Sister, the oral tradition of reciting the Quran goes back to the time of Prophet Muhammad until today, unbroken for well over 1,400 years. Today, over a hundred million Muslims have memorized the Quran from cover to cover. That is a miracle in itself. The little girl is so adorable.
It’s a big issue,memorizing without knowing the meaning! Many Muslim youth complain that they were asked to memorize the Quran from childhood in Arabic a language they never studied,they hear only the sound but don’t know the meaning! If they ask for the meaning,the parents would warn them! That’s dangerous,that’s is why many youth leave Islam when they study the Quran fully by themselves when they are grown 😢

Pray for ease. Always recite "Rabbi srahli sadri..." first everytime you try to memorize. Search for the whole dua in case you don't know it yet. May Allah give you ease and may you memorize the whole Quran long before you die.
I liked the little girl, because she memorized Surah Al-Mutaffifin, a difficult Surah, but she master it!! May Allah made her a good offspring for her father and mother. We have to encourage our children to memorize the Qur'an, because memorizing at that young age is easy and remains engraved in the mind.
She may not know the meaning! Simply memorizing doesn’t help ! Many grown up Muslim still don’t know the meaning of Quran verses! They complain,they were taught to memorize in Arabic and they hear only the sound,not the meaning!
At least better than many priests who do not memorize their book, whereas in Islam we have young children, at the age of six, who memorize the entire Qur'an. Understanding comes after that little by little, when their minds mature, and some of them become experts in the sciences of the Qur'an.

Every muslim knows some parts of the quran if not in its entirety. We must! It's because we use the verses in our5 times a day prayers. Meaning if you find one muslim who cannot recite at least the al fatiha she or he is not a muslim. To be a muslim you must perform the daily prayers. simple as that..

the difference is Muslim have to know their Qur'an to recite in every 5 times daily prayer. But for the Christians, they are as same as the layman, Bible only access for their priest or pastor. Bible recite in Sunday service by their priest and their pastor.

From the time of its revelation to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) until today, the Quran has been preserved in its entirety. The companions of the Prophet Muhammad SAW played a pivotal role in ensuring its preservation. They memorized the Quran, wrote it down, and passed it on to subsequent generations.
The Messenger (Muhammad SAW) believes in what has been sent down to him from his Lord, and (so do) the believers. Each one believes in Allah, His Angels, His Books, and His Messengers. They say, "We make no distinction between one another of His Messengers" - and they say, "We hear, and we obey. (We seek) Your Forgiveness, our Lord, and to You is the return (of all)." Allah burdens not a person beyond his scope. He gets reward for that (good) which he has earned, and he is punished for that (evil) which he has earned. "Our Lord! Punish us not if we forget or fall into error, our Lord! Lay not on us a burden like that which You did lay on those before us (Jews and Christians); our Lord! Put not on us a burden greater than we have strength to bear. Pardon us and grant us Forgiveness. Have mercy on us. You are our Maula (Patron, Suppor-ter and Protector, etc.) and give us victory over the disbelieving people. Holy Quran ❤

On the Day of Resurrection, the first thing he will be asked about his prayer, if his prayer is upright, all his deeds will be upright. But not that prayer in the church. the prophets prayer like Muslims.

