Creating My First Animation Using Cascadeur And Rendering It In Iclone 8

  • To test out Cascadeur, I made a quick jumping animation and applied it to a character in iClone 8. With more practice, I should get much better at it.

    The hold is great and has a nice buildup to the attack, and so it's quite a shame that the jump is so underwhelming. There's little wrong with the body mechanics, but the move in itself is what's ruining the rest of the animation. It's a completely twinned pose, arms going out exactly the same amount as each other and the legs as well, making a symmetrical X. It'd be more interesting if she did a regular roll onto the ground so that she rolls over one of her shoulders during the roll. Then you could still have her stop into the same idle pose as you got in the last shot.
