Thanks for coming back and showing us how to attach the blower to the stem part. I did see other videos that Toro sent the you tuber the kit for free. They showed it this way.
Thanks for this. Just tried mine for the first time today. Whew, "awkward" yeah, you're not kidding. Grabbed this kit along with a new Toro electric 51619...so the extension cord, plug in...adding this long attachment is...well a pain in the a** so far. The gutter over my bay window, about 9, 10 ft high from my driveway, not a big deal..plus I cleaned that regularly with my old 11 year old Toro (and a ladder), until that Toro died a few weeks ago. BUT the gutter on the top of my home, a 2 story. Thats the challenge, today at least. I realize this only extends 11ft. So i'm using a ladder, going up 10, 12ft..then I'm able to reach the top gutter which it really bad....caked in chucks of dirt, slop. Anyway, eventually did loosen a lot of it..still have to get up there since I don't think its 100% cleaned out. (Thinking getting MORE hoses would make handing this a lot harder) But in the end, just handling the long hose AND getting the right angle into that gutter was a struggle - also the extension cord kept coming out, unplugging the blower. Damn, what a comedy of errors..lol. Perhaps the more I use it, the easier....or somewhat easier it will work.
Thank you! I just bought a toro leaf blower and gutter kit and have spent 2 hours trying to Igor’s out the terrible instructions. I now believe I can put it together and make it work. Toro’s instructions are worse than awful.
So, if you have to get up there anyway with a ladder what is the point. I wanted to see verification of the level of cleaning. So, maybe adding that - getting up on ladder to show in this video would be a great verification that it indeed did cleaned 100% leaves with maybe 20% grit still left. Some measure of efficiency. Before and after.
So if I bought two kits to reach my 24' high gutters, do you suppose I would lose too much blower power? I'm just thinking you'd lose significant blower strength after a certain crazy length, wouldn't you?
@@g4outdoors - Thanks for your quick reply. Wow! You're answer isn't what I wanted to hear, but I know you're right. I'm actually considering this Gutter Clutter Buster Kit. It costs a fortune, but I think it'd be worth it for my situation, plus it will fit my Ridgid Vac and I can make it fit my corded leaf blower if needed. I've noticed mixed reviews on the pricey GCB kit, but most of the negatives are from people using very underpowered shop vacs . I'm going to go ahead and order it, as I'm just too busy to be building something from PVC 😊. Peace.
@@PureBlood42 I plan to do the same thing. I feel the pieces are stiff enough, but I can't find out if anyone has had success with combing two kits. What could be the downside?
@@guymandudely324 - I don't know. I never got anything put together. If the weather holds out, I'll probably go with a PVC contraption of some sort, because it's inexpensive. At least I've got a good ladder so I can gain a bit of reach.
@@PureBlood42 That was my thought until I lifted up a 10-ft section of PVC. It's heavy and NOT inexpensive. Someone is selling a used Toro kit for next to nothing, so I thought it would be worth a try. I'm not scared of heights, but you know that when you turn on the Toro, the air flow pushes against the target. Not sure being on a ladder and fighting with a gutter cleaner is a good idea - hahaha
A far superior product is the gas powered echo blower, along with their gutter cleaning kit. It's very powerful, very effective, and I'm able to do it one man very easily. In fact you can really feel the power of the blower resisting you as you hold the extension up to the gutter. My humble opinion.
You're comparing apples to oranges there bud. Check out my previous video on this cleaning kit. I think the gas powered Sthil br 800 is a far superior blower than your Echo. My humble opinion.
Randy, that's exactly why we love your channel. Because you're honest enough to do a follow up video to make things right. Thanks for that.
I stand behind all of my reviews, so I have that obligation to be as honest and truthful as I can. Thanks Sam!!

I think that any good "reviewer" owes it to the audience to be as truthful as possible. Thanks for the comment!

Can you use this with the vacuum feature rather than the blower?

What’s the best leaf blower to use with this product?

Will you get electrocuted if you accidentally hit an electric wire?

You would still have the same volume of air, but the rigidity would be awful. I wouldn’t recommend it lol.
