Vicodyn That IS more likely... but really.. you search for comics on youtube, it's going to bring up Robs channel, everyone who works in comics knows who Rob is, it would be neglectful not to... could Hardy have searched Venom and found him? Sure... would he? Probably? Meh. I choose to believe that he had prior knowledge.
Hardy has probably already done at least a cursory Google/RUclips search on Venom when he got the role... and guess what one of the first things to pop up when you do that is? ComicsExplained. It's a very easy channel to find, especially with how big Rob's gotten these days, so I wouldn't doubt at all that Hardy found him at some point on his own, and then was probably further reminded at the start of the interview by his handler and/or the person running the interviews in general that the person sitting down across from him now is indeed ComicsExplained. So yea, it was probably a bit of both.
Just like that, Rob became a multiversal singularity.

Am I insane or is everyone putting words in his mouth. He saying favorite scenes TO SHOOT. That dosn"t mean he thought they should be in the final cut or they were even good. If im making a porno my favorite scene to shoot might be the money shot but I know I have a gross O face so I would never want my face shot in the movie.

@Turd Ferguson: While that's possible, it's also possible many of those scenes were removed because they went with a PG-13 rating, and the scenes are too extreme and would require an R rating. We may never know, but if we get an R-rated Director's cut for Blu Ray, to me that verifies that theory.

Tom Hardy's varying accent really does fascinate me
He does so many voices for different roles that some the speech patterns might have stuck with him. I feel like he sounds extremely different in every movie.

Also I feel it's a trait/sign of a truly gifted, multifaceted character Actor whose performances are usually so deeply rooted in the method that they totally and wholeheartedly embrace and embody the they are playing to such an extreme extent, that they quite literally become them. My theory is that because they are not just simply mimicking them whilst on set filming as other actors at the top of their game do, but rather go as far as taking on their ticks, mannerisms, behavioural quirks, personali and deep rooted flaws etc, they have a hard time not only detaching themselves from the role & letting go of the character after filming has rapped, but struggle to go back to being their former selves, it almost seems their transformation into their characters was so so literal and so profound that they will never be 100% the way the were before each performance since, no matter how hard they try to rid themselves, the character they played remains a part of them. Sometimes it fades away by their next job, other times not so much. With most cases, returning to their original accent is the most noticeable and common adopted trait.
With others, such as The actor Jeremy Brett (Who played Sherlock Holmes for Decades on Tv) his friends and family noticed his personality morphing into that of the character he played, even he himself in the end could no longer tell where the fictional character ended and his true self began. His case was thankfully rare but so severe that he ended up almost completely loosing his own personal self identity and was almost driven to schizophrenia.
Not nearly as bad as Christian Bale's
Christopher Castro he's terrible at accents, it's just his voice.
I do minor voice acting and I change up my accent now and again and when you practice a part with an accent...it just sticks with you honestly.

Yeah, I think I found him about 3 or 4 years ago when i first heard about the civil war comics and he was the only one that had a really in depth and visual detailed video about it. I'm guessing a lot of others found him the same way for civil war and infinity war and other marvel movies too. Glad to see his hard work paid off.

I would love if they released a R-rated cut for the blu-ray, since that Venom (and the other symbiotes like Carnage) gives a lot of opportunities for creative use of gore... I think he mentioned a "puppeteering" scene, I can imagine what he meant 😆
