I have a theory-I think that next album could be called "whisperer" which is like the opposite of Blurryface, the angel on Tyler's other shoulder. Because sometimes all he hears is a whisper while Blurryface is a scream. I also think that he'll emphasize more about the importance of optimisim although he won't discredit pessimism but he'll still encourage to look at life more positively

He's being put to sleep, I think it's more symbolizing the end of the era rather than something deeper. But the lyrics chosen are indeed related to the hiatus itself. Taking some time off, or as Tyler has said to several people "staying low" or "keeping it low". I honestly rather being surprised by a sudden release when we less expect it than to have a date for it. I think it's very "them" to do it this way and I apreciate it. I loved this video! It covers some great things that actually really make sense. I think maybe like the line of "And now I just sit in silence" is referring to the hiatus and how both the clique and Tyler will be sitting and silence. The clique will have to sit in silence because there is no new music and Tyler is sitting in silence to think, create, and fight. Love your videos professor!

Can I just say that I absolutely love how deep you get with Twenty One Pilots theories and explanations? Like, *yes*. I watch all of your videos on them (and others of course!) but mainly them because this is just my all time favorite band, and I’ve never been able to truly explain why that is to people who asked because I found it hard to form in words how I could relate to the songs and what they meant to me, but then you came along and made it possible, and now whenever people ask I just send them your videos. 💚 Great theory by the way! So let's talk about the logos. In RAB and Vessel, the logo is -I /- representing the connection between your "correct" self and your "incorrect" self. In the first three albums, Tyler talks a lot about switching between the two, most obviously in "Semi-automatic" with the line, "I'm double-sided." But in Blurryface, the lines are separated. |-/ _And_ only the _red_ line is colored. I think this is supposed to represent that your sides are separated, but right now you can only see your "incorrect" side. The lyrics _again_ reflect this. Most of the songs talk about being in your "incorrect" side or yearning to get back to your "correct" side. Now in the Trench era, we have this logo. ||-// The lines are still separated, but now they have friends. I'd thought of this while watching the video, and when I looked up images for the logos, I stumbled on this article where Tyler says the same thing I was thinking. www.altpress.com/news/twenty-one-pilots-trench-band-logo/ We're not alone in our struggles, and we have people who can help us. Now with the color being yellow instead of blue, I think that's because the bishops have never seen yellow before. Blurryface was the other half of a blue and red logo. He knew what blue represented because the two have been together since the logo was made. But yellow's come out of left field. Twenty One Pilots have never used it in any of their aesthetic before, so it fits perfectly. Yes, they also could've used purple or green, but I think yellow looks nicer, so that's probably the main reason. That and, Heathens was orange. Unlike past logos, the Trench logo is all one color. Again, representing a togetherness in the Clique and in the self. While your two sides still feel separated from each other, they're both a part of you. And you're a part of the people around you. This is a pretty long theory but it’s pretty neat! (I think) Okay, I know a lot of videos say that the logo is random. But I’m pretty sure in an old video with Tyler he said it was a kitchen sink. I can’t seem to find the interview that stated this. But, it makes sense, the blue is cold and red is hot. Hot is usually associated with evil or Demons. And like he said, Blue is the negative of red. Blurryface is obviously a demon, Tyler’s demon. Like he said out of line. Tyler once said that Blurryface is all his insecurities balled up into a character that he can sit down and address or confront. Blue being the negative of red, wouldn’t it be angels or good? Blue is the cold , it’s laid back or okay. But there can also be troubles with cold. Colds not perfect. Nothing is. [blue could also, but not likely, be cockiness being over confident in your self] So black is the in between.The previous albums have been Tyler fighting demons. What if the next album isn’t about him fighting demons? What if Tyler’s fine? What if the next album isn’t about Tyler? What if it’s about us, the clique? I know a lot of people say that’s what the dash represents(the clique). Or, what if it’s Tyler helping not us face our battles, but Josh and his battles and demons. I think the next album will be about Tyler helping us directly. (The other albums he was helping us, but not directly, he was fighting for everyone including himself. Now, he’s defeated blurryface. Heres my theory. Kitchen sink is a song about the logo. And purpose. I think the blue is meaning the blue part of a sink, cold. The red being hot. Maybe he closes his eyes on stage and begins thinking. He thinks these dark _and_ light things, but he thinks, and it gives him inspiration, along with his relationship with God.☺😁
If you look at blurry face while its over your face that slash covers your left eye and your mouth. In the videos for blurryface any time tyler was portraying blurry face his eyes were red. The mouth being included could mean that blurry is the one who speaks the pain into existence he "cares what you think" and is willing to tell you what he thinks is wrong with you. I love the concept of the dash being the blinking eye and it being where we're at right now, but also you could think of it as the "Ride" the movement way from blurry face and back to Peace "Peace will win and Fear will lose" (blue- peace/ red- fear) so the black is his constant movement toward death struggling between the two sides and the only way to not pick a side is to be silent. When initially looking at the logo it seems to be moving toward the red line if there's any motion our brain initially picks up when looking at it, but the other two being straight proves the static of being motionless and stuck in the middle and the lack of movement when one is at peace (the red line being blurry trying to constantly pull you away which is why its always slanted). Peace is also found in death which is why I believe the dash is the ride and right now he's just taking his time.
I feel that Blurryface had kinda fast paced tempos bc it represented his thoughts at night. When it comes to night time, you think about all the things you've done in the whole day and all the things you've done while you've lived. And those thoughts zoom by your head fast when it comes to that. So, if the next album is gonna have a lot of slow paced songs, wouldn't it be focusing on certain things he thinks about during the day instead of night? When you wake up in the morning, your thoughts aren't really fast paced, they're just really slow and mellow kind of, and it kind of stays like that as the day goes on. So, will the next album be focused on the pace of his thoughts and what he takes his time to think about ranging from when he wakes up to when he has to go to bed? ...idk, but THATS just a theory...........A TØP THEORY!!! Over the past I've listened a lot more to self-titled (having become a fan in late 2016), and it's REALLY GOOD! When we do get a new album, I sincerely hope it's self-titled style, because I feel the lyrics were a bit more sincere. Hope you notice this!

