Wow so peeps have so many questions Pay attention peeps or watch, listen, again & again Man uses multiple EQs so he can FINE TUNE, MAKE ADJUSTMENTS TO EACH INDIVIDUAL SIGNAL, SOUND WAVE, without a DSP without a computer & run higher input voltage therefore getting a stronger, cleaner signal to amps therefore getting the best quality sound / music possible 🚙🔊🔊🔊🔊💨💨💨💨💨🎼🎵🎶💯%💪💪
This could all be achieved with a 6 or 8 channel dsp. It will have 31 bands per channel of eq and crossovers for each channel. Also the use of all those eq's is redundant. Since the crossover is a 4 way crossover all you need is two channels in from EQ. The cutting on the EQ's is not needed as the crossover cuts all frequecies above or below the crossover points. Bass cuts at 80 hz, midbass is pass band 80hz-500hz, midrange is 500hz-3khz and tweets are 3000khz-16khz. You can still use a single eq into dsp if you like that.
@@carlosquijano9839 Ok but why so many EQ's and a external crossover? I have been in car audio/home audio/PA for over 20 yrs. Both as a hobbiest and a professional. This makes no sense to me. trying to understand your logic behind it.
Well, my crossover is 10 channels, any input channel required specific frequency’s no matter that would but set at the output. Why??? Better output frequency quality.
At most maybe just one preamp eq. If u have a dsp that should be doing most of the heavy tuning. A good sounding system with a dsp + preamp eq should sound clean and crisp with all eq setting on the preamp eq flat. Of course given if the music is of good quality, but that’s where the preamp eq comes into play to correct that if it’s questionable but that’s just me personally.
Damn, this is more complex than I thought. I just recently bought a Medusa, I mean I’m only using a eq for bass and one for my chuchero, a clarion and a autotek, it would be great if I can set that up before going to my installer so I can save some money. I know a little bit but not that much.
Why do these setups use these old style EQs rather than using a full function DSP that could take care of equalization & crossover, and even give you the added benefit of phase and time alignment functions? I think those functions would be rather useful for these set ups and if done properly could eliminate the need for a wired external setup.
Perfect explanation, I’m new to the car audio and I’m using a dsp for my set up but what o want to know is where exactly do we put the fuse blocks for the amps.
@@franklynfrancis5516 honestly if this if your first build I would suggest you to either go to an experienced installer or look at plenty of videos on RUclips first before going into it. You need a fuse right next to your battery up front.
You should have two fuse locations a primary main fuse next to the battery(s) (positive leads only), and a distribution fuse point back by the amps (positive leads only). The one at the battery protects the wire from catching fire, The one back by the amps protects the distribution wires and amps.
What if my cd player just have front out and rear/sub out pretty much 2 channel ! Should I get a different CD player or can I do the same with the splitter you did here in this video cuz I’m trying to connect 3 amps i already have 2 connect with ds18 7 band equalizer but I need another out put..
Im getting a medusa cable for my chucheros can i connect the power to my amp and would my radio turn on still or do i have to get a second battery to power it beacuse ive been asking where do i connect it and people say the back battery
So on each EQ you are only using a few knobs for a given frequency range on those drivers right? Like for the tweeters let’s say the last 3 knobs to the right for 3.5k and up the next Eq you use the middle 4 knobs etc, In addition you get a main volume control for those channels? Ive been racking my brain in this for years and finally started to understand the last couple years and even more just last week or so on how to determine when one needs multiple vs one. I’m running a DSP with 31 bands but I like the idea of having an like a 7 band EQ on the dash for on the fly changes when switching music genres. I wish the audio control wasn’t only a 3 band so I could run what matches an epicenter in dash.
My friend thank you very much for this vidio, I was wondering if you can do a video explaining L-A speaker 🔈 box may be with a sample box and what is actually do for the system. Thank you

I think I have to do samething like this aswell cuz I’m trying to connect a 3rd amp but I’m limited on my out puts on my ds18 7 band equalizer.. I need an out put for my 3rd amp which is a four channel for my tweeters
Shoutout to you bro 💯 but i had an issue where I ran all my RCAs to my crossovers and I couldn’t get no music to one of my chucheros , do i have to run a processor ?
no you don't it will sound just fine tuned with a digital radio crossover but for unmatched sound quality using a crossover is best but nah man you good
I don't run dsps they are good if you know how to work them and keep them updated by plugging them into the computer so what works best for me is using clarion or any type of active crossover with eqs and it will be the best sound quality
Thanks for your reply, I like the simplicity of just having on thing do all the work I don't like to see too much wiring so I chose a dsp instead but for some reason I cannot bring out the best of it, running 4 18 sound 10's 2 JBL st400's 2 ds18 2" horns and 2 prv 1" horns I cannot get it loud 🔊📢
El preamplificador autotek viene para k le entre un audio full rango por sus entradas no conectándolo de la salida sub del estéreo porque el pre corta normalmente

Hey bro, thanks for the vid, can you make a video of how you hold them down into the Radio Box?
Do u set volume knob on max on all of them and just use the radio for the main music volume?
Hey where did you get that rca splitters from
Perfect explanation, I’m new to the car audio and I’m using a dsp for my set up but what o want to know is where exactly do we put the fuse blocks for the amps.

Can u use 1 amp (1channel) and still be able to control separate speakers with your equalizers
This is what they call LA , it’s A 6.5 inch mid bass/range speaker with wave guide . Drivers usually have this horn connected to it.

you are correct that's what I do cut frequencys for each driver with my eqs for optimum quality

that might be a speaker wire or speakon connection issue it shouldn't be a problem with the cross over
I dont understand why you wouldnt just control the chuchero in 1 equalizer do you really care about specifically adjusting each one

What pioneer radio you recommend bro. So many don't know which ones to get
I recommend the pioneer DEH-80 PRS but if you cant find that one the Pioneer DEH-x7800BHS is really good also
Yoo where the chipeo at I’m in Kissimmee this week
can you please do a video on how to wire up a chuchero and the speakon cable to the amp? please
for sure man I got you
Where do u get those cables coming from the radio to the eq.? Could you send me a link please
look in comments bro they in there linked

Great job
Where you get the rca at ?
How do you wired tweeters and drivers?
So would a PRV DSP 2.8X replace all of this ?
Yes
What model is that pioneer?
You have 5 equalizers don’t u need 2 crossovers
He said multiple times he has 2 Clarion cross overs
He showed you one & one is sitting on the side out of view
great video bro,is there anyway u can send me the video just incase it deletes ?
Good explanation
Need the yellow wire, radio will for get settings?
correct didn't know that at the time
Where do you connect yellow wire
How do you set the clarion crossover for mids what frequency?
your speakers have a frequency range just set the xover at or above that frequency those clarions are very good xovers
What eq is that for bass?
Do tutorial on using a dsp instead of all those EQ's just straight from headunit to dsp I'm having issues with my system
