You're welcome :) We have had trouble with our new camera but I think we finally figured it out. I plan on several videos showing HOW to use dehydrated foods. So stay tuned!

Yes! I use my oven a lot when I have too much to dry all at once :) My oven has 3 shelves to it too instead of 2, so I'm very thankful for that :)

Do you blanch your celery first

No, I have never felt the need to and it turns out fine. If I wanted something to be pristine green and perfect, I would. But my celery goes into food and is mixed in and looks fine, so I have never blanched it. I do blanch my carrots if I do slices or dices, but not for shredded carrots.

Thanks, busy life here, appreciate the info, but I don't have 20 something minutes to watch somebody cut up celery. You should learn how to make your videos shorter and more. Good information. Thank you

I can appreciate that. But I also have people asking me to go even slower than I do, because they have never done anything like this before and everyone on youtube goes too fast for them. I try and do the middle ground.
There is the option at the bottom of the video to speed up the video...

Clearly you didn't watch the whole video, because cutting the celery was a small part of the instructions. There are lots of people who don't know the kind of basic cooking details she gave and they will benefit from them. A young man staying with me was throwing out whole onions because there was a brown layer inside. I showed him how to remove the bad part and keep the rest, he was amazed.

@@christyh.4092 Thank you. That's exactly why I explain so much. I'm a former nurse and spec ed teacher, I know most people need to be taught basic info.
