The fact anyone who does this song has to use a lady to emulate Brad is in itself the best tribute to Brad ever. RIP BD!
Brad had some killer pipes. clear and powerful.
Ann Marie is SMOKIN' on this! You guys are all fantastic, but I just love her voice!
I strongly suspect the keyboardist had played this a couple times before this project was brought to him. That was just *too* spot on.
Wow, do you think he might have practised? 🤔
@@tree267 Inconceivable!!!
Yes. Reminds me of when the drummer in our pick up band suggested "Tom Sawyer" which it turned out he knew completely as he had totally geeked on it as a drum student. Very likely something similar going on here.
@@tree267: And practiced also.
That roland sound is pretty universal but I agree every more was on point
Yep. That was just what I needed on a Monday morning. The day will now suck less. Great job, Geeks!
Hands down the keyboard player was the star of this show . Great job !!
I loved watching the keyboard player. Seeing all those up-and-down swipes makes the music seem more dynamic. "OH, that's what I'm hearing!"
Backing Voc sounds HUGE!!
NOW we need Anns sister back in there WITH her again. Emily and ANN are a dynamic duo.
Brilliant! I love the little vocal nuances Ann Marie sneaks in that most average people would miss. But not us Geek Band fans!
Such a fun song played with so much heart. Peak humanity.
I really love the way this girl leaves a little piece of her soul in every song she sings.
I’ve listened to this song for my entire life. The guitar and bass riff after the first Hammond solo has always sounded like “ink a dink a bottle of ink”.
You’re welcome for the earworm. 😂
...YEAH! Frickin' Great!! 😎🏁😎🏁😎🏁
Awesome job all around, but extra kudos to Ann Marie Nacchio and Rob Kipp for taking this one into interstellar overdrive!!!
HOLY MOLY!! That organ solo is one of the best things I've ever heard. Every bit as good as the original. The guitars... The vocals... Everything is top shelf!
The Genius of Tom Scholz and Boston performed perfectly by the Band Geeks..AWESOME
Ohhh...sh..t ! They can play anything regardless which instrument they have in their hands for the moment! One moment, bass, next, guitar and so on...Very very talented musicians👌👌Ann Marie´s singing fits everywere!
Absolutely Awesome!! Totally Nailed that kick-a$$ Boston song!! **Well ALRIGHT**!!
Sweet - great work guys.
Outstanding!!! I was a freshman in college when that record came out and have listened to it hundreds of times over the years. Great work by all, especially the keyboards. WOW!!
This cover is truly Smokin !!! Thanks so much. This song is in my all time top favorites by any band. Brought back great memories of the time in 1980 when my friends and I were thrown out of a small bar in Lake Bonaparte NY for putting $5 in the juke box and queuing up Smokin and the Blues Brothers' Rubber Biscuit back-to-back about 10 times in row. I think we got tossed when Smokin' started playing for the 3rd time. I always wondered if they ended up unplugging the juke box.
That's hilarious haha
Another great cover, kids! Kipp was right on with the hammond business! Great topper for a Monday morning! Thank you! BTW New BOC is killer. Was so ready to be disappointed, why? I can't really say, but I listen to it every morning at work as I go through my emails and such!
Another exceptional effort !!! ... I saw Boston back in '87 at the Texas Jam ... they came on after Whitesnake and Aerosmith ... general admission was $20 ... those are the days that come to mind when I hear that music today ... up the irons !!!!
Now you can't even get a bottle of water for $20 at a concert.
Making music for the pure joy and happiness it brings...
Thanks again guys, you can’t know how much it means that you share these gems with us!
Awesome 👌🎵👌🎵🤘🤘🤘
Brad Delp - The Nicest Guy in Rock'n'roll
RIP
Thank you so much!
Very tight!! Great job!!!
That man on the organ is a BAD MAN. DAMN. And Ann Marie, you are driving me WILD with those vocals girl. Your man is a lucky LUCKY man. Another SMASH HIT by what may be the internet's best cover band.
Somebody below wrote that the Band Geeks are the standard by which "covers" are measured.
I disagree.
I think the Band Geeks are the standard by which the ORIGINAL BANDS that recorded the songs the Band Geeks cover are measured! ; - )
As much as I love a great cover, it's something else entirely to create the song from scratch, as any of the musicians in the video would tell you.
AWESOME JOB....She looks fantastic in this video
Super nice Rockin Rolling all the WAY
As always, awesome, spot on!
