Not bad setup at all. Should work great. That little stop ring you shown goes on the shaft first. Then the camera mount . The camera mount should rest on it. It has several purposes. One, if you are inspecting a board you can loosen the camera mount grub screw and swing the cam around. Second if the grub screw on the cam mount comes loose then the lens does not go smashing into the base or your work. Thanks for sharing.
Bought the same camera but with autofocus, including the ring light. Arrived a few days ago. Assembled and now ready for use. Also didn’t have a clue where that ‘stop ring’ was supposed to go.
Oxford Electronics - using a 0.35x on both the camera mount lens and the Barlow lens allows me to have the height at about 16” and use the full zoom, any closer means I cannot zoom all the way in, so plenty of working distance there for putting bits of equipment under it. I can get that height because I added a second vertical extension which isn’t shown in this video.
That looks just the job :-D I would expect it to take a while to get the setup adjusted for ideal use. That base needs some lead pouring into it, or concreate. Reversing the base sounds very appealing :-D. I liked the sudden pop pop unpack :-D i would chuck the supplys in a box and do evil things to the pins lol. Also add a plastic rocker switch on the box to turn the mains on to them all. Your monitor needs to be at eyeline for easy viewing, just my opinion of cause.
zx8401ztv - I have the cables hanging from my lighting, so if I need to use the scope I just pop it on the desk and plug it in, not much hassle. I put the monitor towards the rear of my desk, close enough to see ok but far enough out the way to not be a hindrance when it’s not being used.
interesting video, I have also one of eakins cameras. but I have problem with white and colour balance settings -have you may be some experience how to solve this??
Greetings! I was tricked by the seller of the Eakins microscope - Eakins Microscope Store. There is no HDMI image, the sensor sent not a high-quality Sony IMX 290, but a cheap IMX 307. I would like to ask you to check the presence of + 5V on the 18 HDMI contact from the microscope. Is + 5V supplied to pin 20 (VDD5) FE1.1S USB 2.0 HIGH SPEED 4-port HUB Controller? My FE1.1S controller has a №20 pin off the board. Besides, check it out, please. Is there +5V on pin 18 of the HDMI connector?
open the camera 4 screws hold it to reveal sensor on the board you will find sensor version, I got conned by aliexpress eakins ordered imx290 when received opened it up turns out to be a cheap imx307 raised dispute still ongoing

Yes that was my conclusion too in the end, I have it fitted ender the mount for exactly that reason.

Im assuming you got the no U disk storage which is the 1 usb version right? Which means that is the IMX290? Is that one legit or a fake one?
why did you link the whole internet in the description? it looks like a search engine
Great video, what lens are you getting next? We do cell repair and need at least 8 inches working distance.
