Let me tell you no one could ever convince me that ALL these people are choosing to be homeless 💯 NO ONE!!! I seen several documentaries were people are working 40 hours a week and still homeless.
They are choosing it. You can work 1 job anywhere and afford a room. All jobs let you take home $2400 a month at 40 hours a week. 1k for room , 1k for expenses. About $400 left over a month. Not much but they don’t have to be homeless.
@@drblitz3092 nope. probably EVERY decent AND squalid property requires 3x the rent for income, EVEN FOR rooms. You dont know ANYTHING and should be ASHAMED OF YOURSELF. also, if you start a new job you dont see this $2400 for the first MONTH. you are HOMELESS for the first month, at LEAST. paying for housing applications, AND hotels. THIS is how MOST americans become homeless--fully employed and stuck without a place to stay because landlords are evil.
One difference between Skidrow and Kensington is you don't see as many people with wounds from tranq dope.regardless, there's still way too many people suffering.
JayWalkin, I have been a sub for a long time & it has been good to watch your sub numbers grow, Skid Row sure looks like it has really spread & grown in recent years. Thank you for the uploads & try to stay safe Bro.
Those poor animals. If you're forced to live like an animal, why would you assume responsibility for an extra 1 to feed and care for? That's abuse in itself😢
The. companionship & love for their animal is sometimes the only thing some of these poor people have to live for. Women are constantly raped on Skid Row so a dog can help with safety.
I agree am a retired veterinarian technician and why would you have a dog with you and you can’t even feed yourself dogs are a big responsibility my friend
I'll say 80/20 Because these People are making a choice, but the Officials should of NEVER let this get this Far. So 80% I blame on the people not wanting help n the Upper Hand Letting this get to Far Gone.
I can't believe he finally strolled up fourth street where I got to see a friend of mine (Texas) aka Tee next to the People's Concern @ 8:40. Thank You. I myself use to have a ⛺ tent there. It was really good seeing the ol block again. Definitely one of the cleanest one's. Good to see it still is, but sorry to see my friends are still there. Tee if you see this: I'm wishing you and Cam the best and I'll try to get back there to visit you guys 🥹.
They are supposed to leave during the day. Then they clean the area. But maybe that has changed I haven't been down there in a while. There is a shelter that provides them things.
All they do is wander aimlessly all day and night and fight with each other. So much energy goes into nothing. Hell they could’ve worked an eight hour shift with the amount of time spent walking the streets.
I've lived in Los Angeles all my life and the problem is worse now. What I'm seeing people have clean clothes, shoes, smoking on cell phones, some even with new tents. Before when I would go to skid row most people didn't have this. The people are getting some kinds of assistance, but that's just putting a band aid on the issue.
Rents in London aren´t that much lower than LA, I think they are even higher. How come LA has such a massive homeless problem when many big cities seem to have less homeless? Is there a shortage of housing in LA? Is drugs the problem? Or are LA homeless just more visible than others?
London almost puts out more in social welfare then we do in America...there is A LOT of allotted housing in the UK while our budgets get cut annually...thus making less affordable housing..nevermind corporate greed and property "values"...😢
Definitely energetic beings spiritual in nature play a huge role in this eventually they will have to declare state of emergency to clean up the streets as it is a health hazard to it’s citizens.
So many of these folks aren’t even from Los Angeles. Other states offer their homeless people bus tickets to LA. If you watch some of the interviews from Skid Row, so many aren’t from LA or even from California. If you had to be homeless in Indiana or be homeless in LA, I think most would choose LA.

There’s one thing this video doesn’t express to you and that’s the stench. I’ve been up and down these streets with you on this video and seen couple hundred people I think I’ve seen one porta job. It was so covered with flies. I thought it was actually moving where do these people wash and shower at, where do they wash their clothes? The smell of this place must be unbelievable And it’s only gonna get worse God save this nation
Such an uneducated response, have you not noticed that a lot of democratic cities are located along the coast? Do you think a lot of unhoused people really want to live in inhospitable environments? And I understand that many democratic cities have a lot of programs to help people who are struggling. Thanks for your empathy.
I haven't heard ONE republican politician give any actual solutions have you? Throw them in overcrowded jail? Move them somewhere else? Where? There's a mental health epidemic in this country and all some people want to do is see people already suffering, suffer more..let's hear it..
@@JayWalkinTV it’s only gotten worse since newsome has been govenor there’s 2.1 billion dollars that’s unaccounted for due to “homeless research “ with no research being conducted. That’s going into politicians money. Think use your little brain my boy

Yes, that would be about 5% of all homeless. Unfortunately for the working homeless, they are grouped in with all the drug addicts.

Absolutely..a lot of them have other living options..and ..everyone down there doesn't live there...nobody forcing anyone to use drugs either
And....Los Angeles is an easy place to be homeless.if you must

Maybe if you could make the homeless problem into a sport; you might really have the answer....
We are to blame, buy foreign cars and products did this, took decades

This is California.. there is no Winter

You really ask that question??? The druggies are to blame.
And the dealers too.
