It certainly appears there is also a large middle class of Burmese people living there that can afford to go out eat and drink the night away. That was pretty vibrant there in China Town by night. One would hope they would be generous to those more in need. Really enjoyed this video Chai. Thanks for sharing. 🤩
Thanks Steven. Unfortunately it’s only a small percentage of the population who’s able to have such a night out on a Friday night. It was still great to experience to see a lot of people enjoying themselves after such a trip 🙏 cheers mate. Have a lovely weekend 🤟🏼
for the person @GoodGood-vb8gm that posted to me what I defined as middle class and then close to remove it. This is the best description I could come up with - "Those in the middle class have enough disposable income to afford minor luxuries like vacations or restaurants but also rely on borrowing for big-ticket items like homes and cars."
I didn't realise how much I love my hometown, and the view of me makes me sad that I can only see it in vlogs. I miss the chill vibe of my hometown that we used to have. I"I hope that our country will soon be free from military coup. Thank you Chai and have a safe trip 🍀
Hey Chai. I just want to tell you that the man with the cart whom you asked if he was selling salad, is also selling tea leaf salad but like another variation of it. It contains peanut, corn, some green tomatoes and the tea leaf. It is also quite delicious so if you come back here one day, I would to suggest you to try it.
Thanks God, life is still somehow safe in a few parts in Myanmar, Yangon is one of it ! I love tea leaf salad, there are many diff. varieties, all are delicious ! Thank you Chai, very nice to see your explorings 🙏❤
Thanks! Aw yeah, it’s good to see people were enjoying (Also, trying to enjoy). You got to love the tea leaf salad 😋 thanks again and have a great Sunday ❤️
That is nice bakery & coffee shop...l used to hanging out with my childhood friends in there.... Yes.. definitely they should close the entrance door for AC...
I personally think 19th street is a little bit overrated. It only got popular because of social medias. It has too many bars and restaurants. Doesn't feel authentic like other street foods places. I recommend you go next time you're here to places like (H)Ledan crossroads where you can find at least a mile long street foods shops. So many varieties to choose.
Thank you for posting this. I am planning to visit yangon and mandalay. I would like to throw bagan in there if I have time, but I'm slightly nervous about making that journey. But everywhere else looks ok. Is there anything in particular i need to know and watch for? Thanks
Thanks! I’ve made a video especially for that! I hope it’s useful. If you have any other questions please let me know in a new comment and I’ll try to answer
Hi hi, I’ve left Myanmar already and hope to return whenever it’s safe for me to do so. A quick stop in KL is coming up, than the North of Thailand. I’ll be roaming around SE Asia for a few years. Indonesia, Cambodia, Vietnam also are on the list for this year 🙏

It is quite empty for a Friday night. It used to be more crowded than this.

Hiii
you should go to timecity
the side of myanmar no body talks a bout
Thanks for the advice
How safe is it for a tourist to visit Yangon right now?
Due to the situation I wouldn’t say it’s totally safe. Though it’s fairly safe as a foreign tourist in Myanmar compared to other parts of the country🙏
Not very safe at the moment but if you want to go check out myanmar and eat Burmese food, You should go to myanmar/ thai border instead.

You have been watching too much BBC and other news. He has been all over Myanmar and still alive.
Business as usual in Chinatown
Chinese Quarter is business as usual no matter what
May peace and justice be revealed soon!
You should go to thai border if you want more views. A lot of people are intrested in what's going on over there
It would be an interesting journey indeed. Thanks for thinking along 🙏
🤦🤦🤦🤦
What's up?
Thank you sir 🫡😁 have a good weekend
