Yunjin's songs are so relatable and always hits hard- For her, I think it's her way of expressing that she is grateful to her fans but at times has a fear of letting them down and wanting to be "that girl". It can also relate to us wanting to be our idols but she teaches us that we can get inspiration from them but at the same time stay true to ourselves which include our own personality, weakness, and strengths. Yes, so very true. I loved how the character took the pink crayons but eventually became their own colour, green! because they didn't have to be exactly like her and found their own beautiful colour! I also saw it as though, the green girl is portrayed as a "normal person / fan" throughout the video, but at the end is revealed as an Idol herself, and everything leading up to it shows that idols are not perfect and have insecurities themselves trying to live up to the perfect image they see other idols portray. For all we know the green character could represent Yunjin and her struggle for self-confidence.

i think it’s interesting how she sings in english when talking about this other girl, but when she talks about herself she sings mostly in korean. it reminds of something i read that it’s easier to talk about stuff you went through in your second language, and since she grew up in the US, maybe it’s the case for her with korean! idk i just think it’s interesting 🥺💞

Not directed solely at you but I think it’s ridiculous you think hybe has to “allow” her to make her own music … it’s literally encouraged. All the way from BTS, to seventeen officially having their first subunit debut they started as a joke, to txt, to yunjin.

@@googoo725yea uh idk how you somehow managed to turn the op's comment into an attack on hybe even if its not "solely directed" to them lol it's just that obviously in the past its been hard for idols to have this same artistic freedom and be fully supported by their companies and while hybe may have been that way like you said there were countless other agencies that weren't. yes maybe some idols did release solo music but not without restraint or infighting for creative control by their companies. so yea theres my 2 cents.
@@googoo725 women don't really get this level of creative freedom in the industry tho lol, especially this soon after debut--svt and bts have also been in entirely different companies for most of their careers, and both of them are Not Great at managing women (see: glam, pristin, afterschool gaeun, etc). hybe didn't even accept female trainees after glam's downfall and sent all their current ones at the time to soumu for gfriend lol. it's definitely a huge step for bighit/hybe to do this considering their history.

i think it’s interesting how she sings in english when talking about this other girl, but when she talks about herself she sings mostly in korean. it reminds of something i read that it’s easier to talk about stuff you went through in your second language, and since she grew up in the US, maybe it’s the case for her with korean! idk i just think it’s interesting 🥺💞

it's so nice in i/=doll she reached out to comfort other idols, and in this release she is trying to speak about the mundane troubles of social ideals for a normal person. yunjin is for sure going to change the industry. these daily practices impacts a person's overall health.

Being listening on repeat and suddenly I realized, these lyrics are all the things I want to say, but the mere thought of saying it out loud makes me cringe for some reason. I can't imagine how difficult it would have been for her to not just write, but also sing and release such private and sensitive thoughts :(

Maybe this song is about the effort of becoming an idol and having to go through hate, depression, ignorance, jealousy, and sadness. Before the end, the green girl (yunjin) waves at the pink girl, maybe saying goodbye to the perfect yunjin and saying hello to the real yunjin. In the end, The real yunjin goes on stage and embarks on her journey as an idol. (this is my theory)
