Also snapshot feels like having a targeting mod for free and has same base range as astral horizon unfortunately if you don't have a 9/10-10/10 roll it sucks
Buddy you dont get it. If you body shot someone w blasphemer and finish w a melee, swashbuckler procs to x5 instantly. It deals 300 damage for bodyshot, one shotting everything in a 14-18 meter radius

For shotguns lacking on handling, there’s a charged w light mod called quick charge that has a secondary passive perk that improves ready speed for shotguns and fusions. It’s an arc mod and you need another charged w light mod that’s arc for the passive perk. This mod combined with shotty dexterity improved aggressives a lot
A little note about the astral horizon, there is a roll that has 76 handling (which is more than a lightweight's base handling). You do have to luck out and get barrel shroud, celerity, and a handling masterwork, and throw on a shotgun dexterity mod, and you have quickdraw and a fast ads speed on astral.

@@CC-of5xl where the gun comes from has an effect on how likely you're to get to God roll. Drops being scarce, behind an activity people dont want to do or it being too difficult all makes it less appealing weapon to get and less likely to get the God roll
If there's one thing I've learned from all of Wallah's videos, it's...I'm glad I never play rumble or I'd never know if someone was cheating or if it's Wallah on someone's account or hiding his name.

Yeah, Hawkmoon does not mesh well with his play style. You have to be deliberate and not spray with HM, but Wallah is a total spaz. Does he have his weapon select on a free-spinning mouse wheel? It’s just constant hopping and 1 2 1 2. Maybe I’m just a “slow” player.
Funfact: If you don't hate yourself enough to go after an Astral, a max range Toil and Trouble is nearly Identical to it (non-adept) and can get threat detector. Arguable better than surplus but no OS, though.
I've been using my new igneous hammer with QD/Celery and an astral horizon with surplus/trench barrel. I also use stasis hunter, and I love to use surplus guns on stasis hunter because the abilities are not great and it just benefits surplus not using them. U also get 4 abilities, so big speed
I think I have an interesting idea... Tommy's Matchbook + Mask of the Quiet One Low recovery is better on this setup because the point is being on lower health via Tommy's and proccing Dreaded Visage, which gives you ability energy. Pairing this with high discipline or strength is a great way to lead to extensions of this setup. Examples include... 1. Suppression grenades. You can get them a lot more often on Armamentarium, but this is still viable, I think. 2. Top Tree Striker/Code of the Earthshaker for the Magnitude perk which does Armamentarium's thing. 3. Code of The Devastator for Throwing Hammers. I love Throwing Hammers so this is a good setup I run often. (I don't even need a special, kinetic bows + Throwing Hammers are a great combo.) 4. Stasis...anything really. It's Stasis.
Toil and trouble is the best shotgun in the game. It’s and aggressive frame that can get very high range and rolls with threat detector and snapshot making it feel like pre nerf QuickDraw.
There is another aggressive frame besides Astral in the kinetic slot. Toil and Trouble is the only aggressive frame that can still roll with threat detector which gives it very nice handling (almost qd with a dex mod) and is also more reliable than surplus imo. No opening shot but snapshot sights which doesn't hurt when using full choke.
If u run a handling exotic like dragons shadow or ophidian then felwinters will be the best / most consistent shotgun in the energy slot due to its perk, shot package
Hell yes. I love these types of videos. I like knowing whats fun to play not necessarily the best stats-wise but the most fun. Man you are so good at this game. I wish I had 10% of the skill you do. I am so glad you explain why you do certain things. Like suing a grenade to cut people off. I hadn't thought of that but now I do it.
Riiswalker is my favourite by far. I have this roll: Rifled barrel (+10 range +14 handling) Accurised rounds (+10 range) Quickdraw Iron reach Range masterwork 96 range total!
it feels like riiswalker's pellets are so tightly knit for some reason, its a very strange shotty and most of the time you're gonna map people with it, but there's always that one time where the shots just dont hit for some reason
man watching this video made me miss having a ton of special, double icarus dash, good shotguns, ae with stompies, and no lobbies full of people running the meta
Toil & Trouble is another Aggressive kinetic shotgun, and it can roll with around 50 handling or more if you give up full choke, plus threat detector, which imo makes it better than Astral horizon. Threat detector x1 will be up for every shotgun fight bc it procs at 15m and makes it handle like it has around 80 handling if you have about 50 handling. With threat detector x2 you basically have prenerf Quickdraw but it also reloads faster which can sometimes be nice if you get caught with no ammo loaded. Only problem is that its a random world drop so its anybody's guess whether you'll get a usable one or not. I have a full choke, light mag, threat detector, auto loading, and handling mw one and it's better than Astral imo because of threat detector. It doesn't kill quite as far out as consistently as Astral because it can't get opening shot though, but I think I'd rather have threat detector for faster swaps. Especially on top dawn, because you can't jump cancel to do the Quickdraw glitch because that subclass lets you shoot/aim in the air.
The +20 Mobility from a lightweight shotgun can be nice, but they do have some consistency problems since you need 11/12 pellets to connect for a kill. In the current meta, I'm liking Found Verdict & Retold Tale, but Risswalker has it's moments for sure.
I've actually been enjoying running the surplus shotguns with stasis Hunter and 6th Coyote. Even though surplus caps at 3 abilities, you have 5 to work with, which gives you more wiggle room if you really wanna keep that buff maxed.

Of course you have to play ark, but with middle tree warlock and bottom tree striker being so good not the biggest issue. i have a pretty good one, full choke\accurized\slideshot you're welcome to try

I've been having a lot of fun with a strange hipfire-focused godroll Wishbringer recently. It's bad. It's not a good gun. Not in any way. But I've been having a lot of fun destroying people with 2 taps or 1tap->melee (or finishing them from around half health with it) from stupid range without even having to ADS. The roll I've been using is Rifled Barrel, Appended Mag, Hipfire Grip, Opening Shot, Stability MW, and with the Freehand Grip mod. Although a MUCH more ideal roll would be Rifled Barrel, Accurized Rounds, Hipfire Grip, Opening Shot, Range MW, and Freehand Grip mod, I don't have that one myself. Literally using a bad shotgun with a roll built for the best possible hipfire accuracy and range instead of doing ADS stuff like normal people. Not a good idea, but so fun when it works.

The best precision frame is prophet of doom, retold and compass have slightly less range and can’t roll opening shot
prophet of doom can't roll quickdraw though. Also it's a raid weapon on a non-pinnacle raid that also happens to be a raid a lot of people hate.

Although a MUCH more ideal roll would be Rifled Barrel, Accurized Rounds, Hipfire Grip, Opening Shot, Range MW, and Freehand Grip mod, I don't have that one myself.
Literally using a bad shotgun with a roll built for the best possible hipfire accuracy and range instead of doing ADS stuff like normal people. Not a good idea, but so fun when it works.
I still use mindbenders ambition, it’s capped at 1100 but still slaps for me range masterworked
