Yoav Levanon records Liszt's La Campanella (from Grandes études de Paganini, S. 141)

- The 17-year-old pianist Yoav Levanon's debut album, entitled A Monument for Beethoven, unites works by Liszt, Chopin, Mendelssohn, and Schumann that were written to fundraise for the Beethoven monument in Bonn. Discover here: w.lnk.to/mbeLY
This album honors the contribution made by those four composers - especially Liszt - when the city of Bonn staged festivities in 1845 to mark the 75th anniversary of Beethoven’s birth. (Beethoven had died in 1827.) In particular, they helped to raise funds for the statue of Beethoven, sculpted by Ernst Julius Hähnel, which then after stood in Bonn’s cathedral square. As Yoav Levanon says: "To me, their involvement in memorializing Beethoven is emblematic of the great fellowship and solidarity that exists among musicians."

I must say, this performance is just sinfully underrated. I've always loved Nobuyuki's performance the most, but this is on par for sure. The Finesse and delicate expression here, along with that precision is absolutely incredible. Now this an Nokuyuki's are my favs, I feel bad that I haven't seen this until now :P Also! Dude literally looks like he could be related to Liszt
