About The Nanny:
Fran Drescher stars as Fran Fine, a street-smart young woman with a face out of Vogue and a voice out of Queens who stumbles onto the opportunity to become nanny to the children of a wealthy widower, Maxwell Sheffield. The flashback scene was just absolutely hilarious. Not to mention that I learned that Sylvia invented frozen yogurt and Fran could have dated Steven Spielberg. Plus Niles looked like a Beatle and CC looked a bit like Sandra Bullock 😂😂😂
Maxwell was rocking the Burt Reynolds look
That scene made no sense whatsoever. Spielberg was already famous by the time The Blue Lagoon came out, thanks to Jaws, and Frozen Yogurt had been out for years. The only thing that they managed to get right was the Cats reference. If they are going to do flashbacks that include famous people and films then at least get things right.
@@rosycandyhaven You reminded the teacher of the homework, right? :D
@@rosycandyhaven do you know this show came before the Internet? I mean few people could recall those facts in the mid 90s
@@azaelcp exactly. also we never knew fran’s real age so we also don’t really know when the flashback is taking place
0:55 Max: "Everytime I ask you to do something, you always manage to screw it all up!"
Fran: "And yet, you continue to ask me!"😂😂
Fran is digging herself deeper every second 🤣🤣🤣
“Fran you hated the Kibbutz…”
“Oh that was where I lost my- HAT…”
Bwahahaha😝😆😂🤣
'You must have been very attached to that hat."
"Darling, I'm your mother. I read your diary..."
Classic Sylvia
The audience's reaction is the best 😂
It is. It's because this show was genuinely funny and still is.
Something we don’t get these days.
The comedy in this show NEVER gets old - nor does it ever lose it's charm and warmth and fun. I've watched it end to end many times and enjoy every episode over and over. Thanks to everyone involved with this treasure trove of laughter, smiles, happiness and love. Not exaggerating by the way.
This and fresh prince are the funniest shows from the 90s. No question
The Nanny yeah!
Fran with the Rick James braids in the flashback scene 😂🤣😂🤣😂 lmfaooo
I have to say, everybody looked absolutely stunning in that episode. The fashion, styling and just their overlook look looked good. Beautiful, funny people. Wish we could all stay young forever.
yass🤠
Steven and cats?!
Maxwell and fren are kicking themselves now 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
It's kind of a running joke that Max passed on Cats and that was a mistake, however besides that one song Memory I don't think it's a good musical.
@sarahberkner about running joke I know
I got The Nanny Complete series on DVD for Christmas an hour ago. I’m going to watch the full episode tonight.
While the rest of us wait for the next RUclips upload. Lucky you!
@@mpd8633 you know you can get the whole series at Walmart for $39.96? You’d have a remote with a pause button, which in my house we call that the “gotta pee” button and you can always rewind or fast forward. Having your own series is just as sweet as it can be.
You know, the complete series is streaming on HBO.
Hey me too!
Luv Fran’s braids and flat abs. The costumes are great in this episode!
“Fran, you better get this kibbutz thing out of your head and start thinking about your future now, or you are gonna wind up like your cousin, Myra, over 30 and still single.”
🤣🤣🤣
and yet you continue to ask me!
im howling 😂
CC Babcock as a brunette, hahahaha. Mistery resolved: she's a fake blonde.
Magari si tingeva di castano 😁
That is why Niles called her a brunette in one of their banters
That was never a secret.
Sylvia either
@@azaelcp Sylvia is a blond, she says so in the flashback when Fran and Nadine are still kids.

This is one of the best series ever 😂 Thank you Fran Drescher
The flashbacks are always so funny 🤣
I love that grandma Yetta isn't senile yet here.
Nobody knows if she's senile or just putting on an act
okay okay but sylvia and frans outfits in the flashback are FIRE. like, frans especially is straight up back in fashion rn, it looks so good
70's Fran vs. 90's Fran. Can't decide which one's groovier?
80's Fran.*
Fran’s and Sylvia’s old hairstyle 😄🤣😂🤣🤣🤣
Maggie really hung Fran out to dry before her father!
They left out the kibbutz part where Fran meets her old boyfriend and Maggie meets his son. Omg...funny