Absolutely my favourite Boston song- cooked to a fine degree here, perfect.
Ann Marie looking more like her sister than usual. Beautiful ladies with amazing voices.

JUST...WOOOOOOW!!!!!!!
Here I am three years later still loving this!
Just when you think they can't possibly get better, Bam ! Another stratospheric cover ! Phenomenal !! I dream to be in this band .
That's such a fat gibson tone. Love it. Fun sounding and busy riff. Boston was something else
Spectacular voice Anne Marie. Great band. Fantastic 💪💪💪💪💪 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰. I love the band
Wow Guys you nailed that song !!!!
right way to turn a day into a bright one!
Didn't know Boris Johnson was doing drums!
On a serious note: wow! what a masterpiece! I love this song as an original and this one is a perfect cover!
Funny, cause I always thought it was Julian Assange....
OUTSTANDING!
Wow I really enjoyed that. Thanks!
Holy C***, you all nailed it!!
these guys are TRUE PROS!
Best cover of Smokin' on the interwebs ever. And dare I say it? Rob is SMOKIN' on that keyboard solo!
WOW!!!!! You guys ROCK!!!!!
Spot on job! I loved it.... you guys are keeping the great stuff alive !
Please more Boston! Greetings from Italy. Bravi!!
Outstanding
All of them are incredible.
Now that was smokin! Just an absolutely incredible performance by all! Anne Marie killed it, particularly in the higher register! So thoroughly enjoyed that killer rendition! Big fan in Canada 🇨🇦
Holy Sweet Christ.😮😮😮. Perfect
Rob Kipp's playing and Ann Marie's singing made my Monday.
Blown away again, guys! Y’all killed it!
I so want that Helix patch!!! Amazing Vocals !!! Great cover of my "other" favorite band.
Yes! I can't quit SMOKIN!
I bought the new Boston Album in the summer of 1976. All I have to say is that I loved your version of Smokin as much as I loved Boston's. Thankfully, I was born in 1952, so I was around at the perfect age to enjoy what is called today, Classic Rock.
Damn! That was ..... frikkin' smokin'!!! Top shelf... off the chain... slammin'... Awesome job, people! Keep it up!
Spot on perfection as always!!!
loved this, get down with this version now!
YEAH!! 🤘
Flawless!
wow! .... killing it
This is wonderful. Thanks!
What can be said that hasn't been said before...Awesome and perfect!!!! Thanks Geeks.
That.......was awesome. That keyboard guy was getting a workout with all the tone switching he was doing. Top notch job on that.
Outstanding!
Great as usual. Anne Marie was fabulous again. That organ was smokin. 👍👍
Great choice for the one to sing!!
Hell Yeah. This song really smokes
The Band Geeks have become my myth!
Hope you guys are using your engineering talents to the fullest. $$$$$🤗 You are awesome!
Nailed it. *applauds*
That guitar tone is sweet!
AWESOME!
Awesome. Another great cover.
Wow!
If this was hockey it was the infamous "Gordie Howe Hat trick"!!! In-freakin’-credible!!!!! Ann Marie was awesome as usual. The instrumentalists were amazing!!! For me the star of the show was Rob Kipp on keys. Tom Scholz will be calling you on Monday for lessons on how to play the music HE WROTE!!!! WHOA NELLY!!!! Congrats folks. That’s a Grammy or a Granny or something. Peace. 🤘
Awesome♥
🤘😎🤘
Oh, HELL yes!
Perfect in every way!
Wow...the harmonies sound fantastic!
Thanks... makes my day...
wow!!!!!! absolutely amazing!! Ann Marie crushed it!!
Wow,the hair on the back of my neck is stood up,awesome cover.
Awesome!
She rocks the roof off🤘🤟🤙Great cover BOSTON my high school days..🍻🍺🍹🍸🍷🍾Parties all night and day.
Tight tight tight, girl you hit them notes too. Cheers
Have you guys ever done Hitch a Ride? Man I would love to hear that. So much intricate vocal work on that one.
That's become my favorite track of theirs, so good!
I can't like this enough. When she wants, Ann Marie can make her voice sound like velvet. (See their cover of Babe I'm Gonna Leave You)... She could totally pull that one off while still putting her own spin on it. Vocally they could do it no problem.
@@ScotchTape you're right - it was great ---I was there! lol
Lexington Lab Band does an absolutely spot-on cover. ruclips.net/video/AHbQoJ9IUbw/видео.html
Great job... thanks for making my Monday a lot more bearable....