I think the blue line is about the vessel era because the old logo was on the vessel era and the new logo with the red dash only was about the blurryface era. In the vessel era their name was twenty|one|pilots. In the blurryface era their name was with the dash twenty øne piløts. Plus their name in the vessel era contains two lines. The same thing happens in the bf era (two ø’s). The twenty one pilots name has two e’s.
I agree and follow what you are saying. I think the next album is due to release in Spring 2019 and could be titles Towers. Like you mention, a lot of these songs will probably focus on the message of silence and darkness. Even more so then Blurryface. I'm excited to hear something new from them. I'm guessing they might release a song at the end of August or in September as Fall comes around.

Red is an aggressive and threatening color. I would describe red as a 'loud' color. This could possibly represent Blurryface and his voice. He is heavily represented with red, meaning he is loud and aggresive. Black is a dark but frightening and quiet color, or a silent color. That is where Tyler and Josh are now. They are in the last big struggle and fight before they reach blue. Blue is a calm and soft/comforting color. It isn't as harsh and loud as red nor is it completely silent and frightening like black. Blue is a mellow place that Tøp has and is fighting to reach. I also believe that the eye closing is Blurryface's eye. Blurryface is a part of Tyler that makes him see the world as harsh, or red. The eye closes and everything is black, or silent. When the eye opens again, it will be Tyler's eye. He will (hopefully) see the world in blue and see life in a better perspective. This is just my theory, feel free to add on or even kindly contradict!
I personally think 'Whisperer' will be a new song. Before their song 'Heathens' came out Tyler also posted on Instagram 'heathen' with cryptic messages. The photo that went with the caption was a similar selfie. It's just a theory I have heard and I sort of believe.

