@@TheWeekendCruiser i think we are so isolated in 2024 in regular life versus being on a cruise ship brings so many socialization opportunities! I’ve always cruised solo & never not made friends on the ship. All the cruises I’ve been on so far have had solo meetups & lgbtqia+ meetups & i always make friends at both.
So, you are the reason those prices increased slightly. lol I happen to see these sailings a few weeks ago... one day, I found a fare of $136 plus taxes/port fee as a solo traveler. You just can't beat that for travel, lodging, food, and entertainment. Ditto... I have found the MSC buffet to be consistently good for me. I plan on booking a couple trips on Magnifica... hope they consider bringing her to Tampa next year. ;-)

Just got off the Divina. My first MSC, meraviglia, was a partial obstructed ocean view in Bella. The biggest problem with that room was that the desk had a hair dryer anchored to the desk but the mirror was next to the bathroom door! The room was indeed small but still relatively functional. Our friends moved the beds around to concentrate the floor space all in the same place! They made an L! Thanks for the heads up that solo isn’t double , at least at times! I’d consider 2 rooms for a couple even😂
haha funny, I met someone on a recent cruise who was like "you need to interview more women to see what they experience. The hair dryer here is horrible!" I would agree, having it bolted into the drawer is a big issue.
I did an 11 day cruise on the Divina in September of 2022 for $600 out the door. Loved it! Paid for guaranteed interior and was upgraded to deluxe balcony. Would love to sail on that ship again.
I got a friend that's a lot of fun but I want to sleep so we cannot share a room. He cannot afford a room on his own. So, we could go if I can find him a $300 cabin. YaY!!
Thanks for your videos. Helps a lot. Can I ask how much was the ship model? Going on Seashore the end of next month. First MSC cruise. We have group that we call, Friends and family group. In May we had 25 rooms on the Quantum of the Seas to Alaska. This cruise on MSC we have 6 rooms. Like you, we are checking the prices. We have a 3 hour drive from the Gulf coast. My pleasure Bill! Ship models on MSC go for around $55. Keep in mind, they are a higher quality than you will find on some other lines. Though, there price is still very reasonable comparatively.
Great question! If you are driving down you will take the 395 tunnel to the port. However, before there was a tunnel, you would access the port from a bridge in downtown that is still active today and has a large sidewalk and minimal traffic.
My parents are on the MSC Seashore for 4 nights and are really enjoying it! 🎉

Msc has the best rates for solos but they do fluctuate a lot

Just booked msc seashore 7 night for $429 each before port fees and tax today. cheapest carnival that week was 629 each

Just have to keep your eyes open and consider options! Cheap cruises or solo cabins is the way to go!
