Tinkerbell is a female ringneck, so they are a pair, of sorts. Tinkerbell seems to be in nesting mode. She is receptive to Beaker, and I think there's a video of him courting her and showing off his footwork. When she is out of her nesting spot, and hunkered on her tummy, that's her invitation to him. 😂 I have had two ringnecks in my time. Beautiful birds with cute personalities if you treat them properly and work with them❤

Yes he is. Sadly he was flirting with a picture of a female ringneck that was painted on a glass jar not long ago. There's a video of it. He was going all out, doing the poses, saying hello, etc., to the image of a yellow ringneck. Since ringmecks are not monogamous, it makes sense that he is already chasing other females now after he got with Tink. It's just their nature. They aren't a lifelong bonded pair the way some bird species are. But since there's only the two of them, they may function as a lifetime bonded pair, unless more females/males get introduced to the home. That would be interesting.

Tinkerbell is young. They've mated now, but I think it just took a little while due to inexperience. Ringnecks don't mate for life, so she wasn't pining over a former love. She was born in captivity most likely (I hope so), and this is probably her first coupling. In the wild they would mate with a different ringneck each season.

A friend of mine lives in a rural area. He loves to go on leisurely drives with his cockatoo. When they return home, if there are deer grazing in their front yard, the cockatoo will bark at them until they go scampering off into a nearby woodland. What's interesting is that my friend doesn't have a dog. But most of his neighbors have dogs and they bark at wildlife quite often. So maybe that's what the cockatoo thinks it's supposed to do whenever it sees a wild animal.

Back then, I felt sorry that Beaker didn't get a better mate - but OMG now knowing WHY she behaved the way she did, it just kills my soul. That precious baby wasn't being standoffish, and the reason she even rejected Ducky was because *her heart was broken and she was grieving*!!! Beaker was the perfect mate for sweet, loyal Tink to help her get over the loss of her first love Baby Blue. That video of her trying to say his name ripped my heart out. I feel so sorry for Tink and see her in a whole different light now. I feel awful for the things I said about her - but I didn't know. Sweet girl's heart is recovering finally, I'm so glad. ♥
Finally someone else has noticed. She isn't well and this person should take her to a vet that specializes in birds. This person is clearly doing this for the likes and the money. I've raised birds and how she is acting is not normal.