Allah's Curse be on them, how they are deluded away from the truth! ﴿اتَّخَذُوا أَحْبَارَهُمْ وَرُهْبَانَهُمْ أَرْبَابًا مِّن دُونِ اللَّهِ وَالْمَسِيحَ ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ وَمَا أُمِرُوا إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُوا إِلَٰهًا وَاحِدًا ۖ لَّا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۚ سُبْحَانَهُ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ﴾ [ التوبة: 31] They (Jews and Christians) took their rabbis and their monks to be their lords besides Allah (by obeying them in things which they made lawful or unlawful according to their own desires without being ordered by Allah), and (they also took as their Lord) Messiah, son of Maryam (Mary), while they (Jews and Christians) were commanded [in the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)) to worship none but One Ilah (God - Allah) La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He). Praise and glory be to Him, (far above is He) from having the partners they associate (with Him)." ﴿يُرِيدُونَ أَن يُطْفِئُوا نُورَ اللَّهِ بِأَفْوَاهِهِمْ وَيَأْبَى اللَّهُ إِلَّا أَن يُتِمَّ نُورَهُ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ الْكَافِرُونَ﴾ [ التوبة: 32] They (the disbelievers, the Jews and the Christians) want to extinguish Allah's Light (with which Muhammad SAW has been sent - Islamic Monotheism) with their mouths, but Allah will not allow except that His Light should be perfected even though the Kafirun (disbelievers) hate (it). ﴿هُوَ الَّذِي أَرْسَلَ رَسُولَهُ بِالْهُدَىٰ وَدِينِ الْحَقِّ لِيُظْهِرَهُ عَلَى الدِّينِ كُلِّهِ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ الْمُشْرِكُونَ﴾ [ التوبة: 33] It is He Who has sent His Messenger (Muhammad SAW) with guidance and the religion of truth (Islam), to make it superior over all religions even though the Mushrikun (polytheists, pagans, idolaters, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah) hate (it). When my nephew could not spell his name, we taught him how to sing it and he remembered it instantly. Songs are easy to recite. Muslims are singing the Quran so it is easy to remember.They are also singing it in Arabic and not their native language so you have to wonder if they really understand what they are singing.
Reciting it not singing. And we know the arabic and what the words mean. And those who don't they still know to not setup partners with Allah unlike the Christians who see the verses where Jesus said God is One God and still say God is 1 of 3

Forgive me if anyone is offended but Allah says in Qur'an "This is the Book, in it is Guidance for those conscious of Allah (Sura 2:1) ... and Truth is Clear from Falsehood (2:256) ... and Remind, the REMINDER Benefits the Believer (51:55) Hadith: "the one who learns and understands (lives) one verse of Qur'an is far more superior than reciting 700 verses of Qur'an!

Al-Hawariun (the disciples) said: "We are the helpers of Allah; we believe in Allah, and bear witness that we are Muslims (i.e. we submit to Allah)." Our Lord! We believe in what You have sent down, and we follow the Messenger ['Iesa (Jesus)]; so write us down among those who bear witness (to the truth i.e. La ilaha ill-Allah - none has the right to be worshipped but Allah). And they (disbelievers) plotted [to kill 'Iesa (Jesus)], and Allah planned too. And Allah is the Best of the planners. And (remember) when Allah said: "O 'Iesa (Jesus)! I will take you and raise you to Myself and clear you [of the forged statement that 'Iesa (Jesus) is Allah's son] of those who disbelieve, and I will make those who follow you (Monotheists, who worship none but Allah) superior to those who disbelieve [in the Oneness of Allah, or disbelieve in some of His Messengers, e.g. Muhammad SAW, 'Iesa (Jesus), Musa (Moses), etc., or in His Holy Books, e.g. the Taurat (Torah), the Injeel (Gospel), the Quran] till the Day of Resurrection. Then you will return to Me and I will judge between you in the matters in which you used to dispute." "As to those who disbelieve, I will punish them with a severe torment in this world and in the Hereafter, and they will have no helpers." And as for those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah) and do righteous good deeds, Allah will pay them their reward in full. And Allah does not like the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers). the difference is Muslim have to know their Qur'an to recite in every 5 times daily prayer. But for the Christians, they are as same as the layman, Bible only access for their priest or pastor. Bible recite in Sunday service by their priest and their pastor.

From the time of its revelation to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) until today, the Quran has been preserved in its entirety. The companions of the Prophet Muhammad SAW played a pivotal role in ensuring its preservation. They memorized the Quran, wrote it down, and passed it on to subsequent generations.