I believe that the next album is completely open to anything. The askewed red line is Blurryface, exemplified by the fact that the logo was white besides the red line, so that was the Blurryface era gone. The dash is the hiatus itself, the silence, the darkness, the absence of anything. So I believe the next album is going to be focused on the Blue line, seeing as how Tyler defeated Blurryface, and now we just have to wait and see what happens next
Something interesting that I noticed is that two of the songs (Slowtown and Kitchen Sink) are both from Regional at Best, which Fueled By Ramen de-published. Them using this shows that Fueled By Ramen is now admitting to the existence of these songs for the first time.

This is a lot like what you said about Kitchen Sink. Tyler said that the actual meaning of the O with the / through it is that only he and Josh know the meaning of it. It's a symbol just for them, and it doesn't have to mean something. It means something to Tyler and Josh that it doesn't mean to anyone else, and that meaning is the very fact that no one else knows what it means.
This really makes me think something pretty strongly. Twenty One Pilots is giving us nothing right now but whispers. We're in the silence. But why? Twenty One Pilots got huge, maybe even unwieldly in the mid teens. But Tyler really seems to prefer a smaller more dedicated audience that he can be more intimate with. He always talks at concerts about how he wishes he could talk to and get to know each and every one of his fans. And he's said many times in interviews that one of his main goals with his music is to make people think. This really gives me the feeling that he's putting us in the silence so that the fan base will shrink some as the spotlight moves off of him (as the public eye closes on him) so that when he comes back, his new music will be received by an audience of those who spent the silence going back over the old music and really reflecting on him and getting a lot out of it. An audience who will take a lot more time to really get to know his lyrics than the general public of radio listeners. I think he wants to talk to a certain type of person and he believes that the type of person who would stick around wait for him is that type of person.

I heard a poem today by Tyler Joseph that is called Blurry Line. To me it sounds like it paints the picture of the logo |-/ . He mentioned in the poem that he is standing straight in between a plus and a minus sign. What the lines might mean for him is someone leaning into the dash or minus sign. The side of destruction to self and hurting others. He also said that the + side are those that (from what I understood) were those that are bullied through the internet; the - being the bully? I watch all of your videos on them (and others of course!) but mainly them because this is just my all time favorite band, and I’ve never been able to truly explain why that is to people who asked because I found it hard to form in words how I could relate to the songs and what they meant to me, but then you came along and made it possible, and now whenever people ask I just send them your videos. 💚

So let's talk about the logos. In RAB and Vessel, the logo is -I /- representing the connection between your "correct" self and your "incorrect" self. In the first three albums, Tyler talks a lot about switching between the two, most obviously in "Semi-automatic" with the line, "I'm double-sided."
But in Blurryface, the lines are separated. |-/ _And_ only the _red_ line is colored. I think this is supposed to represent that your sides are separated, but right now you can only see your "incorrect" side. The lyrics _again_ reflect this. Most of the songs talk about being in your "incorrect" side or yearning to get back to your "correct" side.
Now in the Trench era, we have this logo. ||-// The lines are still separated, but now they have friends. I'd thought of this while watching the video, and when I looked up images for the logos, I stumbled on this article where Tyler says the same thing I was thinking. www.altpress.com/news/twenty-one-pilots-trench-band-logo/ We're not alone in our struggles, and we have people who can help us.
Now with the color being yellow instead of blue, I think that's because the bishops have never seen yellow before. Blurryface was the other half of a blue and red logo. He knew what blue represented because the two have been together since the logo was made. But yellow's come out of left field. Twenty One Pilots have never used it in any of their aesthetic before, so it fits perfectly. Yes, they also could've used purple or green, but I think yellow looks nicer, so that's probably the main reason. That and, Heathens was orange.
Unlike past logos, the Trench logo is all one color. Again, representing a togetherness in the Clique and in the self. While your two sides still feel separated from each other, they're both a part of you. And you're a part of the people around you.
I think it's interesting that the way the name is written didn't change. We still have the BlurryO's™ instead of the Bandito E's.

