Dirk Dillinger I want to add my loving endorsement of what Dirk says. I have the greatest respect and admiration for Bill Homans (Watermelon Slim). I call him one of my extra sons. His heart is almost too big for him to handle, and his huge courage and boundless talents inspire me whenever I hear or see him. One of my favorites of his compositions is "Immortal," and I wonder if it is on YT anywhere. It doesn't come up with the search.

I had the great and long overdue pleasure of seeing Mr. Homans perform last Saturday night. I cannot express what an absolutely brilliant talent he is and a super interesting man to listen to and talk to. I';ve got all of his CDs and they all have a place in my car at all times. You must be very proud of having a genius for a father. My sister went with me to his show and she was equally floored by his performance. He's the real deal. I told him his was the best show I had seen since Bukka White, Furry Lewis, and Joe Willie Wilkins a long, long time ago. He seemed to be very flattered over that comment and it's well deserved.
I just heard this on Justified and it was really quite muffled. I honestly thought it was Garrett Hedlund as Beau Hutton doing "Silver Wings" or even "Hard Out Here".
Heard on Justified last night. Loved it immediately. Gorgeous!
