You got it the wrong way. Sponge in the buttom tray and substrate pro in the second tray. That way the sponge acts as a mechanical filter as well as a biofilter. The substrat pro will perform poorly as a mechanical filter and was designed entirely as a bio media.
Hi. I have the same filter for a few years. At the last wash, the white plastic stick broke. I replaced it with a similar one. The propeller makes an annoying noise. Can you tell me the exact length and thickness of the stick? thanks

Did exactly the same thing and now the filter is vibrating and rattling... Any ideas why?
the small wheel in the ball needs a little adjustment.