This is a pretty long theory but it’s pretty neat! (I think)
Okay, I know a lot of videos say that the logo is random. But I’m pretty sure in an old video with Tyler he said it was a kitchen sink. I can’t seem to find the interview that stated this. But, it makes sense, the blue is cold and red is hot. Hot is usually associated with evil or Demons. And like he said, Blue is the negative of red. Blurryface is obviously a demon, Tyler’s demon. Like he said out of line. Tyler once said that Blurryface is all his insecurities balled up into a character that he can sit down and address or confront. Blue being the negative of red, wouldn’t it be angels or good? Blue is the cold , it’s laid back or okay. But there can also be troubles with cold. Colds not perfect. Nothing is. [blue could also, but not likely, be cockiness being over confident in your self] So black is the in between.The previous albums have been Tyler fighting demons. What if the next album isn’t about him fighting demons? What if Tyler’s fine? What if the next album isn’t about Tyler? What if it’s about us, the clique? I know a lot of people say that’s what the dash represents(the clique). Or, what if it’s Tyler helping not us face our battles, but Josh and his battles and demons. I think the next album will be about Tyler helping us directly. (The other albums he was helping us, but not directly, he was fighting for everyone including himself. Now, he’s defeated blurryface. He can speak from experience, and help us( or josh)

Heres my theory. Kitchen sink is a song about the logo. And purpose. I think the blue is meaning the blue part of a sink, cold. The red being hot. I agree with you on the "closing his eyes and starts dreaming" thing you said. In Lane Boy he says, "My creativity's only free when I'm playing shows." I think it could be a literal thing. Maybe he closes his eyes on stage and begins thinking. He thinks these dark _and_ light things, but he thinks, and it gives him inspiration, along with his relationship with God.☺😁
If you look at blurry face while its over your face that slash covers your left eye and your mouth. In the videos for blurryface any time tyler was portraying blurry face his eyes were red. The mouth being included could mean that blurry is the one who speaks the pain into existence he "cares what you think" and is willing to tell you what he thinks is wrong with you. I love the concept of the dash being the blinking eye and it being where we're at right now, but also you could think of it as the "Ride" the movement way from blurry face and back to Peace "Peace will win and Fear will lose" (blue- peace/ red- fear) so the black is his constant movement toward death struggling between the two sides and the only way to not pick a side is to be silent. When initially looking at the logo it seems to be moving toward the red line if there's any motion our brain initially picks up when looking at it, but the other two being straight proves the static of being motionless and stuck in the middle and the lack of movement when one is at peace (the red line being blurry trying to constantly pull you away which is why its always slanted). Peace is also found in death which is why I believe the dash is the ride and right now he's just taking his time.
I feel that Blurryface had kinda fast paced tempos bc it represented his thoughts at night. When it comes to night time, you think about all the things you've done in the whole day and all the things you've done while you've lived. And those thoughts zoom by your head fast when it comes to that. So, if the next album is gonna have a lot of slow paced songs, wouldn't it be focusing on certain things he thinks about during the day instead of night? When you wake up in the morning, your thoughts aren't really fast paced, they're just really slow and mellow kind of, and it kind of stays like that as the day goes on. So, will the next album be focused on the pace of his thoughts and what he takes his time to think about ranging from when he wakes up to when he has to go to bed? ...idk, but THATS just a theory...........A TØP THEORY!!! I think the blue line is about the vessel era because the old logo was on the vessel era and the new logo with the red dash only was about the blurryface era. In the vessel era their name was twenty|one|pilots. In the blurryface era their name was with the dash twenty øne piløts. Plus their name in the vessel era contains two lines. The same thing happens in the bf era (two ø’s). The twenty one pilots name has two e’s.

I agree and follow what you are saying. I think the next album is due to release in Spring 2019 and could be titles Towers. Like you mention, a lot of these songs will probably focus on the message of silence and darkness. Even more so then Blurryface. I'm excited to hear something new from them. I'm guessing they might release a song at the end of August or in September as Fall comes around.

