Raga alapana was full of life.
Mad Rasana is giving us great joy by presenting us these beautiful compositions by such wonderful artists. Please ensure the room/dias/podium is well ventilated and the temperature is maintained at a pleasant degree so that no one sweats while performing.
Again a great presentation on such an unusual topic. Flower which is very very common in our daily life but came to know about the divine stories behind that so well explained by Vinay with his usual extraordinary research and unique way of explaining ably supported by great vocal team of Srirangam Venkatnagarajan. Thanks for bringing out such classic presentation 🎉

Even I. lookedup on the internet. He is a desciple of stalwarts like Ms. Ambujam Vedantam and also learnt under Legends like Sangeetha kalanidhi Dr. S.Ramanathan !! He is a Phd Scholar in HR in IIT chennai it seems. Kudos to this youngster. Overall a very nice concert..

"Chethashri Balakrishnam bhajare" is the true Dwiajavanthi song by Muthuswami Dikshithar who among the trinity -- Thyagarajaswami and Shyaamaa Shaastri being the other two -- was the only one who travelled all over India to personally visit temples and write songs on those deities. He ended up in Kashi -- Varanasi -- and came across the Hindustani raga Jai Jai Vanti which he brought back to Thiruvaroor and composed this song in Dwijavanthi -- Jai Jai make "Two" and thus "Dwi" -- now we are all happy to listen to this lovely song. Akhilandeswari, a popular song in Dwijavanti is not really a Muthuswami Dikshithar. Sahitya is lovley; however, experts question the authenticity of awarding the ownership of this song to Dikshithar. No matter, that song is also pleasing to listen. The all time popular Madurai Mani Iyer, the mahavidwan, never sang Akhilandeswari in any of his thousands of kutcheris all across S India. MDR too never handled Dwijavanthi songs we are talking about. I wonder why. Who knows there exists a rasika who has heard the great MDR sing it. Like this format of presentation where Indian classical music is presented in the background of certain context or concept. This episode and previous ones were excellent both in narration and rendition ❤

Excellent program , where the young promising singer , Sri Venkatanaagarsjan performed beautifully ! It was beyond my expectation ! The commentator , Sri Vinay Varanasi gave an amazing explanation , how the flowers play an important role in taking the Bhaktha to reach the Almighty & get the blessings of Gods & Goddesses ! Various instances were referred to , such as Gajendra Moksham, Arjuna's vows to kill Jayadratha in the KURUKSHETRA WAR between KAURAVAS & PANDAVAS , when his son ABHIMANYU was killed brutally ! Lord Krishna takes him to ĶAILASA where a Shiva Linga is found & Arjuna is asked by Krishna to worship Shiva with BILVA PATRA chanting BILVASHTAKA ! Lord Shiva is pleased & grants Arjuna , several powerful weapons which could give Arjuna thr required SHAKTHI to kill JAYADRATHA , who was responsible for stopping Yudhishtira & brothers from entering the CHAKRAVYUHA ! Likewise Devi Katyayani is worshipped, singing Neelothpalambike using Nidile flowers ! This concept looks fantadtic & touches heart ! ❤😂🎉
