This video was recorded last September in preparation of them releasing a new original album but then the quarantine happened so they released a whole EP of cover songs from their homes. You should react to them, they released videos of them singing from their homes. They are hoping to be able to finish their original album as soon as they can. They just released a cover of Mad World.
Their original music slaps. It's honestly a crime that it's not as popular as their covers. They are releasing an original album. There's no official date yet, but it seems they're gonna drop it this year. They did the At Home EP, which was all covers, arranged, recorded and shot in their separate houses. It's really amazing too. Any of those videos are worth watching, but I especially recommend Blinding Lights and Dreams. As for their original songs, I definitely recommend you check out New Year's Day, their live performance on Carson Daly. It's my favorite original song by them ever. It doesn't have a music video, but the live performance is profesionally recorded. Also, if you haven't reacted to Superfruit yet (Scott and Mitch's channel), they have incredible original music too. Guy.exe or Deny U, for example. So you could try these as well in the future :).

When I first discovered Pentatonix a couple of years ago, your reaction videos were among my favorite to watch. I always love your insight about the musical aspect. I do hope you'll react to their recent videos. Mad World and all their videos from their "At Home" EP.
I have no idea where to put this but since this is the last Pentatonix you reacted to I will stick it in here. I don't see a few iconic songs or performances of Pentatonix in here - Their 3rd Grammy performance for "Jolene" with Dolly Parton, the Star Wars performance at the AMA awards, the live performance in Singapore of Aha super low to super high (it has to be that one the Pentaholics will all tell you it is a fan in seats video and Kevin is putting away the cello so you don't see him), the Wizard of Ahhhs music video and a live Pentatonix performance of "Standing By" Avi Kaplan lead from 2016 or so. Then of course if you are looking for content there is Avi's independent work over the last couple of years starting with "Black is the Color of My True Love's Hair" with Peter Hollens another a capella sing off acquaintance besides Home Free and his new folk music (he is now signed with Fantasy Records along with Paul Simon and other folk artists) Change on the Rise is the big music video out from that, it is all layered Avi for the chorus and Kevin's individual work and Kirstin's new release and Superfruit for Mitch and Kevin. It should keep you in content for awhile. 🙂
They have posted recently a number of new videos from their new EP AT HOME. These are all covers and done during quarantine with each person recording separately and then everything edited together. However, this video was done before lock down so they are together in this one.
I have a complaint. One thing didn't change. You are even more stunning and beautiful now. Hashtag I'm happy now. You are more spectacular than you know. Much love Megan.

They're trying to release their first new original album in 5yrs but the because Avi left they had to recreate new music and scrap the old original music because Avi wrote a lot of it and chose not to allow Pentatonix to continue to release it with out him, then the pandemic hit and it affected the release of the New Album! They just released Happy Now about 6wks ago as a teaser to the release of the new album hopefully soon? Also the released a 5 song mini ep called home that they filmed and recorded individually at their own homes then had it edited and produced then released over a 5 week period starting in July! Then today they released another brand new cover song of the song Mad World and it's amazing!
@@gailseatonhumbert9199 apparently it's been stated on fan sites that this was the case after the split? He felt he had just as much say in the music as the others because he helped write it? I don't know all the details....
It makes sense. I remember when they said they were going to be releasing their next original album before summer 2018 and that they had like 50 songs written that they were deciding from, but then a few months later, Avi left and it took them 2 more years to finally introduce Happy Now on tour. That alone tells me all those songs they had to choose from got scrapped. The only reason that would happen is because Avi left and he was one of their biggest composers and writers.
@@kristagerry8505 this is probably primarily gossip. People want a villian in the split up of a loved musical group. It doesn't really sound right though.
You should check out their rendition of "Amazing Grace" which just came out to video. It's the first single from their Christmas album which comes out Friday.

Where did you hear that? That there was a dispute over Avi's work? Why should there be?
