Best shot is the one that goes in
So as a defender, I never get that Shot LOL
I like this video, because it's not really about 'what is the best shot', but instead it's more of a 'when to use the different types of shots for most effectiveness'. It was helpful.
That’s exactly correct! We try to keep the titles eye catching. Thanks for the awesome comment 👊
The answer is varied depending on the situation
..wait, what about the knuckle puck??
romahnae It’s pretty rare that you’ll have a knuckle puck rolling towards you but in that situation it’s a slap shot scenario. Btw I like your pfp rip Etika. : (
I've been watching hockey for over 15 years and have never heard of a knuckle puck. I assume it's like baseball's knuckleball? Wow would that be a hard shot considering the fact that raising the puck with the blade would make the puck wobble up and down regardless

@@justicelucas1116 Ahh thats how I missed the reference
Snap shot and back hand is Crosby by the way
Nice video. The counterpart to the one timer is the catch and release, which is becoming quite popular. Would be interesting to see some discussion of catch and release. Bauer made a good video on the catch and release with Auston Matthews.
9 month latter no one is going to read this but. Snap shot was the easiest to learn and master for me. My inside leg is my stronger leg so having all the weight on it feels natural. Plus leaving the blade of the stick on the ice also helps with balance. After that you just have to find the sweet spot for the stick your using, start with soft shots then ramp up slowly. I use a 87 flex and weight 215.
Snap shot is great the best IMO
Goalies are so good now, so technical, its all about quick release.
then u look at Laine... 5 goals in a game
@@Speed_7545 followed by 3 goals in 6 months
I enjoy watching this video about how to shoot a puck
One timer is also kucherov and stamkos!
Nice video.
Definitely
Love ure Channel
Nice vid
Ovechkin is known for his one timers/slapshot
Surprisingly my snapshots are the best and my snapshots are faster than my slapshot. According to a lot of players and people, I have a lot of explosive power. This is done to me playing NFL and Rugby.
Mike Bossy was a master of all 5!!!
Hey Chris, do you think you could make a comparison video with the CCM Ribcor 63K and the CCM Ribcor Trigger 3D? I'm trying to figure out if cheaper will be better.
Dominic Gibbs-hey man, I would honestly tell you to get the ribcore pro 3. It is the stick better than the 63k, but one worse than the trigger. I have one myself, and it is absolutely insane. I also have a 1s and 1x, and this is far superior.
@@zxnoh7912 Idk, I wanna make sure I don't spend too much money.
@dominic the ribcore pro 3 is 150 dollars. If you are looking for something more inexpensive, then for sure go with CCM. Whatever works for you man.
@@zxnoh7912 The problem is I only have $200 😂. I think I'll just ask for the Trigger 3D for Christmas. That's the best option besides spending all that money.
Dominic Gibbs good idea!
Snapshot, Slapshot, and Backhand are what I practice, and I never need the wristshot in a game. Should I still practice the wristshot?
I thought that the wrist shot was transfer of weight from back leg to front leg and then your snap shot was when u lean on your inside leg like Phil kessel
You can take a snap or wrist off either leg but typically snapshots are taken off your front and wrists shots are your back foot

Backhand is at 5:40. No way we could leave out the backhand shot.
@@HockeyTutorialOfficial oh yeah sorry Chris, i didnt see it at the title at first my mistake!! but overall great video
Thank you :)
And why?
Backhands definitely backhands for me, yeah snapshots are good I guess..
Laine is the best at the one-timer...
not even close
Best shot is the specific shot for the situation.
That’s exactly the point we’re making in this video. Once you understand the different shots, you can better apply them in different situations.
Hockey Tutorial didn’t watch it. Seems like common sense to us Canadians.
Id say Evgeny Kuznetsov has the best wrister in the league
yoo, what's good thierry henry!?...
Ohhh I get it! Because we’re both black and have no hair. Damn you’re a quick one aren’t you. 10 points.
nah, chris.. lol it's because you're current grooming reminds me of henry's current grooming as well. y'all both got the goatee and bald head look going.
Lmao!!! I’ll take it. Good looking dude
Boo raiders. Let’s go wildcats !!!
Go to Swindon they have an ex NHL player. (2000 draft pick for the devils)
But the Romford rink is nice!
4:00 thats a snapshot. Any shot where the puck comes off the blade in the slightest way is a snap. Same thing for pulling the puck into your body. Every shot I take I pull the puck in. Change my mind.
First
100% of the shots you don't take doesn't score. Wayne, the God, Gretzky.

Since when does Ovi have the best wrist shot? That's Phil Kessel
No Kessel has the best snap shot, ovi has the best one timer
Don’t take hockey advice from British people 😂
We’ll stop sharing any more videos.. Sorry. Maybe you could start a hockey RUclips channel and show us how it’s done properly please ?