And then the son offers to (literally) take Maggie's hat and Fran goes "Oh NO YA DON'T!!!!" 🤣🤣
@@stevarino1989 that hat thing had me .wetting my pants. Then they had to put in this woman laugher and that took it over the top
"Uncle Jack's building is going condom." 😂🤣
what does it mean?
Maggie is a beauty and she stole the show with her act.
Maxwell's rocking the Burt Reynolds' look
Mr.Sheffield was a knockout in the 70th
According to Frank, early 80s *wink
I love how they’re talking about Blue Lagoon from 1980 and then talking about Steven Spielberg as if he wasn’t already famous by then lololol
it was the 70's.
@@RazvanMihai88 Blue Lagoon came out in 1980.
@@Foreverettemusic nobody in the flashback looked, like they were in the 80's. and Sylvia is dressed like: Bea Arthur's character - Maude.
@@RazvanMihai88 Unless you were alive and observing your surroundings from between 1975 to 1981, as I was, you wouldn't know that. Fran's look actually is very 1979-1980, because that's when the movie "10" with Bo Derek inspired millions of women to mimic her corn-row hair style. Which I remember since unlike you, I was there.
@@HungryForTastyFoodAndComicArt I could care less, when you were born.
And yet you continue to ask me.
10.
🤣♥️
Fun stuff always gonna happen when Fran is caught red handed by Mr. Sheffield
I would have love more flash back episodes of this fran and she looks great braids
The funny part about the Steven Spielberg bit is how they just ignore the fact that he’d already done Jaws and Close Encounters of the Third Kind by that point (the Blue Lagoon joke indicates this was around 1980)
The nylon on the couch 😆😂
I love this show it’s so funny and entertaining ! Still good in 2023. I wish they would do a reboot! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Maggie is just a knock out
Very beautiful
One of my favorite episodes of the nanny❤♥💛💙💕💜
Whatever shape wear Silvia has on.... I need it! She looks really good in the flash-back.
oh no im cousin Myra....
Upside, you're also Fran
so am I. and if Myra is a woman, I'm a man.
You guys are spectacular talented. Thanks
Any comments on Silvia having had a white streak in her hair, just like Max's? A subtle connection ...
It was amazing seeing Virginia Graham again! I remember watching her show!
LOL Sylvia has the grey in her hair like Maxwell Sheffield! Sylvia, a raven-haired beauty, what do you know.
They cut out the best part.
This is a continuity error - in a different episode CC is shocked to find out the Maxwell gave up the musical "Cats"
This is the woman who can't remember the names of the three kids she's been meeting for every day for over ten years, though. She probably repressed it.
@@EterPuralis that’s because she doesn’t care about them.
But the angel of the repression can be an option too
that's because the original name was Felines not Cats hahahah. they change the name because the name implied Lions, Tigers and stuff
-this is s joke-
This is wild! 😂😂
I spent my summer at a nunnery in Switzerland it waz fun they showed me embroidery and cow milking they even still send me Xmas cards
Fran should have gone out with Steven Spielberg
“Sure, Ma, like that’s ever gonna happen. Oh, Val, you should see my cousin Myra. It is so pathetic. Thirty-two years old in a really short mini-skirt, high heels, big hair. Oh! It is so sad.”
That sounds like Fran. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Yeah there's no way this flashback makes sense lol. Steven Spielberg was already a household name by 1975 when Jaws came out. He graduated high school in 1964! 🤣 And this flashback is supposed to be around 1979-1980.
Steven Spielberg was 9 years old in 1955.
Unreliable narrator trope. If Fran is telling Maxwell this story she's low-key implying she had the chance to be with Speilberg and turned him down, likely to get under his skin.
So I’m not Jewish, what’s a kibbutz?
ask Bette Midler, she knows. she once said to Fran: 'don't bet the kibbutz, baby.'
a community farm in Israel where you could volunteer to help out, and make new friends

In many episodes Maggie reminds me of Linda Evans. Looks like her daughter.
Question to my fellow "The Nanny" fans - I get that there are continuity errors in the flashback (which I'm not really concerned about - it's a sitcom, for crying out loud!) - I get almost all the period references of the time (like the Bo Derek hairdo from "Ten," the Blue Lagoon references, Steven Spielberg, even though that's a continuity error, etc.), except for one - when Sylvia mentions "Mrs. Milton's son," and Fran said that "he stole money out of my locker," is this yet another pop reference? The only Milton I can think of is Milton Berle, and that's definitely NOT who young Fran is referring to. I've been trying to Google the Milton reference for this episode and no luck. Hopefully someone will know the answer. Thanks!
Hi. The ref was to Michael Milken, lol! Milken was indicted for racketeering and securities fraud in 1989 in an insider trading investigation, thus the ref to stealing money.
I agree the flashback scene made no sense whatsoever. I find it stupid to be honest. Even for a sitcom.
@@rosycandyhaven ?
Yeah I think people are taking it way too literally. Lol. I’m sure the Spielberg reference was more because Sylvia wanted Fran to marry a Jewish guy, and the joke was that his mother lived down the hall. I don’t care if the timeline was wrong, that scene is absolutely hilarious!! To think that Fran missed her chance to marry a successful millionaire! 🤣
0:54 - Appropriate audience reaction.
Yes, the audience was on point with their reactions
