Thank you sooooooo much for this video! This fixed my issue. I bought the part for $12 on Amazon. You saved me hundreds of dollars, since I know a mechanic would have replaced the fuel pump first and it wouldn’t have been the solution. Seriously, you’re awesome for making and posting this video.
Thankyou so much for this upload! I replaced the relay rather than trying to repair it and so far it's working! I have 92 accord. This was extremely difficult to get to! I wanted to also mention that I couldn't tell if there were cracked solder joints so I just placed the new one in and it fired right up! Thankyou again so much this fixed my car. Been dealing with my car not starting on hot days for about a year now!
Man thats awesome, way to go! I love taking old broken junk and making it run again. Information is the key, thanks a bunch. Really helped me out on my moms 94 honda.
Thanks for the video. Work great on my 94 Honda Accord . I found that one of the connections on the board was crazed so I reheated all of the contacts on the board. Car started up with easy . Thanks again
Well done video - I appreciate your patience and step-by-step instructions. I have a 1990 Accord, and they must have relocated the main relay. Mine is in one of the most inaccessible places I can imagine - still under the dash, but also under everything else including the fusion reactor and the main warp drive. This part seems to be an area of frequent failure; I'm glad they made it easier to get to. Thanks for the video!
Nice! Thanks for the video 👍 I’ll give it a whirl on my 97 Accord. Last night, she was driving like champ after work. Today, getting ready for work, she did not want to start 😬 Had to take the old gas guzzler to work instead. I have Thanksgiving off and Friday so I’ll be troubleshooting the no start issue.
Omg this could be the answer to my problems 😭😭😭 had 3 mechanics come look at my 97 acura Integra. Changed the speed sensor and nothing. Now someone said lock up solenoids but found this video by doing my own research.
@@alext818 :: did you try that what he did and is it working all right now,, on my car I got a 94 Honda Accord automatic in the floor and it start up all right but could not get it out Park but my brother figured that out got it out of park and I guess there's a solenoid underneath where did gear shift is I ordered a new one other day and it post come in today
Haven't tried it yet but kinda got a good laugh outa this cause I've been working on cars for any years and I knew it was something simple. I got a 92 accord from a friend that was over it because (quote "the fuel pump went out" ) It was given toe I went there fired it rite up never had a issue however yesterday and today it's been over 100 degrees out and it all of a sudden wasn't starting and d4 was flashing so I Google it everyone's saying fuel pump I'm saying no way it ran great the whole time I've had it and bam I find this video. Will update tomorrow when I pull it out and fix it
Same issue with mine where it won’t start and D4 and won’t turn over. Had to non op the car because I couldn’t find the problem. I’m going to try this as soon as I get home!
Great video, brother! I love how you explained what tools etc. you used. The D4 on my 98 Accord is blinking but it starts just fine so I'm wondering if this would still help.
Thanks a million I parked my honda for a whole year because of the same exact issue blinking d4 light and everything??. Starts sometimes and won't start other times.?? I am going to try 2 do this next I hope it works for me like it did for you.??
Thank you sooo much. My new main relay came in today and I swapped it out. Tadaaaaa! Btw....Are your bones made of rubber? I only ask because I can't figure out for the life of me how you got under the dash. Lol Helpful tip for readers with the same issue, I used a mirror.
I have the same problem with my 92 Honda Accord, the car starts with no problem, but soon as I put the car on drive, the D4 light keeps flashing constantly, woild it be the same problem?
My car HAD a D4 light flashing and then we lose power at times during the two weeks after a small fender bender I was in it still ran and then one day I was driving slow and I lost some power in the CD player shut off and came back on really quick and same thing with the rest of the power to the car and I saw a couple flashes come from under the hood which was crunched up a little bit from the accident. These could be pinched or expose wires, but then One night when I went to leave it started out as it always did just fine I put it in reverse and as soon as I push on the gas every single thing about the car shut off and has not come back on since even with a new battery in it. So I am wondering if it is the main relay or the main fuse. I want for these cars I don’t quite understand them inside and out I have definitely never had this problem with them, for this car only has 100,000 miles on it. I have it for sale on mine right now for dirt cheap and was informed today after several people told me it would be my alternator, That it could be one of those two issues of the relays or the fuse. If anybody who is in full of hot air good let me know because I was going to remove it and bring it down and have it tested for free at an automotive electric company as soon as I get back from fighting the forest fires. And it is only $60 for one of these parts. So if they only cost 60 damn dollars to say fix this car, instead of selling it for a 10th of what I bought it for, then I am going to frickinfix it. His name is Mr. Biggleswerth. Just kidding it’s name changes frequently from Piece of Shit, to Baby, Bedroom, Living Room, and Eyesore. But I’ll only buy Honda’s, Toyota, Lexus, or maybe Nissan. Eventually Ferrari(just one) or Hummer H1-BEFORE THEY RUINED IT for the Single debt-ridden Dads having mid-life crises and the TANF moms blocking two spots at the grocery store. Thanks for your vid man you may have potentially saved me from selling cluckin’ my car that might be repairable for $58.99, than accepting two hundred fifty regrets and likely receiving a simultaneous Thank you/FU note from the buyer advising me that he just bought a $2,000 car that cost $60 to fix and how lucky he feels.
Thank you very helpful I have a 1993 Honda Accord that needs a few things done to it . Would appreciate any help you could give me on timing belt cover, belt and water pump Stay Well
I noticed before the check engine light would stay on and the d4 light flashes immediately and it wont start. After you fixed The relay the check engine light goes off very quickly and it's running. I have a 95 accord but the d4 light will only start flashing after the check engine light stays on for 20 seconds. The fuel pump will not prime until that check engine light goes off. Theres no point in cranking on it because theres no fuel till the light goes out. This is my problem every morning. Once it runs for a short while I dont have a problem although its starting to take longer and longer for the check engine light to go off no matter what.
@Eric Ramming It's the ECU, the electrolytic capacitors inside have gone out of spec either by drying out or leaking their gel out onto the circuit board!
I have the exact same problem. I replaced that relay and it started right up but about two days later it started doing the same thing again. And today on the way home from work the engine started dying randomly
Actually it took me a long time to search online with the symptoms i was having...then i found two possibilities...and when i checked this one...I was very happy. So then i decided to post a quick video so others can maybe figure out a possibility of it being their fixable situation.
