Ok so about the character thing, at least for me it seems that when selecting the little door doesn't take you to tarnished character select, sometimes if you switch it to tainted then select the door it works. It's weird because sometimes it needs to be regular to work. I've found that it's good to experiment cause it's different every time I play. Idk I hope this works for you, sometimes neither work. Also I love your videos
I solved my Epiphany issues by disabling all my mods and then turning on 10 at a time until I found the mod that broke Epiphany (it was animated costumes for me) Essentially, turn off everything except Epiphany and make sure you can choose a tarnished character. Then turn on 10 mods and check that it's still working. Keep doing that until it breaks, then turn off half of the mods you just turned on and see if that fixes it. If it does, one of those 5 mods is what is breaking Epiphany, and if not, one of the other 5 mods from the last set of 10 is what's breaking Epiphany.
@lavencas a couple mods seemed to broke everyone else's mods a while ago, I'd give them a check to see which one's breaking Epiphany and the rest The ones that gave our players the most issues were: - Animated items - Animated costumes - Heart tokens - Godhead character - Void divided - Nemesis - Alt path for greed mode - Co-op plus - Locked Starting Trinkets

Isaac's heart can let you get into and out of curse rooms completely free, so if you're playing like Bethany and have dead cat and voodoo head it can be useful.
To the mod issue, i had a mod that was screwing with the epiphany mod (animated items) but now it works fine so another mod might be obstructing the mod's functionality
If it doesn’t let you pick a tarnished character and you are in a run as a character that just has a question mark on your head, I’m pretty sure if you save and quit the run and then continue it you can see the character selection menu.
What seems to work is to use the unlock all on the [C] menu. I guess the issue you have is that when you select the arnished door it starts the run as a black ? Isaac, and unlocking everything seemed to work for me. What I guess is that the mod can't register that you should have the characters unlocked but also that you do have their unlock method done (is a common spaggetti code thing), so you kinda have to use that option. Also idk if you can unlock them with their respective method, but I should check since I still did not defeated Mother.

Wait the tarnished mod is vroken for u ? hmm i have 0 issues with it since the update i just had to reinstall it and everything worked again did u reinstall it just to see if it works (from the steam workshop ofcourse)
SOLUTION FOR TARNISHED CHARACTERS: when you lock one character, the (?) character shows, but if you go back to the menu and press continue, It will work

It solo carried because you can block bullets with your body and you can move the heart it's self because it goes in the opposite direction you shoot
