I feel like when I was a kid in the 90’s the tubs were actually metal tins and they were huge filled to the brim. Felt like a true Christmas luxury treat 🍬
Quality Street followed by Roses for me. I'm personally don't see the point of mini version of chocolate bars that are already available all year round.
We might all have our favourites, but I think we can all agree shrinkflation when it comes to chocolate is an absolute travesty. Confectionary companies are so out of touch with consumers to think shrinkflation is the best way to go when you have to increase prices. And then having the cheek to claim its partly health related.
Why weren't you just born rich? You'd appreciate cap ita lism more if it gave you the power of life and death over the wor king class, like billio naires have
1:16 childhood memory unlocked. When I was a lad, our little poodle used to pinch the toffee pennies. Mum always ended up fishing the last bits that got stuck between his teeth.
17:30 eclairs aren’t meant to be bitten/chewed!!! they’re a melting candy. the chocolate gets warm and fudgy, it’s so good. just suck on it for a while or leave it under your tongue.
i don’t understand why they’d remove the galaxy truffle from celebrations AND then not sell a solo truffle bar at all. that flavor profile is just completely gone (apart from one year during easter, they released DELICIOUS truffle squares that looked like mini presents)
I don't buy any of the tubs these days as most of them never get eaten. I buy a large box of Black Magic chocolate at Christmas but rarely eat chocolate the rest of the year. I agree with you about Nestlé milk chocolate but I do like their dark chocolate. Unfortunately I am unable to eat M&S chocolate of any sort as every time I've eaten it I have had a migraine afterwards and that includes their chocolate biscuits 😢Love your videos BTW.
Did you feel sick after all that chocolate? Some chocolates have to be eaten by sucking the outer layer of chocolate first. If you do this with malteaser the inner part dissolves deliciously on your tongue. But I couolnt eat so many at once. A herculean effort!
Im going for the m&s big mix this year. The shiny wrapper swings it .I appreciate the environmental benefits of the dull ones but its just not christmassy. Im tempted to tip them into an old retro quality street tin and pretend im ten years old again.
Toffee penny used to be my favourite as a child. In adulthood I discovered the purple one and green triangle. No going back. Always preferred Dairy Milk and Roses to Quality Street 😋
Just depends on personal tastes I guess, They really do make these tubs for everyone, My favourites are the Strawberry and orange creams and the orange chocolate crisp. And a toffy penny
Celebrations are literally just mini chocolate bars. This is probably why the discontinued the S++++ Tier Galaxy Truffle as the others are made year round whereas the truffles only made for the tubs.
Uhhh quality streets. Love the fudge, the green triangles and a few others. I’m also more of a Lindt chocolate girl so Christmas Santa or reindeer-rabbit.
Thanks for comparing the chocolate boxes. I think I prefer the Cadbury chocolates to the Quality Street to be honest. Having had many years of trying various different chocolates I must say I think I prefer them! It's a shame that Lidl or Aldi don't do like a big selection tub. A few years back someone gave me a gift of a tub from Morrisons which was their own brand and not bad at all!
Quality street is ironically garbage, I don’t really eat chocolate that much, not really a sweet tooth but I probably would go with Heroes or Celebrations.
Celebrations were always the best, followed by Heroes, Roses then Street, Nestle just like everything Nestle do, kinda sucks (And an even bigger crime than all the awful crimes is not putting a fucking Kit Kat in) then they slowly removed all of the best ones, topic went first, then galaxy truffle, then they did something weird with the malteesers if memory serves. Honestly upgraded to an actual chocolatier these days, don't miss the cheap stuff, especially as it's not even that cheap anymore. However truly the ultimate was getting one of each and just mixing them all lol
Sam bringing the Christmas video's by the barrel load happy days although have to hard disagree with you, I heavily dislike fudge so none would be in my S tier and don't like any Strawberry flavored sweets barring the Haribo giant (and mini) Strawbs (not the softies though they're yuk too)
Sam is lovely but he's wrong aboit quality street... green triangle and purple one are top tier with the fudge and coffee/coconut anything should be off the bottom of the scale (amen about the nestle choc though). Celebrations perplex me as I also prefer galaxy and love malteasers, but hate snickers and bounty, and nit fussed about twix. He said he likes double deckers... just no, but I do agree about wispa texture.

@willywonka7812 my point was I'd prefer an actual increase in price that a decrease in size.
@@CameronM47 and I'd prefer to receive the full value of my labour, rather than the pittance that the own er ship class deigns to provide
I mean, Google the price increase on chocolate. Greed is real but so is genuine crazy price increases
It’s always been Quality Street for me. Although the size of the tubs these days is shocking.
Nestle is my least favourite, but if I had to pick my favourite box it would be the Celebrations because it has all my favourite chocolates in it.

I love a green triangle but they're tiny this year. The slogan for snickers is "you're not you when you're hungry"

Fantastic as always, and a very enjoyable upload there Sam,

Just to underline this, this is down to Sam's taste and no disrespect to any of the ones that weren't for him.... I love all of them :)
My favourite is Heroes
I still can’t believe galaxy got rid of their truffles 😢
@@maddiem-j9538 biggest injustice in chocolate tub history
😢😢 I know, delicious. Hoping Sam is right & it’s a marketing ploy & they come back!
Snickers and truffles are good also!
At last a review that elevates your channel to international status
In Heroes I would remove Eclair and Twirl and put in Boost and Timeout.
Eclairs my fave!
I'd remove your boost and replace it with a Star Bar
@Maya-db4wf madness 😂 never known an eclair lover!
@@mattlister yes to the boost!
I love sucking on eclairs and when you get to the chocolate, it's all soft and tasty.
All D tier because they are twice the price and half the size they used to be, not to mention the overall tub size
quality street and roses tins in the 70s/80s were huggeeeeee it took to easter to finish them
I adore anything toffee. Caramel too. Yummy. ❤
Quality street is ironically garbage, I don’t really eat chocolate that much, not really a sweet tooth but I probably would go with Heroes or Celebrations.
Yes, I do like a chocolatey fudgy, fudgy chocolate. 🎉
I'd fight you for the fudges, definitely the best
You used to be able to get eclairs in a roll kind of like fruit pastille and the coffee cream was apparently Ltd edition last year.
Sam why you in a mood
@@Lucyjanexxxxx I’m in a mood? 😅
Toffee Penny the best, not for chewing though - needs some lovin' by the way of a long suck (also fudge and toffee finger near the bottom for me)
I do love the twirl/flake/ripple but i find they suck all the moisture out of your mouth 😆

I like wispa but wispa gold with caramel is better, I feel creme egg products taste way worse than they used to
Ffs I want the MnS box now.
Have to respectfully disagree about Wispas, my all time favourite!
Does the Roses have the writing on each individual wrapper (contains milk etc) like Heroes does? 🍫

Love salted caramel
Hi Sam, thanks for the video, very strange I don't like sweets nor eat breakfast. I'm trying though
I found out just recently that I'm lactose intolerant and i can safely say the only christmas chocolate I'll miss is the quality street fudge 😋 😢
@MargaretPaini-ym2eh noooo. It is a good fudge I won’t lie
What monster bites down on an eclair???? You suck them wtf?????? Then the chocolate melts in the middle by the time you get to it what the actual hell
Thanks, now I'm hungry.
@shiftydog6969 go get a chocolate tub
Great video hope you’re well

Makes no odds to me what order they are in. I'm a vegan & believe it or not I'm not a lover of chocolate!
