good but we are not creative at all.
You get credit for winning trophies, so yes, Southgate has gotten the exact right amount of credit as a manager corresponding to the number of trophies he has won, 0
Its a very low bar to say Southgate has done incredibly well by taking England to semi finals and finals. Firstly, England has won nothing since 1966 at " HOME ", while smaller countries like Spain, Portugal, Holland, Greece have and Italy, France and Germany have won multiples in Europe Championship and World Cup. England, still zero but celebrated as favourites each tournaments. Its not reality, Luke.

@@martinlewis967 Maybe because hes tired?? also doing a conference you have to choose your words carefully otherwise your ridiculed in the papers. Listen the first person asking the question. He sounded exactly like what you're talking about.
Nothing you say will dispel what we see . Reactive slow late substitutions.Plsying with a truly lopsided poor shape and pattern until the last game. Playing Foden out of position . Awful boring uninspiring football. Yes we’ve got closer than ever before I’ve been waiting 50 years. He’s given us hope that we might win something but it’s got to be entertaining to watch more often than not. I watch football for enjoyment not depression 😂😂
Give over man , thats a load of bull! I'd of rather him stay back in Manchester tbh and make sure he's recovered , but I definitely don't think he's intentionally been injured for us and plays for England. As long as he's don't get injured again for England then it's gunna help him get fit for start of the new season
If he gets injured again, then this argument holds some weight. If he stays fit, it’s redundant. As mentioned above - time and rehab are the obvious answers.
That’s how every player the camp will allow in front of cameras is required to answer. Otherwise you won’t hear them… this shouldn’t surprise you at this point.

Hang on: Luke Shaw is left-sided but he throws darts with his right hand?
The balance of the team on the left is non existent. Luke is the key piece to making that team tick, regardless of Southgates tactics.
I see him as a manager of some teams
Luke Shaw!!!!!!!!

Luke pulling his pants down again! He loves a good race bow!

Our midfield should be Maino Rice and Bellingham. Play palmer at the right, he has pace than Foden.

Please not trippier again
I just pity United if they still rely on this guy its better for them to sign another player in that positions
