Hi Kevin! Here is the article: bit.ly/30r8fut Although it's written in Chinese, in my blog there is a translation tool that you can use to convert the content into English (I think it's quite accurate)! Let me know if you have any further questions :)))
@@JamiePink Thanks Jamie. I am an incoming Rotman student looking for a studio condo. I found the article to be very informative and you had many useful links in it. Looking forward to your video on house hunting. Please talk about the timing if you can, i.e., what is the best time to look for condos, and the worst time. Thanks again!
Hi Kevin! Welcome! Are you coming to Roman MBA or commerce? Tbh right now is a good time to find places because the rent right now is very low due to COVID. Normally I don’t think there is any specific good timing to do house hunting tho. (Plus I’m also new here)
@@JamiePink Hi Jamie, I am coming to Rotman for MBA. My plan is to move to Toronto at the beginning of July or August. I am currently in Waterloo. I guess what you are saying confirms that I shouldn't delay my condo search any longer lol
Oh that’s great!! Haha well you can take your time to search for it. I think the price won’t change too much before you come so you don’t have to be too worried about it.
Hi Jamie. thanks for sharing great content! I am planning to apply MBA program at Rotman next year too and have a quick question to ask you regarding to career there. I would like to know how supportive the faculty/career development team is? Are they place an importance for students to find permanent job after graduating? Also, would you mind letting me know number of years of your working experience before attending MBA program? Thank you! :)
Hi! I think they are trying their best but I would say there is still room for them to improve. This year so far 36% of our cohort has already secured full-time, and based on the stats for last year, 89% of the students has gotten full-time job by the end of the year they graduated. Before Rotman I have 4 year working experience :)
Probably statistics? But depends on personal strength. If you’re good at numbers then Statistics should be fine to you. I think Economics is more theoretical and Statistics is probably more applicable for work.
@@JamiePink Excellent, thoughtful answer. Of course, my guess is that people generally - as do you - perceive the statistics degree to be notably harder. But it might not be harder for those few numerical geniuses who aren't big readers. So, I agree with your analysis!
Hi Jamie, great video! Is it okay to ask what was your GMAT score? Also, I am a bit surprised that you got offers from Rotman and Mcgill but not from Schulich. I thought comparatively it is easier to get into Schulich.
Hello! My GMAT score is 640. I applied schulich super late so when they offered me an interview I already got admitted to both Rotman and McGill so I just rejected them 😅
Just a small piece of advice, if you pronounce v"i"deo instead of v"ee"deo or d"e"pend instead of d"ee"pend, your pronunciation will sound much better. It is already very good.
Hi Jamie. I like your video very much. I have one question, can MBA help you change your career or jobs? For example, i am an accoutant now, but want to do a totally different job in Canada in the future. Can MBA help with that? In addition, it is probable to find a job with entry level, will MBA become a weakness for HR may think you want a high salary. Thanks.
Oh yeah!! Many people came to MBA for career switch! (Mainly to consulting or finance). Yeah that’s true too. However it all depends on how you sell yourself or how you communicate with them. In my perspective I still think MBA has its value and some industries do value us! Which area are you looking to switch to?
Hi! If I don’t have budget concerns, I would prefer to live off campus since I think the room in grad house is pretty small. The overall decor inside just makes me feel depressed tbh (you could check my previous moving vlog), but it’s just my personal thoughts. Location wise it’s super convenient since it’s very close to Rotman.
You can request the MBA profile on Rotman MBA website. It stats the average salary for MBA graduates. However, it also depends on what type of jobs you’re looking for.
Great video, Jamie! May I ask where is the article on house hunting? And yes, please do a video on house hunting.

Very informative video! Definitely considering applying for the Rotman MBA program in the future.
Glad to hear that:))

Thanks for sharing Jamie 😊
Hehe my pleasure!
Hey! Great video :)
I was wondering, how hard was the MBA program in terms of workload?
great video👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
haha thank you Johnny!
You look more confident when you speak English😊
Haha thanks!

Hi, thanks for the video. It was helpful. Can you please explain the evaluation for grading? Do they have exams?
Yeah MBA has lots of exams just like undergrad!

Ah...I’m not so familiar with insurance, but maybe you can try to reach out to alumni who is in the industry!
Great video! May I ask, did you get any scholarship from Rotman?
Yes I did!
Hey thx for sharing this useful video, may I ask will you recommend MBA in Degroote?
Hi Ophelia, I don’t think I can speak of that since I didn’t study there..maybe you could reach out to people who have their MBA degree at DeGroote?

@@JamiePink 好啦 對不起 我之前不該酸你的。你很正能量,繼續拍影片,有空的話我會點擊的,順便幫你看一點廣告?
Hello Jamie
