Thank you for this sensible illustration to help me think about where my body is in space and the bonus for the brain's parietal lobe. If one is just sitting throughout the day and looking in one fixed position the brain will lose the connection to the earth.
Is there any in bed proprioception exercises for people who just had a stroke and haven't yet got a well enough strength to do the exercises in standing?
So i had spinal surgery a few months back and my right leg (mainly from the knee and below) suffered heavy proprioception loss from that medical emergency... My right knee has so much trouble trying to do the partial one leg squat, it always gives out or it doesnt have enough "connection" to even get me back up straight. Also my last 3 toes on the same leg literally give out which is very dangerous becuase i can twist or break my toes from my weight. One last thing, my right calf experiences heavy nerve pull when using a bike/cycling during the standing portion of the exercise.
@@CriticalBenchCompound No heavy lifting (weights) or running but im allow to stretch out the body and do most regular exercises, just with caution advice. Though I will try these small but yet effective excercises from now on because they help big time.
And this is exactly why Coach Chris did this video. Often as coaches, people just assume we co do it all, however the truth is that we too work diligently to improve our weaker areas. When we land on a workout, information or something that has been and is proving to be valuable to us we share it on our channel. We are not "show-boaters" ... we are coaches and teachers and that means we are actively engaged in our own learning process and improving.

You’re welcome!
Do you do the balance exercise with the elevated leg straight?

Yes there are ... are you able to sit on the edge of your bed? Or are you asking about exercises that can be done from a lying down position?
Is this can do peple with osteoarthritis?
Try the exercises and see you you do. You may want to have a chair or something you can rest your hand on as an extra measure of caution

Wow! We are so sorry to hear this. Have you been prescribed an exercise protocol by your physician?