The Messenger (Muhammad SAW) believes in what has been sent down to him from his Lord, and (so do) the believers. Each one believes in Allah, His Angels, His Books, and His Messengers. They say, "We make no distinction between one another of His Messengers" - and they say, "We hear, and we obey. (We seek) Your Forgiveness, our Lord, and to You is the return (of all)."
Allah burdens not a person beyond his scope. He gets reward for that (good) which he has earned, and he is punished for that (evil) which he has earned. "Our Lord! Punish us not if we forget or fall into error, our Lord! Lay not on us a burden like that which You did lay on those before us (Jews and Christians); our Lord! Put not on us a burden greater than we have strength to bear. Pardon us and grant us Forgiveness. Have mercy on us. You are our Maula (Patron, Suppor-ter and Protector, etc.) and give us victory over the disbelieving people.

(64) Say, "O People of the Scripture, come to a word that is equitable between us and you - that we will not worship except Allāh and not associate anything with Him and not take one another as lords instead of Allāh."[128] But if they turn away, then say, "Bear witness that we are Muslims [submitting to Him]."

And the Jews say: 'Uzair (Ezra) is the son of Allah, and the Christians say: Messiah is the son of Allah. That is a saying from their mouths. They imitate the saying of the disbelievers of old. Allah's Curse be on them, how they are deluded away from the truth!
﴿اتَّخَذُوا أَحْبَارَهُمْ وَرُهْبَانَهُمْ أَرْبَابًا مِّن دُونِ اللَّهِ وَالْمَسِيحَ ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ وَمَا أُمِرُوا إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُوا إِلَٰهًا وَاحِدًا ۖ لَّا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۚ سُبْحَانَهُ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ﴾
[ التوبة: 31]
They (Jews and Christians) took their rabbis and their monks to be their lords besides Allah (by obeying them in things which they made lawful or unlawful according to their own desires without being ordered by Allah), and (they also took as their Lord) Messiah, son of Maryam (Mary), while they (Jews and Christians) were commanded [in the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)) to worship none but One Ilah (God - Allah) La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He). Praise and glory be to Him, (far above is He) from having the partners they associate (with Him)."
﴿يُرِيدُونَ أَن يُطْفِئُوا نُورَ اللَّهِ بِأَفْوَاهِهِمْ وَيَأْبَى اللَّهُ إِلَّا أَن يُتِمَّ نُورَهُ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ الْكَافِرُونَ﴾
[ التوبة: 32]
They (the disbelievers, the Jews and the Christians) want to extinguish Allah's Light (with which Muhammad SAW has been sent - Islamic Monotheism) with their mouths, but Allah will not allow except that His Light should be perfected even though the Kafirun (disbelievers) hate (it).
﴿هُوَ الَّذِي أَرْسَلَ رَسُولَهُ بِالْهُدَىٰ وَدِينِ الْحَقِّ لِيُظْهِرَهُ عَلَى الدِّينِ كُلِّهِ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ الْمُشْرِكُونَ﴾
[ التوبة: 33]
It is He Who has sent His Messenger (Muhammad SAW) with guidance and the religion of truth (Islam), to make it superior over all religions even though the Mushrikun (polytheists, pagans, idolaters, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah) hate (it).

When my nephew could not spell his name, we taught him how to sing it and he remembered it instantly. Songs are easy to recite. I will take you and raise you to Myself and clear you [of the forged statement that 'Iesa (Jesus) is Allah's son] of those who disbelieve, and I will make those who follow you (Monotheists, who worship none but Allah) superior to those who disbelieve [in the Oneness of Allah, or disbelieve in some of His Messengers, e.g. Muhammad SAW, 'Iesa (Jesus), Musa (Moses), etc., or in His Holy Books, e.g. the Taurat (Torah), the Injeel (Gospel), the Quran] till the Day of Resurrection. Then you will return to Me and I will judge between you in the matters in which you used to dispute."
"As to those who disbelieve, I will punish them with a severe torment in this world and in the Hereafter, and they will have no helpers."
And as for those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah) and do righteous good deeds, Allah will pay them their reward in full. And Allah does not like the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers).
