About Sanford And Son: The highest-rated half-hour series in NBC history at the time, Sanford and Son stars Redd Foxx as the cantankerous sexagenarian Fred Sanford and Demond Wilson as his son Lamont, also his business partner in the family junk-dealing business. To prevent his son from leaving home, and bent on having things his own way in general, Fred often calls upon such ruses as fake heart attacks or phony back ailments. Lamont usually sees through these subterfuges, but because he loves his father, he lets him think he's getting his way.

I loved this show! And Rex Fox and Lamont ( I can't remember his name at the moment) were a class act. Lamont went on to be a minister from what I understand too. This show brings back wonderful memories of my childhood like all the 70s televisions shows.

@@theoriginal668 yupper, it was all the stress that the fucking IRS put on him (3packs a day didn't help either). Redd Foxx was an extrememly generous man, he help a lot of the actors on the show. I think if he'd had a better accountant, maybe things would have been different. But, hind sight is 20/20.