Red is an aggressive and threatening color. I would describe red as a 'loud' color. This could possibly represent Blurryface and his voice. He is heavily represented with red, meaning he is loud and aggresive. Black is a dark but frightening and quiet color, or a silent color. That is where Tyler and Josh are now. They are in the last big struggle and fight before they reach blue. Blue is a calm and soft/comforting color. It isn't as harsh and loud as red nor is it completely silent and frightening like black. Blue is a mellow place that Tøp has and is fighting to reach. I also believe that the eye closing is Blurryface's eye. Blurryface is a part of Tyler that makes him see the world as harsh, or red. The eye closes and everything is black, or silent. When the eye opens again, it will be Tyler's eye. He will (hopefully) see the world in blue and see life in a better perspective. This is just my theory, feel free to add on or even kindly contradict!

U know, when I first saw the logo, I thought the blue symbolizes Tyler and Josh and the red is Blurryface and the Clique was the black dash. I thought it meant the clique was helping Tyler through his insecurities and Josh with his Axitey.

I believe that the next album is completely open to anything. The askewed red line is Blurryface, exemplified by the fact that the logo was white besides the red line, so that was the Blurryface era gone. The dash is the hiatus itself, the silence, the darkness, the absence of anything. So I believe the next album is going to be focused on the Blue line, seeing as how Tyler defeated Blurryface, and now we just have to wait and see what happens next
Something interesting that I noticed is that two of the songs (Slowtown and Kitchen Sink) are both from Regional at Best, which Fueled By Ramen de-published. Them using this shows that Fueled By Ramen is now admitting to the existence of these songs for the first time.

This is a lot like what you said about Kitchen Sink.
Tyler said that the actual meaning of the O with the / through it is that only he and Josh know the meaning of it. It's a symbol just for them, and it doesn't have to mean something.
It means something to Tyler and Josh that it doesn't mean to anyone else, and that meaning is the very fact that no one else knows what it means.
Little note- the tøp logo is different, but the main idea is still there (: love your stuff man
Another thought to "Whisper" back in 2007 Tyler realised an album (No Phun Intended) and he had a song called "Whisper"
This really makes me think something pretty strongly. Twenty One Pilots is giving us nothing right now but whispers. We're in the silence. But why? Twenty One Pilots got huge, maybe even unwieldly in the mid teens. But Tyler really seems to prefer a smaller more dedicated audience that he can be more intimate with. He always talks at concerts about how he wishes he could talk to and get to know each and every one of his fans. And he's said many times in interviews that one of his main goals with his music is to make people think. This really gives me the feeling that he's putting us in the silence so that the fan base will shrink some as the spotlight moves off of him (as the public eye closes on him) so that when he comes back, his new music will be received by an audience of those who spent the silence going back over the old music and really reflecting on him and getting a lot out of it. An audience who will take a lot more time to really get to know his lyrics than the general public of radio listeners. I think he wants to talk to a certain type of person and he believes that the type of person who would stick around wait for him is that type of person.

I cant remember where I saw it but I read that Tyler said the logo was meant to represent, | was meant to be who you are before a specific event. - was you falling flat on your face (or giving up). / is who you are after the event. You aren't going to be the same after some sort of struggle, but you can come back to some sort of self.
I feel like Blue is the hope or goal, the dash is the journey, and the red slash is Blurryface impeding in someway.
There is a lot of blue in regional at best, and that was their first album in their Fueled By Ramen era. I have no idea if it has any connection, just a thought i said
I heard a poem today by Tyler Joseph that is called Blurry Line. To me it sounds like it paints the picture of the logo |-/ . He mentioned in the poem that he is standing straight in between a plus and a minus sign. What the lines might mean for him is someone leaning into the dash or minus sign. The side of destruction to self and hurting others. He also said that the + side are those that (from what I understood) were those that are bullied through the internet; the - being the bully? I'm not exactly sure, but I think -/ means to fall away or to be in a depressed state; to self-harm etc.

With the new yellow version of the logo, there are two ||, one -, and two //. An original theory pointed to one of them being the blue line and the other being red, and if the red line is blurryface, it seems as if they both are blurryface and the they are also both the "sane" blue line. Maybe this album will have some of Josh's demon's or similar blurryface on it?
