The stuff of nightmares
BIOS updates are really scary
Where has the youtube algorithm brought me today
Lol
😂
BIOS updates are terrifying. straight up full stop no debating no arguing.
I hate updating hp laptops bios... They go like jet engines and then black screen loop until i force shutdown.. (none of them died tho)
They have batteries, orders of magnitude safer than updating the bios on a typical desktop pc.
All laptops does something similar to this whilst BIOS updating
HP has such a shit bios interface in terms of features, although none of them died/

Basically the same as my friend’s Victus and my Omen 15. Laptops have batteries, so they’re not terrifying like desktops.
mine acer got bricked because of cutting of electricity. it was in the middle of the update but after that it died
the only thing scarier is if the bios flash screen came back on just to throw an ad to buy another one right the hell after they bricked it
it's not scary, that's normal process and you will hear the Fan(s) spinning crazily and then everything shuts off and then it will boot up normally
uefi (the firmware that have replace the legacy bios) update are indeed really scary cause they can brick your device if something goes really wrong
