In 2017, i lost my 2-month daughter due to a birth defect. My wife and i were emotionally devastated. To clear our mind and wash away our loss, we decided to go on vacation to Cape Town with our then-two-year old daughter. Man, no words can express the feeling we experienced in Cape Town! We stayed at Bijoux Hotel, located down town (very safe place). All i can say is we definitely had the best two weeks of lives and headed back home as happy, strong and relaxed as ever. @@traceylankford8579 everything is more expensive in Capetown, from rentals , clothes etc, but the vibe is so chilled and laid back most times , if you're coming from a cheaper city eg Jozi it will annoy you for a few months but you get over it

There are plenty. However, the distance is abit far though from where you're currently at. Hey Jules! People from Jozi normally come to Cape Town for NYE, and spend a week. Jozi gets dry between X-mas and NYE, as most people normally go to their parent's' homes (outside of Jozi) for X-mas, then do either Cape Town or Durban for NYE.
The townships are a vibe too in CPT, you'll love Rands, Ace and other places too, maybe when your friend Khanya is in Cape Town you could check out those places, it's December!

Muskat and chardonney were let longer to ripe in the barrel they are much softer to drink. Sweet vines are picked later so they can ripe and develop more sugar. Enjoy yourself. ❤

You are spot on, the weather is definitely bipolar here. All for seasons in one day, it’s insane! Definitely visit the Kirstenbosch Gardens, it’s beautiful there. Try and visit Franschhoek, take the wine trams on different wine routes, you will lose your mind for your mountains in Franschhoek. Stellenbosch has amazing wine farms as well, and try the spice route in Paarl. The wine is bomb ass all over Cape Town! 🥂🍾

When the clouds start forming over Table Mountain like a tablecloth, it's a telltale sign that the southeaster wind (Cape Doctor) is either on it's way, or already blowing. The southeaster can gust up to 100 km/h (65 miles/hour). Good luck walking around downtown....lol
Wine farms to visit in Stellenbosch JC le Roux, Asara, guardian peak, Spier. Franschoek Nederberg, Paarl Solms Delta Robben Island is a must, take the red bus tour Houtbay has the best fish try it. Also drive to Simon's Town or take the train it's beautiful see the penguins in Boulders Beach go to Cape point. The night drive on ou kaapse weg it's spectacular.

Spend New Year’s eve/ New Year’s in Cape Town. I don’t know now with Covid but most JHB personalities party in Cape Town in December. Johannesburg is normally a ghost town in December.
Cape Town was really showing off here, the bipolar weather was on best behavior even Table mountain was showing off her table cloth. I'm a Joburger and will always have a soft spot for my city but around late December Cape Town and Durbs are thee places to be. There's some sort of an exodus around Johannesburg during that time so you are in the right place.

Cape Town was really showing off here, the bipolar weather was on best behavior even Table mountain was showing off her table cloth.
I'm a Joburger and will always have a soft spot for my city but around late December Cape Town and Durbs are thee places to be. There's some sort of an exodus around Johannesburg during that time so you are in the right place.
You will have more fun in Cape Town for the festive season I hope you enjoy your stay in our city.
