Fun fact: iPhones do not emit sounds over 15.999kHz so if you’re playing this on an iPhone, you won’t hear anything. I was testing my hearing and freaked out a little because I couldn’t hear it. But when I tried it on my laptop I could clearly hear the ringing, as if there was a mosquito near my ear. I even went up to 18kHz and could faintly sense a noise.
I think all phones
In my school, there are these "breezeways" (that's what we call them), with these tiny little things on the ceiling of the "breezeways" that make this sound (referring to the sound in the video), most people can't hear it, but I can, which makes walking through the "breezeways" a nightmare to me, the funny part is I usually react to suddenly hearing the noise, and everyone around me looks at me like I'm crazy. *sigh* Being able to hear sounds with such high frequency is both a blessing and a curse
This is like the noise that comes out of cheap phone chargers
same lol
this is what an old tv sounds like when u turn it on but the screen hasnt lit up yet
I keep trying to describe this sound in this exact way to other people and most of them don't seem to understand what I am talking about. Thank you.
That isn't 16 kHz but rather 15,734 Hz for NTSC and 15,625 Hz for PAL
this's my tinitus sounds like
This sounds like my childhood home's television set. My parents would tell us to double-check that we turned off the television and we'd say “Itʼs off!”, they wouldnʼt believe us, but us kids could all hear it when it was on. It was weird learning that some adults lost their hearing.
this is what i hear when i sleep
Hello tinnitus my old friend.
I listened to long to it. Now I even hear the sound, when I turn it off.
Tinnitus
Congratulations! You now have hearing damage.
Woah! You re-edited the video and it worked! Good job!
Not sure if youtube changed something but as of 2021 I can 100% hear the sound
It tickles my ears.
it sounds good
Maybe it's the RUclips compression which wiped this sine.
Not sure if youtube changed something but as of 2021 I can 100% hear the sound
@@christiansekumade1223 maybe your phone just has bad speakers
If I put it next to my ear, I can hear an insanely quiet static sound
I think its outside of the average human hearing range :P
The human hearing range is up to 20khz
I’m sorry :(((( I didn’t know :( I didn’t mean to offend you guys, and I’m brainless and deaf. Everything is a permanent mistake to me, and this always happens. I’m deaf but I can still hear.
@@shaneoneal2053 not when you age...
@@polanski2399 It's above the range that some headphones and cheap speakers can reproduce, especially if we're using a cheap DAC or bluetooth module
does mouse can hear it. can I use it to attach them
Mice will not care
*Do mice hear it? Can I use it to attract them?
even if i cant hear it, when i play the video my breath is just gone. idk why.
I'm not sure if its the audio or my that makes that noise
On a real hearing test i could hear up to 19khz RUclips blocks sounds above 15.7khz and this is 16khz
I can't hear anything in this video. How is this possible?
too old to hear this ㅠ.ㅠ
i cant hear it, yay :3 😂
How old are you
You are either deaf or very old
@@merlieneri5630 20
CRT flyback noise
If you can't hear it...which is probably most of you, don't worry...you're not going deaf. You're not supposed to be able to hear that. It's a wonder why people mixing claim that anything above 14Khz is so essential when you can barely hear anything above 14kHz. Anyway, if you turn it up...I mean...like ALL THE WAY...you may get a faint ultra-ugh deafening "pressure." So, no...you shouldn't be able to hear this unless you're a teenager or much younger.
Dude I'm 32 and I can still hear it very loud if I turn the volume all the way up. But then again I always had a good hearing. This sound is very loud btw
I’m 13 and can’t hear it even full volume
@@rynelandenmoore4245 It could be your headphones. You're too young to not hear it. Maybe use better headphones. If you're listening on good headphones and still can't hear it...at your age, you need to get a hearing test
@@abdcefgh You're very fortunate. Congrats! I can still hear 16kHz but only through one ear. The other caps out around 15kHz.
@@matrixate ohh I’m not using headphones just putting it up to my ear
I can't hear it
This sounds makes my body shiver. I don't hear a lot but what I do hear makes me uncomfortable, I have to turn it off or lower the volume a lot. Using an s20 galaxy, I'm 36 . Yes very much like old tube tvs when I was a kid. That noise was irritating af and my parents always said I was exaggerating.
put your sound to highest with headphones you can hear it a little
bolt148 No it is actually not playing anything I measured it with my oscilloscope it does not play any sound.
I can hear wings fluttering
@@stonecold7945 i can hear it....
@bolt148 white noise at 0 dB. Sorry.
@@stonecold7945 Not sure if youtube changed something but as of 2021 I can 100% hear the sound
Sobre tirar o fone e perceber que o barulho não para 😣
Oh god ouch
My hears hurt
sounds like my ears ringing
That hurt.
You ca hear it?
@@Agent_Matt_6 I hear it too
Pensé que ya era incapaz de escuchar está frecuencia, pero leyendo comentarios abajo veo que nadie escucha!

I'm gonna play this in a room and see if anyone notices
wish me luck
My speaker are not rated for 16Kilo hertz! My new discovery.
old style TVs be like:
39yrs old and wear hearing aids daily... I don't hear it.
why is it so high it's supposed to be lower than humans can hear not a high pitch humans Can here
It's really faint
you shouldn't hear the hz unless your 24 years old or under i think
Senso_Kiti There's nothing playing. I ran it thru my oscilloscope and nothing plays. I'm fairly certain RUclips compression just wiped this out completely.
@@theknifesedge57 well I see a signal at 16khz and for sure can hear it loud and clear
Can't see anything on a scope
You're listening to a voice recorder playing NO SOUND!
HELP I HEAR IT AFTER IT TURNED OFF
Is it bad that I can hear it?
no, its actually very good
its like i can hear it but it sucks
The way to hear it is to put your ear right next to the speaker on phone at full volume
I'm hearing white noise. White noise plays all frequencies with equal intensity. www.onlinetonegenerator.com. the REAL 16 kilohertz is a very tiny quiet high pitch whine to the human ear. Short cut:16e3. Some electric keyboards have it, transpose on 12, M. Octave on 2, pitch bender on 12 or 24, Mute cut off on 127 so it adds power to the low and high notes, but mostly high. I did that in 10th grade in 2015. IF 16 kilohertz is loud enough, it will hurt.
wow headache
Yooooo! I don't hear anything.....
SINE, not "sinus"! lol
www.onlinetonegenerator.com. RUclips cuts off sound above 15.7 kilohertz.
There is not noise...
Uh where is the sound
you're an adult or going deaf
I can definitely hear it if I turn up my sound all the way but there's also this much more noticeable garbage sound.

I can’t hear it and I’m 9

I don't hear anything 🤣🤣
that one is a scam
Turn your volume all the way up and if you have an updated sound card on your PC I can guarantee you that the sound will be coming out of the speakers. As of april of 2021 I can 100% hear the sound and my hearing is not even that great.
Nup, I can hear it just fine
I can't hear it
Not sure if youtube changed something but as of 2021 I can 100% hear the sound. P.S.: some people have comments saying that a few years back youtube compressed the audio so nothing was coming out of the video. Check it out now
