Oh ya, i confirm, there´s Boomer in your blood. But also some Chicago crossing rr. That pile of junk around scrap container and water pooddle could be his. So pleasant to see an evoluting layout with constant add on. Watch out for snakes 😊
Fantastic work Christian looks awesome postmodern. lots of time put in there but well worth it. Great share enjoyed all the way👍🏻👍🏻 Have a great rest of your day and week 😎🚂🫵
I got interested in making a small detailed model train railroad from watching some small Japan model railroads. I tried to build a room filling - layout ,but it just turned into a drag. I could never create interesting scenes, I was only worried about filling in blank spaces and the scenery stunk and was too booring ! Now I create a switching layout and have more fun with a 4 x 6 layout ! I love it NOW !
As a fellow Boomer subscriber building my first layout (at age 72) your channel has been a great inspiration, showing me that what Boomer does can be done by others, and it can be fun making all the detailed bits and pieces. Thank you.
Well done it's awesome, and was very nice to hear you talk through the whole approach, the good the bad, the frustration and the excitement, who and what inspired you. Amazing project it's been great following your journey. Boomer does help us all and yes he is a master, however don't sell yourself short. It was awesome to hear you refer to your work as "art" you have done yourself proud and you are also inspiring people, thank you again for sharing your journey with us all
Hello, I love the photography Ken Burns effect. How did you do that? I would like to be able to do something photo wise in the future. Many thanks and love your set up. As soon as I watched the first one I knew you must've been a fan of Boomer as I am as well. Cheers.
This work is crazy good! If ya want help putting the internals into that little switcher? Holler at me. I MIGHT can do it, I have built some small units. It's crazy that EVERYTHING is hand-made like that, and your weathering technique is on point. You might have mentioned this, but how long did this take you, with all that detail?
Man, thanks for all that Mark, I’m truly humbled. As for 226, it’s kinda special and I don’t like to be defeated, so I will revisit that project with a clear head and work my way through it. Thank you for offering, it’s very gracious of you.
I think I’m about 30 months since I built the board. Most of the time was delay in making decisions on which way to go with different things because once you commit it’s a lot of work to redo it. And I still had to redo a bunch of stuff due to lack of experience and understanding. But I learned a lot.
And the Model Railroad Category is:
Best Looking Garbage & Trash
And the Winner Is?😮
I can see the King Rats scurrying around!!!
The level of detail is incredible.
awesome thanks for sharing.😊😊👍👍
Thank you too
Can't wait to see the next thing you work on. This was such an amazing layout, and I know the next will be even better
Thank you so much!
@@PostmoderneModelWorks it's my pleasure to see such beautiful work

Thank you Mike, it’s been two and a half years. Hope you have a great day as well.
The best way to judge the value of a layout as nice as yours is to go back and see it at the beginning. Thanks for the ride on the Time Machine.👍
Thank you, it’s fun to look back and see it all come to life.
Amazing layout you built…details out of this world…you’ve got great talent…

Looking forward to seeing what you do next 🤠
Thanks Randy, me too
The art of a model is in the detail and use of color pallets...you clearly have a eye and vision to create such a masterpiece.
Thank you, it’s all in the details.

Amazing work, been following your channel for a bit. After watching, I decided to try my hand At scratch building a dumpster
Yeah man, styrene is really easy to work with once you get started, and getting started is the most difficult part. Go make something.
@PostmoderneModelWorks it really is everything on my layout but 1 building is scratch built following tips from boomer and others such as yourself
Now i can call the cop. I know who made that Post modern tag. It´s you bad guy 😅😅

Thank you Howie, and no, probably not. I’m glad you’re here for the ride though.
