So cool. It's like Magical Mystery Tour era Beatles meets ELO meets The Billy Graham Singers
These were such good times. The Whole “Trip”. Turner Falls, Trees, Main Bar, Elm Street Bar, The Basement, Blind Melon Complex. … Argo in Denton We Were truly Blessed.
The most under appreciated band of all time, hard to believe a band that size has such perfect timing
Amazing! I must invent a time machine so I can go back and attend this show. I never heard of these beautiful people before tonight, wish I had.
So the Spree has their new album playing at UNT right now, set to an amazing psychedelic, soul journey visual film "experience" at the planetarium at the school. I saw it last night and was just blown away!
I was fortunate to see them way back in the oughts. Such power coming off the stage. Genius
this is incredible. Everyone is good in the band. How do you find 24 amazingly talented musicians to perform in sync, and yet each have their own little contribution morsels dispersed throughout?? And for all to believe, to tour and devote their lives??? This is a force of nature that doesn't happen often. I hope I can be a part of a passion project like this one day
They were from Texas
When is the world going to embrace The Polyphonic Spree? They are such a creative and unique band with such a positive vibe and with some of the best melodies in modern music. Share this video and make it happen already. Get up and go!
Thank you for your very kind words..... I agree.
Unfortunately, the world seldom embraces creative, unique bands with positive vibes and great melodies.
But that new Migos track is lit AF!
Tim Delaughter Best live shows ever.
If the record companies still existed as they were they would have had the proper support but the little shits who download destroyed it. and now Spree is crowded out by thousands of shitty alt and rap Acts.
when they produce a classic album of ORIGINAL material..
The opener has captured Yes...almost like Close to the Edge.
Absolutely gorgeous...INSPIRATIONAL.
One of the BEST live shows I've ever see for sure!!!!!!
In the beggining, there was The Polyphonic Spree, and they were amazing. But people didn't realized their genius so from the mud Arcade Fire was born. And it was good, but The Polyphonic Spree will always reign.
AC had half a good first record and a second one rivalling Strokes for title of worst second album of all time. This is what passes for good to you?
Arcade Fire is a garbage act.
@@davidames1746 let's just agree to disagree there
@@davidames1746 lolyou're a garbage act
Amen to that observation. TPS are the Father and AF is the Son. Wonder if they’d ever play together or start a fest where they co-headline it.
As a fellow Heliophille - I love this band - sun and life worshippers. Tell the sun you love him/her - look into the sun every day, be grateful, praise and soak up it's life giving energy
if you are in the DFW area go see Atmoshpere in Denton Polyphonic Sprees immersive film for their new album!! You will not regret it!!!
I've been to 3 of their XMAS shows. It was a huge event, including comedians, animal shows, a group of lovely, elderly women who would put on a dance performance. Just a fantastic, happy event. The Spree are amazing live. All great musicians. First time I've seen anyone playing a theremin live. That was back in 2000 something. 2004 or 2005. It was funny to see them cameo in the movie "The Big Short". I was going through some tough times, and their music pulled me through.
As a classically trained pianist, can I just give props to the keyboard player here? I've watched a few PS vids tonight, and that chap in spot on all the time, combining technique and style with being subtle or bombastic when it's needed. I wish I could play as well as he does. Top work x
Well, it's 2019 already, time to create a play to incorporate all of your great music. Times a wastin. Get er done.
the perfect tour bill The Polyphonic Spree and Ghost.
Love these guys! One of the top live bands in the US and the world!
There's no show like a Spree show. Miss these guys. Come play Seattle!!!! I'll help raise the gas money!!!
Christopher Kymberly Poett Probably right after you posted this, they announced a Fall Tour. Did you see? They'll be in Seattle in October.
Thanx for posting this. Really cheered me up on potentially dismal day. I miss seeing these guys. Saw them in Philly, NYC, D.C. and Dallas back in 2004 or so. So glad they're still around and hope Tim keeps it going. #cheers
Kudos to the sound mixer for a fabulous job getting the band sound.
FOR REAL!
I'd love to hear Hedwig & The Polyphonic Spree!
Love ! The Polyphonic Spree ! But it seems that every time there’s new people. I only recognize Tim & the bass player. Oh the girl playing the cello it’s beautiful . Thank you !
Yeah people come and go ST VINCENT obv became ST VINCENT went on to win Grammys and yeah people move on… Tim is awesome ! ST VINCENT said in an article that she came back from NYC and was about to give up on music completely when her friend introduced her to TIM and then she joined Polyphonic Spree and the rest is history. Whoever Tim and the guys have it’s always awesome. People move on to solo careers. What an amazing performance here though ! this is one of the best I’ve ever seen ^^^^ ❤️polyphonic spree ❤️ cool to see TIM busting out the sheet there in the beginning of the set 😄reminds me of the old 90s TIM back in the “BILL” days before they saw any major label/MTV Success. Perfect way to start a show 😄❤️🙏🙌👍👍👌✌️
brightened my day :-) Thank you for sharing :-)
Porpoise Song by The Monkees is one of my favorite songs as well, blew my mind to hear them break into it!
I would LOVE for them to come to my little city on the East Coast of Canada called Saint John, and we have such a beautiful old theatre for them to play in! I wish I was I concert booker or something. People in our city need to see them, especially me at this juncture in my crappy life(style). Thanks.
They would rock the Imperial.
Have to see them next time they are in Columbus, OH
❤️thanks for this ❤️🙏just what I needed to hear
23.00 wow right time thanks
Интересно придумали, молодцы ребята...
I have the urge to time travel back to 1989 and do more acid...
13:40 I love the Sermon with organs. so beautiful.
God is Good
that rendition of" live and let die" is head and shoulders above any guns n roses version and even gives sir paul a run for his money.
this is really good
Do you put all the reCord store operaTORS IN THE FRONT ROW, ON PUROPSE tIM?
Joy!
These people have a direct link to the 26th century
I was at that show. I THINK. :)
pretty music
Soldier Girl !! Is nothing with out the flute .
Who's in the choir at this gig?
@David - just look to to the future
Wheres the cowbell?!
Audience = all dudes.
Still my favorite religion
Confession: I had a few lustful thoughts over the background singers.
Vol tree shed upon HER
I love their music and their sound, but I can't say I feel the same for their lyrics and their vocals always seem to be mixed too loud, competing with their instruments.
serious question -
how do they make any money?
Is it about money? Serious question.
selling songs to film or tv
Their Christmas show is definitely profitable. They've already sold out floor seats for a Dec 17 show at $55/per in a 1700 seat venue and it's only Oct 6.
How do any of these musicians make a living? What does he pay them? A hit of acid, some ramen noodles, and $50/show?? Plus how do they play a show without playing It's the Sun or their BIGGEST HIT Light & Day?! 🤦♂️
Youre right. Inexplicably too many covers and not the hits. It's what drives the numbers. It's hierarchical. Tin should read up on his Jordan Peterson.
Hold me Now and Two Thousand Places are bigger and better than Light and Day.
I need the singers shirt
