She probably knew she wouldn't win, especially after none of the queens named her as their winner at the reunion but she seemed pretty confident and hungry in her lip syncs at the finale. It was almost a year after filming the season and I feel like she was a lot more confident there

For those who doesn't know what's happening: since season 4 they film all finalists winning on stage, so the real result didn't get leaked, that's why their reactions are always a little bit flat. The finalists only knows who's the winner together with us watching the finale.

I was there last night and at one point, the event space was cheering so loudly that she was completely overwhelmed with emotion to the point of full on crying. It was really touching!!

And aside from the butterfly genocide that went down onstage (apparently you could see butterflies ripped a part across the stage) it must have been very hard for Asia that had she not been so focused on a reveal and stunt that she could have made it to the final round and possibly won. Kameron probably would have beat Asia either way but idk, there's no way to say how it would have gone down without this mishap and that must have torn Asia up inside for a really long time. It was also the biggest thing people talked about from that finale, which must have been hard for her as well.

Aquaria won because she was 100% committed to every challenge that was thrown at her. Even though I liked her fashion in the beginning, I wasn’t fully impressed with her at first. The moment I thought she could win it was when she performed in Snatch Game. From that point on my attention went more towards her.
